      • Duplication or deletion of chromosome 17p11.2-p12 in CMT1 and HNPP peripheral neuropathy patients

        CMT와 HNPP 말초신경증은 가장 흔하게 발병하는 운동 및 감각 말초신경계의 선천성 질환이다. CMT1과 HNPP의 유전적 원인으로는 염색체 17p11.2-p12의 1.5 Mb 지역의 중복과 결실이 각각 50%이상과 70% 이상을 차지하는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구에서 한국인 CMT1 및 HNPP 환자를 대상으로 중복 및 결실을 조사하였는데, 31 CMT1 가족 중 13 가족에서 중복을 보였으며 (42%), 24 HNPP 가족 중 19 가족에서 결실을 보였다 (79%). 17p11.2-p12 중복을 보이는 CMT1A 환자가 HNPP 결실환자보다 발병 연령, 발병 기간, 근육 이양성 및 족 기형성에서 훨씬 심한 증상을 보였다. Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies (HNPP) are most common inherited motor and sensory peripheral neuropathies. The majority of CMT1 patients have a 1.5 Mb duplication in chromosome 17p11.2 while most HNPP patients have a deletion of the same region. In the analysis of Korean CMT1 and HNPP patients, each HNPP deletion and CMT1A duplication was observed from 79% (19 families) among 24 HNPP families and 42% (13 families) among 31 CMT1 families. CMT1A duplication patients showed more severe clinical symptoms than HNPP deletion patients, when we examined oneset age, disease duration, muscular atrophy, foot deformity and scoliosis.

      • 가속냉각형 TMCP-AH36강의 용접 후열처리효과에 관한 연구

        It is known that the fine bainite microstructure obtained by accelerated cooling of TMCP steel secures the high toughness of base metal and TMCP steel is very suitable for high heat input welding as it has low carbon equivalent. In the HAZ, however, the accelerated cooling effect imparted on the matrix by the weld thermal cycles is relieved and thus the weldment of TMCP steel has softening zone which shows low fracture strength compared with base metal. Therefore, PWHT of weldment is carried out to improve the fracture toughness in weldment of TMCP steel which has softening zone. In this study, the effects of PWHT on the weldment of TMCP steel are investigated by mall punch(SP) test. From the results of this test, we summarized on follows. 1) The hardness of HAZ which showed softening was recovered up to that of as received base metal in the PWHT conditions of 600℃-water cooling, 720℃-air cooling, 850℃-air cooling and 850℃-1sec water cooling. 2) From the several results such as SP energy and displacement at room temperature, the behavior of transition curves, uppershelf energy of transition curves, fracture strength at - 196℃, distribution of (DBTT)_sp and(△DBTT)_sp, the PWHT condition of A.C. after 850℃-1 W.C was very suitable condition for recovering a softening zone of HAZ in as welded.

      • 비글개에서 l-muscone의 급성독성 및 아급성독성시험 연구

        Single and 4 weeks oral administration of l-muscone, a major active ingredient of musk, to beagle dogs of both sexes were performed to investigate both acute and subacute toxicity. Beagle dogs(3 males and 3 females) in acute experiments were administered orally with single dosage of 2,000 ㎎/㎏ and groups of 9 male and 9 female beagle dogs in subacute experiments were given daily different dosage of l-muscone, 0.2㎎/㎏/day(low dosage group), 2 ㎎/㎏/day(middle dosage group), or 20 ㎎/㎏day(high dosage group) once a day for 4 weeks by oral route according to the Established Regulation of Korean Food and Drug Administration(1996.4.16). LD_50 value for beagle dogs was more than 2,000 ㎎/㎏ on oral route for both male and females. In animals administered with l-muscone, there were neither dead animals nor significant changes of body weights. In addition, no differences were found between control and treated groups in clinical signs, urinalysis, eye examination, hematology, serum chemistry, organ weight and other findings. No histolopathological lesions were observed in both control and treatment groups. Above data strongly suggest that l-muscone in beagle dogs is considered to be safe.

      • 초음파를 이용한 시효재의 기계적 성질 변화에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate the applicability of the ultrasonic technique to the material degradation evaluation and to suggest the correlationship between the ultrasonic characteristics and material degradation. The small punch test using miniaturized small specimen(10×10×0.5^tmm) is adopted for the degradation evaluation of aged material which have similar microstructure like to degraded Cr-Mo steel in service condition. From the test results, it could be known that the ultrasonic attenuation coeffcient(α) characteristics increased according as the material degradation(ΔDBTT_sp)increased. Finally, it can be suggested that the ultrasonic technique using attenuation property is a useful test method to evaluate the degree of material degradation.

      • 약제흡입에 의한 목재의 건조균열방지에 관한 연구

        This paper describes the new treatment method for crack-prevention of wood during drying by means of vacuum suction technique. The polyethylene glycogens(PEG) adopted for crack-prevention are PEG ― 1540, PEG ― 2000, PEG ― 4000 and PEG ― 10000 and the decompression levels by the vacuum pump are 85kPa and 39kPa. It is observed that the suction of PEG solution is impartially accomplished through the entire radial section by the vacuum suction treatment. As the molecular weight of PEG is increased, the suction quantity per unit time and the difference of moisture content(M.C) between before suction treatment and after, △M.C are decreased with a point of inflection at PEG ― 2000. And it can be found that for drying crack-prevention the optimum condition of PEG suction treatment is PEG ― 2000(wt. 30% ) at 85kPa.

        This study was conducted to investigate the pasting properties of waxy corn ‘Ilmichal’ during ripening with different sowing date. Starch content of Ilmichal was increased as matured (p<0.05). Analysis of pasting properties with waxy corn starch using a rapid visco analyser (RVA) showed linear changes in peak viscosity, trough viscosity, final viscosity, breakdown and consistency according to ripening. There were significantly positive correlation between starch content of Ilmichal and peak viscosity (0.39*), trough viscosity (0.58***), final viscosity (0.58***), and consistency (0.57**). Differential scanning calorimerty (DSC). The enthalpy of gelatinization was increased as ripening. But onset and peak temperature were decreased. There were significantly positive correlation between starch content of Ilmichal and onset temperature (0.44*), peak temperature (0.38*), and completion temperature (0.59***), on the other hand, crude protein content presented significantly negative correlation between completion temperature (-0.41*).

        This study is to research egg history, and characteries of an egg, and observed the emulsified process of eggs. There is no record when the human beings began to eat eggs. However, the period could be estimated since they domesticated the hens about 1900 B. C. An egg which weighs only 40 to 70g consists of egg shell, shell membrane, albumen, and yolk. Naturally, it consists of protein, fat, mostly. With its characteristics of emulsification in the yolk, it can be processed to mayonnaise, Hollandaise and Bearnaise sauces. And could be used as a remedy of a disease by way of everyday dietary program. Auguste Escoffier is called king chef in France who made 143 kinds of culinary egg dishes. Chefs are to be obliged to research hard for culinary art and technology for global people and hungry persons.

        치과용 자성 어태치먼트 재료의 안정성 개선에 관한 연구 : II.질화티타늄 코팅이 치과용 자성재의 내식성에 미치는 영향 Ⅱ.Effect of TiN Coating on Corrosion Resistance of Dental Magnetic Materials

        Dental magnetic materials have been applied to removable prosthetic appliances, maxillofacial prostheses, obturator and dental implant but they still have some problems such as low corrosion resistance in oral environments. To increase the corrosion resistance of dental magnetic materials, surfaces of Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B based magnetic materials were plated with TiN and then electrochemical corrosion test were performed in 4 kinds of electrolyte solutions(0.9% NaCl. 1% lactic acid, 0.05% HCl and modified Fusayama's artificial saliva). From this study, corrosion behavior, amount of elements released, mean average surface roughness values and the changing of mean surface microhardness values were measured comparing with control group of non-sputtered plating magnetic materials. The results were as follows: 1. TiN layer coated on magnet grows into preferred direction with lamellar structure and its thickness is 3.0㎛. 2. Sm-Co base magnetic materials coated with TiN have good corrosion resistance in 1% lactic acid and their pitting corrosion can not be seen. 3. Nd-Fe-B base magnetic materials coated with TiN showed good tendency of corrosion resistance in 0.05% HCl solution. 4. The amount of elements released from both Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B base magnetic materials coated with TiN were more significantly decreased than that of uncoated magnetic materials. 5. The mean surface roughness values of both Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B base magnetic materials coated with TiN were smooth than that of uncoated magnetic materials after corrosion test. 6. The decreasing rate of microhardness of both Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B base magnetic materials coated with TiN were lower than that of uncoated magnetic materials after corrosion test. 7. Dental magnetic materials coated with TiN produced various corrosion products such as TiO, TiO₂, Ti₂O₃on the surface and resulted in better corrosion resistance than uncoated magnetic materials. In conclusion, it is considered that the corrosion problem of dental magnetic materials could be solved to some extent by EB-PVD with TiN on the surface of dental magnetic materials.
