The Effects of Job Insecurity Perceived by the Younger Generation on Psychological Well-Being and Life Satisfaction in the COVID Era

        정효선,윤혜현 (사)한국조리학회 2023 한국조리학회지 Vol.29 No.3

This study examined the negative effects of job insecurity perceived by the younger generation in the unexpected environment of a pandemic by comparing them with the older generation. Based on total 581 persons obtained from the empirical research. The hypotheses were identified through structural equation modeling. The study showed a significant negative effect of perceived job insecurity on psychological well-being and life satisfaction. This result is consistent with previous studies that reported that the perception of instability or insecurity about employment status reduces an individual’s emotion/sentiment and life satisfaction. Moreover, life satisfaction was found to significantly increase when psychological well-being increased and that the negative effect of perceived job insecurity on psychological well-being was stronger among the younger generation. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Hypothesis 1, which hypothesized a positive relationship between supervisors’ ethical leadership and job crafting was supported (β=.429), and Hypothesis 2 which hypothesized supervisors’ ethical leadership had significant positive effects on job engagement (β=.148) were verified. Also, employees' job crafting (β=.129) and job engagement (β=.672) showed a significant impact on employees’ innovative behavior(Hypothesis 3 and 4). 정효선,윤혜현 韓國食生活文化學會 2012 韓國食生活文化學會誌 Vol.27 No.1

The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of instant noodle's selection attribution on satisfaction and to empirically analyze whether or not grade (elementary schoolchildren, middle school students, high school students) plays a moderating role in the relationship between selection attribution and satisfaction. Further, this study examined the differences in demographic characteristics among two groups of subjects divided by instant noodle's selection attribution. Based on a total of 1021 samples, this study verified a total of 3 hypotheses using the SPSS program. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, chi-square, t-test, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results of the study were as follows. There were three different instant noodle's selection attributions among the children and adolescents investigated: internal element, external element, and company reliability. The multiple regression results show that internal element (=.391), external element (=.239), and company reliability (=.063) among customers' selection attributions had significant positive effects on satisfaction. In addition, the effect of selection attribution upon satisfaction was partially moderated according to grade. Further, cluster analysis divided subjects into two groups according to instant noodle's selection attribution: high-selection group vs. low-selection group. The wo groups of subjects classified by instant noodle's selection attribution were also different from each other in demographic characteristics.
