        As a follow-up study of the study conducted by Jang Hye-Rim(2016), As for dance Satisfaction Testing Instrument, First, results show that questions two questions of validity based on the contents of test are considered inappropriate. Second, validity evidence based on the reality turned out to be appropriate. Third, this study confirmed that validity based on the internal structure has a sufficient condition. Fourth, as for the validity based on the generalization, this study also confirmed through analysis of differential function that there are questions functioning differentially according to the gender and grade

      • Effect of Double Hole Injection Layer on an All-Solution-Processed Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode Device

        <P>Hole injection was controlled using a double hole injection layer to improve the electro-optical properties in all solution-processed quantum dots light emitting diodes (QD-LEDs). Compared to the non-MoO3 QD-LED device, the MoO3-inserted double HIL QD-LED showed improved electroluminescence with a low operating voltage. The synthesis temperature of the quantum dots affected the full-width-at-half-maximum of the spectra. The thicknesses of the solution-processed hole transport and electron transport layers in the device were also optimized. The QD-LED with the ITO/PEDOT: PSS/MoO3/PVK/(CdSe/CdS/ZnS) QD/TiO2/Al structure exhibited a maximum luminescence of 6300 cd/m(2) at an operating voltage of 4.0 V, presenting deep red color coordinates of (0.670, 0.328).</P>

        Culture, which was recognized as a luxury item of some classes in the past, has become an important factor for improving the quality of life and pursuing mental and physical happiness due to economic development, changes in social awareness, and expansion of leisure necessity. Recently, the Culture and Arts Center is trying to escape the perception that it is a space that is difficult to access easily. In order to put peoples various desires for culture in one space and to be reborn as a space where anyone can experience culture in everyday life regardless of region, class, and age, it is promoting the combination with facilities with various functions. the purpose of this study is to provide basic data for future complex culture and arts center planning by studying the cases of complex culture and arts center.

      • Lysine 313 of T-box Is Crucial for Modulation of Protein Stability, DNA Binding, and Threonine Phosphorylation of T-bet

        <P>A T-box–containing protein expressed in T cells (T-bet) is a key transcription factor involved in the regulation of Th cell differentiation. Although T-bet–deficient CD4<SUP>+</SUP> T cells fail to produce IFN-γ and typically differentiate into Th2 cells in vitro, ectopic overexpression of T-bet elevates IFN-γ and suppresses production of IL-2 and Th2 cytokines through different mechanisms. Despite the importance of the T-bet protein level, the regulatory mechanisms that control T-bet protein stability are largely unknown. In this study, we found that T-bet underwent proteasomal degradation via ubiquitination at Lys-313. Despite its robust accumulation following lysine mutation, T-bet<SUP>K313R</SUP> failed to increase IFN-γ production because of diminished DNA binding activity, as demonstrated in the crystal structure of T-bet–DNA complex. Strikingly, T-bet<SUP>K313R</SUP> entirely lost the ability to suppress IL-2 production and Th2 cell development; this was due to loss of its interaction with NFAT1. We further identified that the T-bet<SUP>K313R</SUP> reduced the phosphorylation of T-bet at Thr-302, and that threonine phosphorylation was essential for T-bet interaction with NFAT1 and suppression of NFAT1 activity. Retroviral transduction of T-bet<SUP>T302A</SUP> into T-bet–deficient cells restored IFN-γ levels compared with those induced by wild-type T-bet, but this mutant failed to inhibit IL-2 and Th2 cytokine production. Collectively, these data show that Lys-313 in the T-box domain is essential for controlling T-bet protein stability via ubiquitin-dependent degradation, T-bet binding to the IFN-γ promoter, and for the interaction with and suppression of NFAT1. Thus, multiple posttranslational modifications of T-bet are involved in fine-tuning cytokine production during Th cell development.</P>

        Co-occurrence of apocrine adenocarcinoma and invasive mammary-type ductal carcinoma in extramammary Paget disease of the axilla

        Extramammary Paget disease (EMPD) is an uncommon malignancy that occurs in apocrine gland-rich areas of the body. EMPD of the axilla is rare, but a few cases have been reported. Some cases of EMPD have been reported with underlying apocrine adenocarcinoma; rarely, mammary-type ductal carcinoma can accompany EMPD. Here, we report a very rare case of EMPD with apocrine adenocarcinoma and invasive mammary-type ductal carcinoma. A 55-year-old woman was referred with a brownish pigmented plaque accompanying an area of ulceration in the left axilla. A preoperative biopsy indicated Paget disease, and an additional evaluation was performed to determine whether it was of primary or secondary origin. A wide excision was made, and the axilla was reconstructed using a thoracodorsal artery perforator flap. The biopsy showed apocrine adenocarcinoma and invasive mammary-type ductal carcinoma with pagetoid spreading. The patient had no evidence of recurrence or other postoperative complications.

        Understanding of Antipsychotics in Elderly Patients with Dementia

        Elderly patients affected with dementia frequently accompany delusions, hallucinations and other psychotic symptoms. As such, these patients are commonly prescribed antipsychotic medications for the treatment of psychosis. However, in recent years, the use of antipsychotics has been widely debated for reasons concerning their efficacy and safety in these patients. Conventional antipsychotics have been widely used for behavioral psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD) in the past. Atypical antipsychotics showed an efficacy superior to placebo in randomized studies in BPSD treatment, with a better tolerability profile versus conventional drugs. However, in 2002, the Food and Drug Administration alert the possible increase in cerebrovascular adverse events after using antipsychotics and consequent studies reported various adverse (including fatalities) events. Notwithstanding controversial data, antipsychotics are probably the best option for short-term treatment of severe BPSD. However, due to possible serious adverse events, long-term therapy is not recommended and clinician should decrease the dosage and discontinue treatment wherever a sufficient control of behavioral symptoms has been obtained. Before prescribing an antipsychotic drug, the possible risk factor should be structurally reviewed and monitored. The aim of this review is to asses systematically the efficacy and safety concern of antipsychotics in treating elderly patients with BPSD. And we also review how and what we should prescribe and monitor, if once antipsychotic medication is decided.

        고학력 사무직 남성을 대상으로 한 반복적인 영양교육이 만성질환 예방에 미치는 효과와 DQI-1를 이용한 식사의 질 평가

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 3-month nutrition education (First Time Intervention, FI) + additional 3-month nutrition education (Repeated Intervention, RI) which was performed after the 8-month followup. FI was conducted during 0-3 months and RI for 11-14 months. Ninety-two subjects completed FI program, and 38 out of 92 subjects who received FI finished the RI. Anthropometric data, dietary assessment (24hr recall) and fasting blood analysis were measured at 0 month, 3 months, 11 months and 14 months time points. After FI (3 mo), waist circumference, triglycerides, total cholesterol were significantly decreased. At 11 month follow-up, body weight, BMI, hip circumference, SBP, DBP were significantly rebounced and HDL cholesterol was significantly decreased. Therefore, the effect of short-term nutrition education was not being sustained. After the secondary nutrition intervention (14 mo), waist circumference and hip circumference were again significantly decreased. Total diet quality index-international (DQI-I) score was significantly increased in both FI group and RI group. The changes in DQI-I scores were significantly correlated with the changes in body weight (r = -0.129, p < 0.05) and counts of nutrition education (r = 0.159, p < 0.05), indicating that effective nutrition education helps improve the diet quality leading to a possible role in CVD prevention among male workers. Although a short-term intervention seems to be a success, the effect was not retained in this study. Therefore, we suggest incorporating nutrition education as a routine program for male worker at worksite. (Korean J Community Nutr 15(5): 614~624, 2010)

        일부 성인의 계속구강관리프로그램 인식과 요구도

        본 연구는 구강보건교육에 대한 경험, 계속구강건강관리프로그램 필요성과 참여 의향을 알아보기 위해 2016년 6월1일부터 8월 3일까지 대전광역시에서 거주하며 치과에서 1회이상 진료를 받은 경험이 있는 만 19세 이상 성인 중 303명을 편의추출하여 설문조사하였다. 그 결과, 3회 이상 이를 닦는 대상자는 72.6%였으며 구강보조용품을 사용하는 대상자는 55.8%였고 칫솔질 시간이 2분 이상인 대상자는 55.8%였다. 치면착색제 경험은 1일 칫솔질 횟수에 영향을 미쳤으며 치면착색제 경험, 칫솔질 교육, 구강보조용품 사용 교육, 치주질환 예방 교육은 구강보조용품 사용과 1회 칫솔질 시간에 영향을 미쳤다. 계속구강건강관리 프로그램이 필요하다고 생각하는 대상자는 93.1%였으며 계속구강건강관리프로그램 참여의향은 68.0%였다. 계속구강건강관리 프로그램 1회 참여비용은 1만원 이상 2만원 미만이 70.3%로 가장 많았으며 관리주기는 6개월이 42.6%로 가장 많았다. 계속구강건강관리 프로그램 요구도는 구강세균검사 74.3%, 칫솔질 교육 71.6%, 구취검사 69.3%, 구강보조용품 교육 46.9%, 치면세균막검사 42.9%, 타액검사 37.6% 순이었다. 계속구강건강관리 프로그램 필요성 인지에 영향을 미치는 요인은 고졸 이하에 비해 대졸 이상 4.514배, 구강보조용품을 사용하지 않은 군에 비해 사용하는 군이 2.878배, 칫솔질 시간이 2분 미만군에 비해 2분 이상군이 3.138배 필요성 인지가 높았다. 계속구강건강관리 프로그램 참여 의향에 영향을 미치는 요인은 치주질환 예방 교육 경험이 없는 군에 비해 예방교육 경험이 있는 군이 1.915배 높았으며 구강보조용품 사용을 하지 않는 군에 비해 사용하는 군이 2.065배 높았다. 따라서, 치과에 내원하는 환자에게 지속적으로 구강보건교육을 하는 것이 계속구강건강관리 프로그램에 참여율을 높일 수 있다고 생각되었다. 또한, 구강세균검사나 구취검사 등이 성인 계속구강건강관리 프로그램에 포함되는 것이 추천되며 계속구강건강관리 프로그램이 본인이 부담할 수 있는 적정 비용 수준으로 보험 급여화될 수 있도록 제안해야 한다. Dental caries and periodontal disease are considered to be chronic, but can be prevented through an incremental oral health program covering all ages. The National Oral Health Program for adults provides oral health exam and scaling, and is covered by national health insurance for those over 20 years of age in Korea. The aim of this study was to collect basic data for developing an oral health program for adults by identifying factors related to awareness and need. The data were obtained by convenience sampling of 303 subjects. The use of dental plaque disclosing agents affected tooth brushing frequency, toothbrushing time and use of oral auxiliary devices. Education on toothbrushing methods affected toothbrushing time and use of oral auxiliary devices. Of those surveyed, 93.1% replied that an incremental oral health program for adults was needed, and 68.0% intended to participate. In a regression model, the factors that had an effect on the perceived need for an oral health program were education level, use of oral hygiene auxiliary devices, and toothbrushing time, and the factors affecting intent to participate were education for prevention of periodontal disease and the use of oral hygiene auxiliary devices. The subjects stated that the following oral health programs were needed: an oral bacteria exam (74.3%), toothbrushing education (71.6%), a bad breath exam (69.3%), education on use of oral hygiene auxiliary devices (46.9%), a dental plaque exam (42.9%) and a saliva exam (37.6%). Oral health education appears to be an important factor for participation in an incremental oral health program.

        Elevated RalA activity in the hippocampus of PI3Kγ knock-out mice lacking NMDAR-dependent long-term depression

        Phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3Ks) play key roles in synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions in the brain. We recently found that genetic deletion of PI3Kγ, the only known member of class IB PI3Ks, results in impaired N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor-dependent long-term depression (NMDAR-LTD) in the hippocampus. The activity of RalA, a small GTP-binding protein, increases following NMDAR-LTD inducing stimuli, and this increase in RalA activity is essential for inducing NMDAR-LTD. We found that RalA activity increased significantly in PI3Kγ knockout mice. Furthermore, NMDAR-LTDinducing stimuli did not increase RalA activity in PI3Kγ knockout mice. These results suggest that constitutively increased RalA activity occludes further increases in RalA activity during induction of LTD, causing impaired NMDARLTD. We propose that PI3Kγ regulates the activity of RalA, which is one of the molecular mechanisms inducing NMDARdependent LTD. [BMB Reports 2013; 46(2): 103-106].

      • Integrated mRNA and microRNA Transcriptome Profiling in 3D Mucociliary Tissue Model (EpiAirway FT) after Exposure of PM2.5

        Background Inhaled PM2.5 could induce adverse health effects in respiratory systems, but the underlying mechanisms are not well defined. We aim to explore the intrinsic mechanisms and new therapeutic targets regulating the PM2.5- exposed pathological conditions. Methods We performed a transciptomic analysis of cells isolated from PM2.5 (NIST 1650b) exposed 3D mucociliary tissues model (EpiAirway FT), in order to identify PM2.5-dependent mRNA and miRNA expression changes. Results A number of genes, miRNAs, biological process, KEGG pathways were identified during PM2.5 exposure in 3D mucociliary tissues. Compared with control DMSO group, we identified 779 upregulated or downregulated genes in PM2.5 exposed 3D EpiAirway groups. The top functions impacted by these gene expression changes included regulation of epithelial cilium movement, cilium-dependent cell motility and cilia structure. With respect to miRNA changes, we found that 23 targets were significantly changed and particularly identified 6 targets associated cilium. Using paired mRNA/miRNA-sequencing data, we found that targets gene and miRNAs can affect abnormal cilia motility. Conclusions This study suggests that PM2.5-induce changes in gene/miRNA expression may contribute to mucociliary clearance dysfunction via defects in cilia structure and function. And these changed target gene and miRNAs may contribute to the adverse respiratory effect of air pollution exposure (This work was supported by the Research Program funded by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (2020-NI-099-02)).
