One hundred fifty four cases of branchial anomaly treated from January 1987 to July 1993 were analysed to determine clinical features, embryologic and anatomic types of the branchial cleft anomaly, to investigate the differences between adults and pediatrics, and to establish the appropriate treatment plan. The male to female ratio was not signifiacntly different in pediatric and adult patients. The mean symptom duration was 0.5 years(range 0.08-14 years) in pediatric patients and 1.67 years (0.7-7 years) in adult patients. The clinical presentations of these anomalies were lateral neck mass in 112(72.7%), infected discharge in 22(14.3%), non-infected discharge in 6(3.9%), and abscess in 14 cases(9.l%). Sites of the lesions were upper third of the neck in 93(60.3%), infraauricular in 35(22.7%), middle third of the neck in 17(11.0%) and inferior third of the neck in 9 cases(5.8%). The anatomic types were cystic form in 117(75.9%), sinus in 24(15.5%), and fistula in 13 cases(8.4%). Embryologic classification were 124 second branchial cleft anomalies(80.5%), 29 first branchial cleft anomalies(18.8%), and 1 third branchial cleft anomaly(0.6%). Immediate surgery under the uncontrolled infection in 17 cases result in 82.4% recurrent rate(14 cases), and 17.6% cure rate(3 cases). Delayed surgery under the controlled infection in 8 cases recurrent rate(1 case), and 87.5% cure rate(7 cases). In summary, the most common branchial cleft anomaly is second type cyst both in pediatric and adult group, delayed surgical exterpation after infection control with I & D or antibiotics may give a good chance for care and may reduce the recurrence.
무도 전방낙법 동작 시 충격력 감소 요인의 운동역학적 분석

The purpose of this study was to provide basic quantitative data to minimize the impact occurring during forward breakfall by the comparative analysis of kinetic factors through 3D motion analysis and analysis of GRF of the forward breakfall of the martialarts targeting 10 skilled and 10 unskilled subjects. The following are the findings. First, the total time taken for forward breakfall of the martial arts showed 1.53±0.04 s for skilled, and 1.41±0.06 s for unskilled subjects. Second, forward breakfall of the martial arts operation showed significant left and right position of center of mass in P2, P3, and P4. In addition, the unskilled subjects showed larger forward and rearward position in P1, P2, P3, and P4, while the skilled subjects showed larger vertical position in P2. And the unskilled subjects showed faster forward and rear movement of center of mass in P2, P3, and P4, respectively. And unskilled subjects showed faster vertical velocity of center of mass in P2 and P3. Third, as for the upper extremity joint angle during forward breakfall, skilled subjects showed larger right shoulder joint angle in P4, and unskilled subjects showed larger left shoulder joint angle in P2 and P3. Unskilled subjects showed greater elbow joint angle both right and left side in P1 and P3, and skilled subjects demonstrated larger wrist joint angle both right and left side in P1. Fourth, the forward breakfall of the martial arts did not show any difference between left and right side in the GRF, but unskilled subjects proved a significantly greater forward and backward GRF in the secondary point of impact(E3) both right and left sides. The skilled subjects showed a significantly greater vertical GRF in the primary point of impact (E2), and unskilled subjects showed a larger vertical reaction force in the secondary point of impact (E3), respectively.
평판형 증발부와 폴리프로필렌 윅을 가지는 루프히트파이프의 과열제거에 대한 실험적 연구

루프히트파이프는 특별하게 시동하는 동안 증발부 벽 온도에 대한 과열 문제를 종종 겪는다. 평판형 증발부와 폴리프로필렌윅을 가지는 루프히트파이프의 과열문제를 해결하기 위해 증발부와 액체저장조 사이에 바이패스라인이 설치되었다. 증발부와 응축부는 40 mm (W) × 50 mm (L)의 크기를 가진다. 벽과 튜브 재료는 스테인리스 스틸이며 작동유체는 메탄올이다. 평판형 증발부에 역사다리꼴 형상의 그루브를 통하여 증가가 공급되었다. 액체 및 증기 이송관의 내부직경은 각각 2 mm와 4 mm이며, 두 라인의 길이는 각 0.5 m이다. 열부하 범위는 응축부 냉각원 온도, 10˚C를 가지는 수평기울기에 대하여 최대 90 W까지이다. 실험결과를 통하여 바이패스라인은 증발부 벽 온도에 대한 과열문제를 제거하는 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Syntactic pattern recognition is concerned with the application of formal language and automata theory to the modeling and description of structural relationship in pattern classes. In this paper, the recognition of Korean characters is tried with the tree grammar method in various approach of syntactic pattern recognition. A microcomputer, a digisector, and a C.C. TV camera were used as instruments for simulation. The most significant factor that improved recognition-success-ratio was illumination.
태권도 뒤후려차기 동작시 우수선수와 비우수선수의 운동학적 비교 분석

The purpose of this study is to analyze different kinematics between skilled and less skilled players by analysing with 3D images of dwihuryeochagi gesture in Taekwondo competition between skilled and less skilled players to suggest quantify dwihuryeochagi gesture for improvement on competition and injury prevention to coach and players. Among the players of Taekwondo competition, 4 skilled players with weight in 68kg and 4 less skilled players with weights in 68kg players dwihuryeochagi gestures and the results of comparison 3D analysis using gesture analyzing system are as follows. The time takes to players dwihuryeochagi was shorter to skilled and less skilled players improves to players quickly after the impacts, Moreover, the core body displacement, in left and right(x), front and rear(y), and vertical(z), was indicated bigger to less skilled players than skilled. Compare to less skilled players, it was shown that skilled players keeps in safe mode by minimizing angles of hip joint and effecting the damage by increasing angles of knees joint. The speed of tiptoe of skilled players was greater than less skilled players before the impact and delines after the impact. This result would lead that skilled players maximize damage power right after the impact and by doing so, speed of tiptoe may declined as the angles of knees joint increases. Thus, minimize hip joint and increase the angles of knees joint would lead to keep safe bood and may maximize the damage powers.
남자 고등부 골프선수의 숙련수준에 따른 롱 아이언 스윙동작의 운동학적 비교분석

The purpose of this study is to analysis the kinematic characteristics of golfers in a high school students when they swing with long-iron. The subjects are eight golfers who go to student golfers. We provided them with the scientific data required for their technical training and the basic data to from the injury. The conclusion of this study are as follows. First, During the operation of long- iron swing, the required time of skilled showed shorter than that of unskilled. It is observed that both groups showed statistically significant difference at P3. Second, For the displacement of CM(center of Mass) to vertical, the skilled moved short in both groups showed statistically significant difference in E2 and the unskilled moved short in both groups showed statistically significant difference in E3, E6 and E7. Third, For the displacement of CM velocity to horizontal, the unskilled showed higher speed than the skilled and both groups showed statistically significant difference in the E2. For the displacement of CM velocity to vertical, the skilled showed higher speed than the unskilled and both groups showed statistically significant difference in the E2, E3 and E6. Fourth, For the joint angle, both groups showed statistically significant difference at both the left shoulder joint, both elbow joint, both wrist joint. For the trunk incline angle, the skilled showed bigger angle than the unskilled. but both groups showed statistically non-significant difference.
