Accurate thrust measurement is very important when developing an engine of propulsion system. Especially for a low thrust liquid rocket engine(LRE), accuracy of thrust is seriously affected by thrust measurement errors and thurst losses which are caused by propellant supply system. In this study, a new thrust measurement system is developed for accurate thrust measurement of a low thurst LRE by minimizing these effects. Its thrust measurement range is 150~1500N and the maximum error is below 10N. Also, a reliability appraisal technique is investigated to improve reliability and accuracy of the thrust measurement system.

정보통신기술이 점차 발전함에 따라 기존의 생산 시스템에 네트워크 및 컴퓨팅 기술을 적용하여 효율적인 생산 환경을 유지하는 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 고전적인 제어 시스템과 달리 이러한 스마트 생산 시스템은 생산 환경에 대한 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하여 통계화하고, 그 변화에 따라 유동적으로 작동할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 기반의 센서를 통해 실시간으로 데이터를 수집하고, 환경 변화에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 계측 시스템을 제시한다. 또한 이를 스마트팜에 적용하여 외부의 환경 변화에 대처하고 효과적인 생산 환경을 유지할 수 있음을 확인하였다. As information and communication technologies develop, many studies are being conducted to maintain an efficient production environment by applying network and computing technologies to existing production systems. Unlike classical control systems, these smart production systems need to collect data about the production environment in real time, and operate fluidly as it changes. In this paper, we present a measurement system that can collect data in real time through network-based sensors and respond effectively to environmental changes. We also proved this smart system can cope with external environmental changes and maintain an effective production environment.

The present research proposes a pressure based approach along with Langmuir slip condition for predicting microscale fluid flows. Using this method, gaseous slip flows in 2 -dimensional microchannels are numerically investigated. Compared to the DSMC simulation, statistical errors could be avoided and computing time is much less than that of the aforementioned molecular approach. Maxwell slip boundary condition is also studied in this research. These two slip conditions give similar results except for the pressure nonlinearity at high Knudsen number regime. However, Langmuir slip condition seems to be more promising because this does not need to calculate the streamwise velocity gradient accurately and to calibrate the empirical accommodation coefficient. The simulation results show that the proposed method using Langmuir slip condition is an effective tool for predicting compressibility and rarefaction in microscale slip flows.

Experimental study has been conducted to clarify the pneumatic characteristics of brake system for freight train and enhance the performance of diaphragm valve. Empty-load and diaphragm valves are installed in pneumatic brake system for freight trains of KNR (Korean National Railroad). Experiments are conducted by using freight train and diesel locomotive in operation. From the experimental results. new quick release valve shortens release time after brake application. In case of normal brake application, the release time is shortened to 34% of the original diaphragm valve. Reducing the release time of pneumatic brake system will be helpful to assure brake-release application and save maintenance efforts like wheel grinding.
