Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived small extracellular vesicles (MSC-sEVs) are known to exert immunosuppressive functions. This study showed that MSC-sEVs specifically convert T helper 17 (Th17) cells into IL-17 low-producer (ex-Th17) cells by degrading RAR-related orphan receptor γt (RORγt) at the protein level. In experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)-induced mice, treatment with MSC-sEVs was found to not only ameliorate clinical symptoms but also to reduce the number of Th17 cells in draining lymph nodes and the central nervous system. MSC-sEVs were found to destabilize RORγt by K63 deubiquitination and deacetylation, which was attributed to the EP300-interacting inhibitor of differentiation 3 (Eid3) contained in the MSC-sEVs. Small extracellular vesicles isolated from the Eid3 knockdown MSCs by Eid3-shRNA failed to downregulate RORγt. Moreover, forced expression of Eid3 by gene transfection was found to significantly decrease the protein level of RORγt in Th17 cells. Altogether, this study reveals the novel immunosuppressive mechanisms of MSC-sEVs, which suggests the feasibility of MSC-sEVs as an attractive therapeutic tool for curing Th17-mediated inflammatory diseases.

정부 3.0의 확산으로 공공 데이터에 대한 활용 요구는 증대하고 있으나 데이터의 품질과 데이터 관리체계가 미흡하여 데이터 개방의 저해 요소로 부각되고 있다. 이는 품질관리 표준체계 가 마련되지 못하여 데이터 관리·연계·활용의 효율성이 떨어지고 품질평가 기준이 적절하지 못한데 기인한다. 본 논문은 공공데이터 품질관리에 대한 성숙도 모델을 제시한다. 먼저 공공데이터 품질관리 프로세스 참조 모델을 제안하였으며 이를 기반으로 데이터 품질관리 수준 평가를 위한 능력 및 성숙도 모델을 작성하였다.

<P>This study proposes a simple method of Au coating on silver nanowires (Ag NWs) transparent conductive films as the anode of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) to increase the work function of the film and thus enhance hole transport. We carefully engineer the process conditions (pretreatment, solution concentrations, and coating number) of the coating using a diluted HAuCl<SUB>4</SUB> solution on the Ag NWs film to minimize etching damage on Ag NWs accompanying the galvanic replacement reaction. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy show work function increase of Ag NWs upon Au coating. OLED devices based on Au-coated Ag NWs show a lower turn-on voltage and higher luminance, compared with pristine Ag NWs device. Although the Ag NWs device displays poor efficiencies in the low luminance range due to a high leakage, some of the Au-coated Ag NWs devices showed efficiencies higher than those of the ITO device in a high luminance.</P>

System requirements (SRs), which describe the technical attributes to be satisfied by a desired system, serve as a fundamental guideline for system development. Standard methods and processes to define SRs are suggested in systems engineering literature. But in practice, we encounter many difficulties in defining and managing SRs since there are few experiences on development of complex systems in accordance with systems engineering processes of development. In this paper, to expanding SRs management experiences in a working-level, we reviewed problems occured in SRs defining process in 'Urban MAGLEV Train Project', and analyzed our activities to adjust and solve the problems.
측지거리변형 영상 분리를 이용한 영상 인식 시스템 성능 향상

본 논문에서는 영상 인식 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 입력영상에서의 인식 대상 영역 분리 기법을 제안한다. 영상 기기, 파일 포맷, 인식 환경 및 상황 등에 의해 입력 영상에 포함되어 있는 불필요한 인식 대상 외의 영역은 영상 인식 시스템의 성능을 저하시키는 가장 큰 요소이다. 이런 불필요한 영역을 분리하기 위한 영상 분리 기법은 속도와 정확도의 양립 불가능한 문제가 있다. 측지거리변형과 모델 기반 에너지 최소화 기법 등을 적용한 효율적인 영상 분리 기법을 제안하고 이를 영상 인식 시스템에 적용하여 성능 향상을 확인한다.

<▼1><P>The ability to respond to environmental temperature variation is essential for survival in animals. Flies show robust temperature-preference behaviour (TPB) to find optimal temperatures. Recently, we have shown that <I>Drosophila</I> mushroom body (MB) functions as a center controlling TPB. However, neuromodulators that control the TPB in MB remain unknown. To identify the functions of dopamine in TPB, we have conducted various genetic studies in <I>Drosophila</I>. Inhibition of dopamine biosynthesis by genetic mutations or treatment with chemical inhibitors caused flies to prefer temperatures colder than normal. We also found that dopaminergic neurons are involved in TPB regulation, as the targeted inactivation of dopaminergic neurons by expression of a potassium channel (Kir2.1) induced flies with the loss of cold avoidance. Consistently, the mutant flies for dopamine receptor gene (DopR) also showed a cold temperature preference, which was rescued by MB–specific expression of DopR. Based on these results, we concluded that dopamine in MB is a key component in the homeostatic temperature control of <I>Drosophila</I>. The current findings will provide important bases to understand the logic of thermosensation and temperature preference decision in <I>Drosophila</I>.</P></▼1><▼2><P><B>Author Summary</B></P><P>Temperature affects almost all aspects of animal development and physiological processes. The dependence of the body temperature of small insects on ambient temperature and other heat sources makes it plausible that neuronal mechanisms for sensing temperature and behavioral responses for maintaining body temperature in a permissive range must exist. By using the fruit fly model system and previously settled paradigms of temperature-preference test, we find that dopamine regulates temperature-preference behaviours. Wild-type flies show a strong temperature preference for 25°C, but inhibition of dopamine biosynthesis by genetic mutations or treatment with chemical inhibitors causes animals to prefer temperatures colder than normal. We also show that dopaminergic neurons are involved in the regulation of temperature-preference behaviours and that dopamine signalling in mushroom body neurons plays a critical role in regulating the behaviours. These results suggest that dopamine is a key component in the homeostatic temperature control of fruit flies.</P></▼2>
매트릭스 기법을 응용한 시스템 인터페이스 관리 방안 연구

It is important to manage internal and external interfaces in a system integration. As there are many of related multi-disciplinary engineers and high level complexity in big and complex project, it is difficult that carrying out interfaces management by consistent method. We study the method that represent efficiently system interfaces by matrix structure. And we suggest the way to identify system interfaces and trace interfaces between components using Interface Analysis Matrix and Interface Control Document.
