ON SOME PROPERTIES OF THE SPACES

Aydin,Gürkanli 장전수학회 2009 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.12 No.2

For 1 ≤ p < ∞, Ap (Rn) denotes the space of all complex-valued functions in L¹ (Rn) whose Fourier transforms [수식] belong to Lp(Rn). A number of authors such as Larsen, Liu and Wang [12], Martin and Yap [14], Lai [11] worked on this space. Some generalizations to the weighted case was given by Gurkanli [7], Feichtinger and Gurkanli [4], Fischer, Gurkanli and Liu [5]. In the present paper we give another generalization of Ap (Rn) to the generalized Lebesgue space Lp(x)(Rn): We de…ne A[수식](x) (Rn) to be the space of all complex-valued functions in L[수식] (Rn) whose Fourier transforms [수식] belong to the generalized Lebesgue space Lp(x)(Rn). We endow it with a sum norm and show that A[수식](x) (Rn) is an Sw(Rn) space [2]. Further we discuss the multipliers of A[수식](x) (Rn).

      • Ghrelin is Present in Teeth

        Aydin, Suleyman,Ozercan, I brahim Hanefi,Geckil, Hikmet,Dagli, Ferda,Aydin, Suna,Kumru, Sinem,Kilic, Nermin,Sahin, I brahim,Ozercan, Mehmet Resat Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 2007 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.40 No.3

Ghrelin belongs to the family of a gut-brain hormone that promotes food intake and controls energy balance. Recently, it has also been shown to regulate bone formation directly. Dental tissue shares several functional, developmental and anatomical similarities with bone, and in the present study we have investigated the presence of ghrelin in 44 human teeth using immunocytochemistry and radioimmunoassay. Both methods showed that the hormone is present in canines and molars, mainly in the odontoblasts but also in the pulp. Ghrelin could potentially play interesting physiological roles in teeth.

      • Determination of antibiotics by SPE-LC-MS/MS in wastewater and risk assessment

        Aydin, Senar,Aydin, Mehmet E.,Ulvi, Arzu,Kilic, Havva Techno-Press 2018 Advances in environmental research Vol.7 No.3

In this study, conditions of solid phase extraction (SPE) for determination of some antibiotics such as trimethoprim, oxytetracycline, erythromycin, clarithromycin, azythromycin, doxycycline, sulfamethazine, ciprofloxacin, chlortetracycline, sulfamethoxazole in wastewaters were optimized. After the optimum volume and pH of the sample were determined, the effect of the concentration of the compounds and matrix were investigated. The highest recovery rates for antibiotic compounds were determined between 82% and 105% in 200 mL sample volume and pH 2.5. Then, antibiotic compounds were investigated in influent and effluent samples taken from Konya Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant. The concentration of the antibiotics was detected range of 0.11-101 ng/L in influent waters and <dl-288 ng/L in effluent samples in wastewater treatment plant. Hazard quotients (HQs) of antibiotic compounds determined in WWTP effluents to evaluate the risk towards different aquatic organisms (algae, Daphnia magna and fish) were determined. Azythromycin for fish and erythromycin, sulfamethoxazole, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin for algae posed a moderate risk while azythromycin, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, oxytetracycline posed a high risk for algae in the receiving environment.

      • Poster Session:PS 0503 ; Nephrology : Reasons of Emergency Department Admission of ESRD Patients : A Retrospective Analysis

        ( Attila Aydin ),( Cemile Aydin ),( Selma Karaahmetogluozkan ),( Zeynep Guven ),( Rukiye Kara ) 대한내과학회 2014 대한내과학회 추계학술발표논문집 Vol.2014 No.1

Background: End stage renal failure is an increasing clinical problem. That is why we should prevent it and capture patients in earlier stages in order to stop their progression. We should determine the causes of hospitalization and acute complications. Methods: The patients who were hospitalized for End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) between March 2009-2011 patients were studied. We studied the causes of hospitalization in concern with established parameters. The datas were analyzed in SPSS program. Results: The total number of patients were 98 including 50 men and 48 women. The ages of patients were between 27-93. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) duration was 2-240 months, the dialysis duration was 0.5-240 months. The most common cause of emergency department admission was infection 39 (%39.8). The Patients admitted with an infection were taken dialysis treatment longer than other patients (p=0.034) and they had a higher initial hemoglobin level (p=0.002) and were hospitalized longer than the other patients (p=0.047). The most common type of infection was pneumonia (%43.6). The most common cause of mortality was sepsis with %40 and pneumonia with %20. There was no statistically difference in terms of albumin level between patients with infection and the others. Although in the exitus group albumin was statically lower than the survivors (p<0.05). Conclusions: The most common cause of ESRD was infection. The most common cause of mortality was also infection; sepsis and pneumonia. We determined that a low albumin level was a bad prognostic factor.

UWB Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna Design in Matching Liquid and Evaluating the Classification Accuracy in Data Mining Using Random Forest Algorithm for Breast Cancer Detection with Microwave

Emine Avşar Aydin,Emine Avşar Aydin 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.5

The most common type of cancer for a female is breast cancer in the world. Regular checks and effective-timely treatment are noteworthy parameters for patients’ survival struggle . Against existing imaging methods, microwave imaging method has been considered more powerful and effective method by many researchers. In this paper, comprehensive design equations and parameters of rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) are given for microwave breast cancer detection. The layered breast model with a spherical tumor that was placed into the fibro-glandular layer was created by using CST Microwave Studio Software, and it was embedded in canola oil to decrease the distorted signals between the transmitting and receiving antennas. The RMPA has a wideband performance from 3 to 18 GHz. The simulation results show that differences in the electric field and reflection coefficients might more efficiently give a possibility to assign the tumor in the breast model. In addition, in this study, the data obtained from these experiments are classified by using the random forest algorithm from the data mining methods. According to the classification result, the random forest algorithm can diagnose breast cancer by classifying the tumor as 94% accuracy.

Antihypertensive Role of Glossopharyngeal Nerve Stimulation by Nifedipine Using as Calcium Channel Blocking Agent in Hypertension: An Experimental Study

        Mehmet Dumlu Aydin,Ednan Bayram,Zekai Halici,Nazan Aydin,Canan Atalay,Hlzlr Ulvi,Dilcan Kotan,Cemal Gundogdu 대한약학회 2009 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.32 No.11

Nifedipine is a therapeutic drug in acute attacks of hypertension because of its rapid absorption from oral mucosa. Taste receptors are innervated by glossopharyngeal nerves (GPN) as well as by facial and vagal nerves. Sensory neurons of the GPNs are localised in the petrous ganglion (PG). Transection of the taste sensitive GPN fibres causes taste bud and PG degeneration and spontaneous hypertension. In this study, the role of chemical stimulation of the taste buds of the GPN by nifedipine and its role in treatment of hypertension were investigated in rabbits. Nifedipine was dropped sublingually (20 mg) for 4 days in the study group, followed by measuring blood pressures again. Then, the lingual branches of GPNs were cut. One month later, blood pressures were measured for 4 days. All animals were sacrificed humanely at the end of the experiment, and normal and degenerated neuron densities in the petrosal ganglions were enumerated stereologically. The antihypertensive effect of nifedipine decreased after GPNs denervation, in accordance with the increase of degenerated neurons in the PG. The chemical stimulation of taste buds of the GPNs by nifedipine may be an important effect of nifedipine application in addition to its calcium channel blocking effect. The rapid decrease in blood pressure following sublingual use of nifedipine may also result from the direct stimulation of taste buds innervated by the GPNs.

Alternative robust estimation methods for parameters of Gumbel distribution: an application to wind speed data with outliers

Aydin, Demet Techno-Press 2018 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.26 No.6

An accurate determination of wind speed distribution is the basis for an evaluation of the wind energy potential required to design a wind turbine, so it is important to estimate unknown parameters of wind speed distribution. In this paper, Gumbel distribution is used in modelling wind speed data, and alternative robust estimation methods to estimate its parameters are considered. The methodologies used to obtain the estimators of the parameters are least absolute deviation, weighted least absolute deviation, median/MAD and least median of squares. The performances of the estimators are compared with traditional estimation methods (i.e., maximum likelihood and least squares) according to bias, mean square deviation and total mean square deviation criteria using a Monte-Carlo simulation study for the data with and without outliers. The simulation results show that least median of squares and median/MAD estimators are more efficient than others for data with outliers in many cases. However, median/MAD estimator is not consistent for location parameter of Gumbel distribution in all cases. In real data application, it is firstly demonstrated that Gumbel distribution fits the daily mean wind speed data well and is also better one to model the data than Weibull distribution with respect to the root mean square error and coefficient of determination criteria. Next, the wind data modified by outliers is analysed to show the performance of the proposed estimators by using numerical and graphical methods.

      • Investigation of the durability performance of FRP bars in different environmental conditions

        Aydin, Ferhat,Arslan, Seymanur Techno-Press 2021 Advances in concrete construction Vol.12 No.4

In recent years, Fibers Reinforced Polymer (FRP) bars with high tensile strength and lightness have been developed as an alternative to steel bars and it is important to know the durability performance of these bars against environmental effects. In this study, experimental studies were conducted to evaluate the durability performance of FRP bars produced with various fibers. Five environmental conditions representing humidity, sea water, hot air, cold air and concrete pore water to which the bars may be exposed were created and aramid, glass and carbon fiber FRP bars were exposed to these environments. After conditioning, the water absorption, mass loss and tensile strength of the samples were determined. At the end of the study, it was determined that Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars were greatly affected by the presence of water, Aramid Fiber Reinforced Polymer (AFRP) bars were sensitive to high temperatures, and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) bars showed good performance in all environmental conditions.

Biomechanical Properties of the Cranial Dura Mater with Puncture Defects : An In Vitro Study

        Aydin, Hasan Emre,Kizmazoglu, Ceren,Kaya, Ismail,Husemoglu, Bugra,Sozer, Gulden,Havitcioglu, Hasan,Arslantas, Ali The Korean Neurosurgical Society 2019 Journal of Korean neurosurgical society Vol.62 No.4

Objective : The primary aim of this investigation was to explore the nature of dura mater biomechanics following the introduction of puncture defect(s). Methods : Twenty-eight dura mater specimens were collected during autopsy from the department of forensic medicine of the authors' institution. Specimens were divided randomly into one of four groups : group I (cranial dura mater; n=7), group II (cranial dura mater with one puncture defect; n=7); group III (cranial dura mater with two puncture defects; n=7), and group IV (cranial dura mater with three puncture defects; n=7). Results : The mean${\pm}$standard deviation tensile strengths of the dura mater were $8.35{\pm}3.16$, $8.22{\pm}3.32$, $7.13{\pm}1.77$, and $6.94{\pm}1.93MPa$ for groups I, II, III, and IV, respectively. There was no statistical difference between all groups. A single, two or more punctures of the dura mater using a 20-gauge Quincke needle did not affect cranial dura tensile strength. Conclusion : This biomechanical study may contribute to the future development of artificial dura mater substitutes and medical needles that have a lower negative impact on the biomechanical properties of dura mater.
