According to this cover we introduce and study another type of compactness in L-fuzzy topology so-called C<SUP>*</SUP>-compact and study some of its properties with some interrelation.

        Effective Broadcasting and Caching Technique for Video on Demand over Wireless Network

        Video on Demand (VOD) is a multimedia service which allows a remote user to select and then view video at his convenience at any time he wants, which makes the VOD become an important technology for many applications. Numerous periodic VOD broadcasting protocols have been proposed to support a large number of receivers. Broadcasting is an efficient transmission scheme to provide on-demand service for very popular movies. This paper proposes a new broadcasting scheme called Popularity Cushion Staggered Broadcasting (PCSB). The proposed scheme improves the Periodic Broadcasting (PB) protocols in the latest mobile VOD system, which is called MobiVoD system. It also, reduces the maximum waiting time of the mobile node, by partitioning the 1st segment of the whole video and storing it in the Local Media Forwarder (LMF) exactly in the Pool of RAM (PoR), and then transmitting them when the mobile nodes miss the 1st broadcasted segment. The results show that the PCSB is more efficient and better than the all types of broadcasting and caching techniques in the MobiVoD system. Furthermore, these results exhibits that system performance is stable under high dynamics of the system and the viewer`s waiting time are less than the previous system.

        Synthesis and Analysis of the Impact of Partial Mercury Replacement with Lead on the Structural and Electrical Properties of the Hg1-xPbxBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ Superconductor

        In this investigation, samples of the chemical (Hg1-xPbxBa2Ca1.8Mg0.2Cu3O8+δ) were prepared utilizing a solid-state reaction technique with a range of lead concentrations (x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20). Specimens were pressed at 8 tons per square centimeter and then prepared at 1,138 K in the furnace. The crystalline structure and surface topography of all samples were examined using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). X-ray diffraction results showed that all of the prepared samples had a tetragonal crystal structure. Also, the results showed that when lead was partially replaced with mercury, an increase in the lead value impacted the phase ratio, and lattice parameter values. The AFM results likewise showed excellent crystalline consistency and remarkable homogeneity during processing. The electrical resistivity was calculated as a function of temperature, and the results showed that all samples had a contagious behavior, as the resistivity decreased with decreasing temperature. The critical temperature was calculated and found to change, from 102, 96, 107, and 119 K, when increasing the lead values in the samples from 0.0 to 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20, respectively.

        Characterization and UV Protection of Cotton and Cotton/Polyester Blend Fabrics Coated With PVA/PLST/ZnO NPs Nanocomposites Under the Effect of Gamma Irradiation

        The main objective of this work is to impart UV protection properties to cotton and cotton/polyester fabrics and enhance the original chemical and physical properties. In this procedure, the fabrics were coated with nanocomposites based on poly(vinyl alcohol)/plasticized starch (PVA/PLST (80/20%)/Zn NPs. The coated fabrics were then exposed to gamma radiation to induce cross-linked layer structure covering the fibers of the fabrics. The formation of Zn NPs was confirmed by UV/Vis and XRD analysis. In addition, the coated fabrics were characterized by the measurements of water absorption, crease recovery, thermal stability, surface morphology and tensile mechanical measurements. The UV protection of the coated fabrics was determined. The results indicated that the coated fabrics showed highly reducing UV-A, UV-B and ultraviolet protection factor (UPF), particularly with increasing irradiation dose, regardless of fabric kind. It was found that cotton and cotton/PET fabrics treated with PVA/PLST/Zn NPs nanocomposites irradiated to a dose of 30 kGy displayed UPF excellent rating values of 44.31 and 58.23, respectively.

        A Content Analysis of Korean and Egyptian Websites in the Regard of Online Advertising

        이집트 및 한국 웹사이트 홈페이지 100개에 대한 내용분석을 하였다. 코더들은 문화와 기술의 영향에 근거하여 분석 유목에 따라 웹사이트를 분석했다, 그들은 모든 웹사이트에 나타난 온라인 광고 포맷을 분석하였다. 조사 결과 대부분의 웹사이트가 연락처 정보 특히 이메일 주소와 SNS 등 디지털 연락정보를 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 배너광고는 이 웹사이트에 등장하는 광고 형식 중 가장 일반적인 것으로 나타났으나 한국 웹사이트는 이집트 사이트보다 배너 광고를 더 많이 사용했다. 한국의 웹사이트들은 이집트 웹사이트보다 FAQ나 모바일 앱과 같은 더 편리한 도구를 제공하였다. 신뢰와 안전에 관해서 단기 지향을 가진 이집트 웹사이트들은 온라인 구매나 거래 기능을 제공하지 않았지만, 대부분의 한국 웹사이트들은 그 기능을 가지고 있었다. 이 연구에서 문화와 인터넷 사용 수준이 웹사이트의 특징과 기능에 상당한 영향을 미친다는 것이 나타났다. A content analysis of 100 Egyptian and Korean website homepages was conducted. Coders analyzed the websites in terms of specific features were determined according to culture and technology impact. They looked also at online ad formats were featured on all websites. The study results found that most of the websites posted contact information especially digital contact information like email address and SNS. Banners were found to be the most common ad format featured on the websites but Korean websites used them more than Egyptian websites did. Korean websites provided more convenient tools like FAQ and mobile apps more than Egyptian websites did. According to trust and security issues in short-term oriented society like Egypt, Egyptian websites did not provide the online purchase or deal feature while, most of Korean websites featured it. Findings of the study proved that culture and the Internet usage level had a significant effect on website characteristics and features.

        Factors Influencing Corporate Donations Among Shariah-Compliant Companies in Malaysia

        Within the context of publicly traded Sharia-compliant companies in Malaysia, this study investigated the influence that board and company characteristics have on corporate donations. The primary focus of the study was (i) two board characteristics derived from upper echelons theory, namely gender composition and education level, and (ii) four firm variables derived from stakeholder theory, specifically company size, profitability, leverage, and industry category. This study used a total of 402 Shariah-compliant companies that operated in accordance with Shariah law. The information utilized in this study was culled by hand from the annual reports of various companies covering the years 2017 through 2019. According to the findings, the educational level of a company’s board of directors has a significant impact on the amount of money donated to charitable organizations by Shariah-compliant companies. The level of expertise possessed by board members can be of assistance to businesses in becoming more aware of the necessity of making contributions or donations. Corporate contribution practices among Shariah-compliant companies in Malaysia were also significantly influenced by the firm’s size, profitability, and the industry category in which the business was classified. The findings of the study contribute to a better understanding of the impact that board and company variables have on the activities of corporate donors.

        Improved Routing Metrics for Energy Constrained Interconnected Devices in Low-Power and Lossy Networks

        The routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks(RPL) is an internet protocol based routing protocol developed andstandardized by IETF in 2012 to support a wide range of applicationsfor low-power and lossy-networks (LLNs). In LLNs consistingof resource-constrained devices, the energy consumption ofbattery powered sensing devices during network operations cangreatly impact network lifetime. In the case of inefficient route selection,the energy depletion from even a few nodes in the networkcan damage network integrity and reliability by creating holes inthe network. In this paper, a composite energy-aware node metric(RERBDI ) is proposed for RPL; thismetric uses both the residualenergy ratio (RER) of the nodes and their battery discharge index. This composite metric helps avoid overburdening power depletednetwork nodes during packet routing from the source towards thedestination oriented directed acyclic graph root node. Additionally,an objective function is defined for RPL, which combines the nodemetric RERBDI and the expected transmission count (ETX) linkquality metric; this helps to improve the overall network packetdelivery ratio. The COOJA simulator is used to evaluate the performanceof the proposed scheme. The simulations show encouragingresults for the proposed scheme in terms of network lifetime,packet delivery ratio and energy consumption, when compared tothe most popular schemes for RPL like ETX, hop-count and RER.

      • Observer-Based Control Design for a Class of Nonlinear Systems Subject to Unknown Inputs

        This paper deals with the problem of observer-based controller design for a class of nonlinear systems subject to unknown inputs. A novel method is presented to design a controller using estimated state variables which guarantees all the state variables of the closed-loop system converge to the vicinity of the origin and stay there forever. This is done via satisfying several sufficient conditions in terms of nonlinear matrix inequalities. In light of linear algebra, particularly matrix decompositions, the achieved conditions will be converted to a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem to facilitate the procedure of computing the observer and controller gains. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by implementing on a highly nonlinear chaotic system.

        Design of PID Controller with Grid Connected Hybrid Renewable Energy System Using Optimization Algorithms

        The main target of this paper is to allow renewable energy resources (RES) to participate eff ectively within hybrid micro grids via an optimal proportional integral- derivative (PID) controller. This paper proposes two techniques of optimal PID controllers in a hybrid renewable generation energy system. These techniques are particle swarm optimization (PSO) and lightning attachment procedure optimization (LAPO). The hybrid renewable generation energy system in this study includes a photovoltaic source, wind turbine, and battery storage, which are connected to a point of common coupling via DC/DC boost converters. The controller at the inverter consists of a current controller and voltage source controller, which results in three PID gains at each controller. In order to obtain the PID gains, a time domain objective function is formulated in terms of the voltage, and current errors. The obtained results with the individual advanced optimization LAPO and PSO algorithm are compared. The results display that the developed LAPO algorithms give better results compared to the conventional PSO at the input and output current, voltage, and power. All the results have been taken under several operating conditions of wind turbine (wind speed) and solar sun (changing irradiance and temperature).
