In this study, rheological and thermal decomposition behavior of AISI 4605 MIM feedstock investigated using capillaryand thermogravimetric analysis. For this purpose and in order to find the critical solids loading, the feedstock was preparedby compounding AISI 4605 micro powder (~ 4 μm) with an adopted multi-component wax-based binder system at variouspowder loadings (53–61 vol%). After preparing the feedstock with optimal solids loading, fundamental rheological characteristicsof homogenized feedstock, including flow behavior index (n), flow activation energy (E), and general moldabilityindex (αstv) were studied. Furthermore, thermal analysis of feedstock, including apparent debinding activation energy andmaster decomposition curve was investigated. The results showed that critical solids loading of feedstock is around 58 vol%. The flow behavior index of developed feedstock was acceptable, since it came out to be less than one. Also, flow activationenergy which shows the sensitivity of material to temperature changes, came out to be 70.406 kJ/mol. Using these two parameters,general moldability index was calculated to be 2.3147E−06. Finally, the master decomposition curve of feedstock wasconstructed based on calculated apparent debinding activation energy and verified using decomposition curves at differentheating rates of 2, 5 and 10 °C/min.
LASER INDUCED SURFACE PROCESSING WITH GOLD NANOPARTICLE ARRAYS EMBEDDED IN A TRANSPARENT MATRIX

Gold nanoparticles are widely used as high efficient photon–thermal energy converters in a broad range of applications. This paper presents a theoretical investigation on using the optothermal properties of gold nanoparticle arrays to generate nanoscale molten and rubbery regions on the surface of an amorphous polymeric film. Nanoparticles are assumed to be embedded in a transparent silica layer and illuminated with a 7.5 ns pulsed laser at 532 nm. Simulation results are presented for systems with single gold nanoparticles, dimers and chains. Both electromagnetic and thermal interaction between nanoparticles are found to be important factors in determining the result of surface processing. This effect allows us to control the shape and spatial characteristics of the phase transmitted regions with various parameters such as particles size, incident light fluence, polarization and direction, interparticle distance and chain length.

Excessive use of chemical fertilizers, especially nitrogen fertilizers to increase crop and improper purification, and delivery of municipal and industrial wastewater are proposed as factors that increase the amount of nitrate in groundwater in this area. Thus, investigation of nitrate contamination as one of the most important environmental problems in groundwater is necessary. In the present study, modeling and estimation of nitrate pollution in groundwater of marginal area of Zayandeh-rood River, Isfahan, Iran, was investigated using water quality and artificial neural networks. 100 wells (77 agriculture well, 13 drinking well and 10 gardens well) in the marginal area of Zayandeh-rood River, Isfahan, Iran were selected. MATLAB software and three-layer Perceptron network were used. The back-propagation learning rule and sigmoid activation function were applied for the training process. After frequent experiments, a network with one hidden layer and 19 neurons make the least error in the process of network training, testing and validation. ANN models can be applied for the investigation of water quality parameters.

In this paper, under the complex-weighted directed communication topology, the problem of distributedfault tolerant control (FTC) for a class of second-order multi-agent systems (MAS) in the presence of actuator faultsis studied. The faults can simultaneously occur in more than one agent. First, a real representation of the secondorderdynamic agent with the complex weighted graph is proposed. Second, based on the proposed representation,distributed finite-time convergent observer is proposed for each agent to estimate the state and fault in a finite time. Then, using the fault information obtained online, an adaptive FTC protocol is proposed to compensate for thefailure effects and to enable all the agents to achieve the control goal. Also, we show that the closed-loop systemcan be guaranteed to be asymptotically stable in the presence of faults. Finally, an illustration example is given todemonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
Upper and lower bounds for the power of eigenvalues in Seidel matrix

In this paper, we generalize the concept of the energy of Seidel matrix $S(G)$ which denoted by $S^\alpha(G)$ and obtain some results related to this matrix. Also, we obtain an upper and lower bound for $ S^\alpha(G)$ related to all of graphs with $|det S(G)|\geq(n-1), n\geq3$.

A semi-analytical method is developed to consider free vibrations of a functionally graded elastic plate resting on Winkler elastic foundation and in contact with a quiescent fluid. Material properties are assumed to be graded distribution along the thickness direction according to a power-law in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The fluid is considered to be incompressible and inviscid. In the analysis, the effect of an in-plane force in the plate due to the weight of the fluid is taken into account. By satisfying the compatibility conditions along the interface of fluid and plate, the fluid-structure interaction is taken into account and natural frequencies and mode shapes of the coupled system are acquired by employing energy methods. The results obtained from the present approach are verified by those from a finite element analysis. Besides, the effects of volume fractions of functionally graded materials, Winkler foundation stiffness and in-plane forces on the dynamic of plate are elucidated.

The broad-spectrum insecticides greatly influence the control of cotton aphids; however, due to frequent chemicalcontrol, Aphis gossypii (Hemiptera: Aphididae) has developed resistance against several classes of syntheticinsecticides. In this study, we explored the sub-lethal effects of imidacloprid and pirimicarb, two commonly usedinsecticides for aphid control, on a parasitoid wasp, Lysiphlebus fabarum (Marshall) (Braconidae: Aphidiinae),when simultaneously used to control melon aphid on cucumber plants, as part of a comprehensive study forintegrated pest management. Bioassays of imidacloprid and pirimicarb were performed to calculate LC50 withthird instars of A. gossypii. The LC50 of these insecticides (110.55 and 250.89 μg/lit, respectively) were used toexpose the wasp larvae, pupae, and adult parasitoids on a cucumber leaf. The percent mortality, percent adultemergence, and sex ratio were calculated during each exposure test. Moreover, the body size, egg load, andmature egg size of wasps surviving the insecticide treatments, as well as the sex ratio of the second generationwas evaluated. Regardless of the host aphid mortality, none of the insecticides caused mortality of larval stage ofthe parasitoid. The insecticide application on pupal stage revealed that the percentage of mortality, sex ratio,body size, and egg load of surviving wasps, as well as the sex ratio of their offspring was adversely affected byimidacloprid, but not by pirimicarb. The present study suggests pirimicarb as a preferred insecticide, with lessharmful effects on the fitness components of L. fabarum, for integrated pest management of cotton aphids.

Background: Migraine headaches have been associated with sensory hyperactivity and anomalies in social/emotional responses. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the potential involvement of orexin 1 receptors (Orx1R) within the basolateral amygdala (BLA) in the modulation of pain and psychosocial dysfunction in a nitroglycerin (NTG)-induced rat model of migraine. Methods: Adult male Wistar rats were injected with NTG (5 mg/kg, intraperitoneal) every second day over nine days to induce migraine. The experiments were done in the following six groups (6 rats per group): untreated control, NTG, NTG plus vehicle, and NTG groups that were post-treated with intra-BLA microinjection of Orx1R antagonist SB-334867 (10, 20, and 40 nM). Thermal hyperalgesia was assessed using the hot plate and tail-flick tests. Moreover, the elevated plus maze (EPM) and open field (OF) tests were used to assess anxiety-like behaviors. The animals’ sociability was evaluated using the three-chamber social task. The NTG-induced photophobia was assessed using a light-dark box. Results: We observed no change in NTG-induced thermal hyperalgesia following administration of SB-334867 (10, 20, and 40 nM). However, SB-334867 (20 and 40 nM) aggravated the NTG-induced anxiogenic responses in both the EPM and OF tasks. The NTG-induced social impairment was overpowered by SB-334867 at all doses. Time spent in the dark chamber of light-dark box was significantly increased in rats treated with SB-334867 (20 and 40 nM/rat). Conclusions: The findings suggest a role for Orx1R within the BLA in control comorbid affective complaints with migraine in rats.
