        한국인 중·고급 일본어학습자의 효과적인 커뮤니케이션 전략 사용에 관한 연구

        제2언어학습자가 모어화자와 목표언어로 커뮤니케이션할 때 발생한 문제를 극복하고 커뮤니케이션을 원활하게 수행하기 위해 사용하는 전략을 ‘커뮤니케이션 전략(communication strategy, CS)’이라고 한다. 본고는 한국인 중·고급 일본어학습자와 일본어모어화자의 1대1 접촉장면 회화를 분석자료로 하여 학습자가 어떤 CS를 사용함으로써 커뮤니케이션상의 문제를 해결하고 커뮤니케이션을 성립시키고 있는가에 대해 고찰·분석한 것이다. CS의 사용 단계를 첫 번째의 CS가 사용되는 ‘CS 사용①’ 단계와 한 번의 CS 사용으로 문제를 해결하지 못해 다시 CS를 사용하는 ‘CS의 재시도’와 같은 두 가지로 나누어 각 단계에서 중급학습자 및 고급학습자가 사용한 효과적인 CS를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, ‘CS 사용①’ 단계에서는 [간접 호소]가 중급·고급 두 레벨 모두에서 효과적으로 사용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 중급학습자는 [코드스위칭]을 효과적으로 사용하고 있었으나 이것은 대화 상대인 일본어모어화자가 어느 정도 한국어가 가능하기 때문이라고 생각된다. 그리고 중급학습자에게 있어서는 CS의 연속 사용이 효과적으로 작용하고 있었다. 특히 [설명]과 [예시]를 두 번째의 CS로 사용하는 것이 효과적이었다. 한편, 고급학습자에게 있어서는 [설명]과 [예시]를 단독으로 사용해서 커뮤니케이션을 성립시키는 경향이 보였다. ‘CS의 재시도’ 단계에서는 [바꿔 말하기]나 [설명] 등과 같은 ‘목표언어기반CS’를 사용해서 의도한 내용을 구체화하는 것이 효과적이었다.

        Development of a New On-line fiber Orientation Sensor Based on Dielectric Anisotropy

        A new method is proposed for the on-line measurement of the fiber orientation of sheet materials. The measurement of fiber orientation is very important in manufacturing paper sheets, non-woven fabrics, and glass sheets, because fiber orientation strongly affects product properties represented by, for example, dimensional stability of paper. A method developed in this research utilizes anisotropy of dielectric constants of sheet materials as a key characteristic to determine the fiber orientation. The new on-line sensor, consisting of 5 microwave dielectric resonators set in different directions, was designed to detect the fiber orientation while paper is running with high speed on a paper machine. This sensor can determine the direction and the degree of fiber orientation from the measured direction of the maximal dielectric constant and its variation, respectively. The fundamental performance of this system was examined by the static measurement of printing grade paper, which gave a satisfactory result. Then, the dynamic measurements were done at a speed of 1,000 m/min by using a high-speed test-coating machine.

        Modified Structural Modeling Method and Its Application: Behavior Analysis of Passengers for East Japan Railway Company

        In order to cope with the ill-defined problem of human behavior being immanent uncertainty, several methodologies have been studied in game theoretic, social psychological and political science frameworks. As methods to arrange system elements systematically and draw out the consenting structural model concretively, ISM, FSM and DEMATEL based on graph theory etc. have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a modified structural modeling method to recognize the nature of problem. We introduce the statistical method to adjust the establishment levels in group decision situation. From this, it will become possible to obtain effectively and smoothly the structural model of group members in comparison with the traditional methods. Further we propose a procedure for achieving the consenting structural model of group members based on the structural modeling method. By applying the method to recognize the nature of ill-defined problems, it will be possible to solve the given problem effectively and rationally. In order to inspect the effectiveness of the method, we conduct a practical problem as an empirical study: "Behavior analysis of passengers for the Joban line of East Japan Railway Company after new railway service of Tsukuba Express opened".

        Monitoring on Insecticide Resistance of the Brown Planthopper and the White Backed Planthopper in Asia

        Annual change in insecticide susceptibility of the long-range migrating rice insects, the brown planthopper (BPH) and the white backed planthopper (WBPH), monitored by topical application was reviewed covering temperate and tropical Asia. Monitoring in Japan revealed consistent increase in topical $\textrm{LD}_{50}$ of BPH for various insecticides during the period between 1967 and 1983 with small peak in 1979 and abrupt increase occurred in 1984 and 1985 with the highest peak ever observed, and then recovered to the 1979 level and remain unchanged to the present. The WBPH showed no obvious change until 1984 when marked increase in $\textrm{LD}_{50}$, especially for the organoosphates occurred and gradual increase still continues. In the tropics, recent data on BPH obtained from Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia shows apparent development of insecticide resistance with remarkable increase in $\textrm{LD}_{50}$ as compared to the late 1970's data. Present level of insecticide susceptibility is close to those in temperate Asia. WBPH from those tropical zone also showed remarkable increase in $\textrm{LD}_{50}$ during the last two decades.

      • Metadata with Interoperability Focus : The Future Course of the Cataloguing Rules

        Due to the innovation of information and communication technology in recent years people are enjoying various information services through a broad range of information service agencies (libraries, museums, archives, information repositories and many types of commercial or governmental/ nongovernmental information providers) over the internet. Agencies now have to improve their systems (network protocols, metadata, etc.) interoperability to allow users to smoothly discover and obtain information from multiple agencies. This paper reviews metadata (i.e. catalogue) standards in the library community from semantic interoperability perspective. It explores some recent achievements of the Dublin Core and Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), and discusses the future course of the cataloguing 겨les. In accordance with the IFLA's International Cataloguing Code (ICC) project that started in 2003, I add a proposal for collaborative research between China, Japan and Korea on the library metadata.

      • Preparation and Electric Properties of PbTiO$_3$Thin Films by Low-pressure Thermal Plasma Deposition

        PbTiO$_3$ thin films were prepared by low-pressure thermal plasma deposition on (100)Pt/(100)MgO substrates. Mist of source material in which metal alkoxides are dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol was introduced into plasma through heating furnace and deposited onto substrates at $600^{\circ}C$. As-deposited PbTiO$_3$/Pt/MgO thin film prepared at 1.33$\times$10$^4$ Pa was grown epitaxially, but was consisted of many rectangular shaped grains, with many grain boundaries and it was impossible to measure electric properties. As-deposited film prepared at 1.00$\times$10$^4$ Pa showed weak peaks of X-ray diffraction and the film was not grown epitaxially. On the other hand, the film after annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ showed strong diffraction peaks and epitaxial growth was also observed. For annealed film, moreover, no clear grain boundaries were observed. The value of ${\varepsilon}_r$, tan${\delta}$, Pr and Ec of annealed film were 160, 3.2%, 10.4${\mu}$C.cm$^-2$ and 51.2kV.cm$^-1$, respectively. Since the composition, Pb/Ti, measured by EDS attaching to SEM changed point by point, the distribution of composition in annealed film was investigated and found out several relations between composition and electric properties. At stoichiometric composition, Pr and Ec showed the lowest value and they gradually became large as composition deviated from stoichiometric one. Moreover, the value of ${\varepsilon}_r$ became gradually large as the ratio of Ti became high.

      • Accuracy and applicable range of a reconstruction technique for hybrid rockets

        Accuracy of a reconstruction technique assuming a constant characteristic exhaust velocity ($c^*$) efficiency for reducing hybrid rocket firing test data was examined experimentally. To avoid the difficulty arising from a number of complex chemical equilibrium calculations, a simple approximate expression of theoretical $c^*$ as a function of the oxidizer to fuel ratio (${\xi}$) and the chamber pressure was developed. A series of static firing tests with the same test conditions except burning duration revealed that the error in the calculated fuel consumption decreases with increasing firing duration, showing that the error mainly comes from the ignition and shutdown transients. The present reconstruction technique obtains ${\xi}$ by solving an equation between theoretical and experimental $c^*$ values. A difficulty arises when multiple solutions of ${\xi}$ exists. In the PMMA-LOX combination, a ${\xi}$ range of 0.6 to 1.0 corresponds to this case. The definition of $c^*$ efficiency necessary to be used in this reconstruction technique is different from a $c^*$ efficiency obtained by a general method. Because the $c^*$ efficiency obtained by average chamber pressure and ${\xi}$ includes the $c^*$ loss due to the ${\xi}$ shift, it can be below unity even when the combustion gas keeps complete mixing and chemical equilibrium during the entire period of a firing. Therefore, the $c^*$ efficiency obtained in the present reconstruction technique is superior to the $c^*$ efficiency obtained by the general method to evaluate the degree of completion of the mixing and chemical reaction in the combustion chamber.

        日本語会話の発話権にかかわる話し手の笑いの役割 -タ-ンの

        本稿では、笑いと発話権の移行の關連性を明らかにするため、話者交替の基本單位であるタ一ンに注目し、話し手の笑いを「タ一ンの一部」または「タ一ン」、受け手の笑いを「あいづち」としての笑いと位置づけ、話し手による「タ一ンの一部」または「タ一ン」としての笑いが発話権の移行とどのようにかかわるのかを明らかにすることを目的とした。「タ一ンの一部」としての笑いは、タ一ンの冒頭に現れて発話権を獲得し、タ一ンの中間部に現れて発話権を維持し、タ一ンの末尾に現れて発話権を釀渡したりすることが明らかになった。その際、笑いは會話の中でフィラ一のような役割を持ったり 應答などの何らかの意味を表したりしながら、発話権の所在を決定づける役割を持つことがわかった。また、「タ一ン」としての笑いは、應答の発話のように何らかの意味を持つタ一ンとして現れたり、連鎖的に「タ一ン」としての笑いが現れることで話者交替を行い、会話の連鎖を作り出していくこともできるなど、話し手の笑いが会話の連鎖を生み出す重要な裝置となっていることがわかった。 This study observed laughter produced by a current speaker in order to explain the relevance of the turn-taking and laughter. Focusing on the basic unit of turn-taking, the laughter of the current speaker can be regarded as ``a part of a turn`` or ``a turn``, while laughter of a recipient``s as ``a back channel``. Laughter seemed to have some roles to determine the movement of the turn. The speaker can take his turn by eliciting laughter in the beginning of the turn, and sustain his turn by eliciting laughter in the middle part of his turn, and may end his turn by eliciting laughter at the end of his turn. The laughter as ``a turn`` can appear as an utterance at the second pair of the adjacency pair (such as question-answer), or appear as an utterance to produce turn-taking sequences. These point out that laughter plays an role as an important device for determining the movement of turns and producing the sequences of turns in the conversation.
