There is a need for explosion experiments for explosion-related research. However, there are many restrictions in performing an actual experiment. Therefore, in this paper, an alternative method of overcoming the constraints of an explosion experiment has been conducted using a passenger behavior analysis program called MADYMO to assess and analyze the human body injury due to explosion load. To increase the reliability of the analysis, a drop test has been conducted with the analysis. We provide a new framework for performing the analysis. In future, we will further develop our research with the goal of reducing the opportunity cost for the study of the human body injury.
비목나무 (Lindera erythrocarpa Makino) 껍질에서 분리한 신규화합물 (Jeju-Erythrane)의 멜라닌 생합성 억제 효과

본 연구는 제주도에서 자생하는 비목나무 (Lindera erythrocarpa) 껍질에서 분리 · 동정한 신규화합물 (Jeju-Erythrane)의 항산화 활성 및 B16F10 mouse melanoma 세포에서의 tyrosinase와 멜라닌 생합성의 억제효과를 확인하여, 유용자원으로서 미백 및 기능성 화장료로의 산업적 활용 가능성이 있는지 알아보고자 시행하였다. 실험 결과, 신규화합물인 Jeju-Erythrane의 항산화 활성은 확인되지 않았고, B16F10 세포에서 tyrosinase와 멜라닌 합성을 농도 의존적으로 억제하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, tyrosinase와 TRP-1 유전자의 단백질 및 mRNA 발현양도 농도 의존적으로 감소함을 보였다. 하지만, TRP-2 단백질과 mRNA는 농도에 관계없이 일정하게 발현하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구결과는 비목나무 (Lindera erythrocarpa) 껍질에서 분리 · 동정한 신규화합물 (Jeju-Erythrane)이 미백 관련 기능성 소재로서의 활용가치가 있음을 보여준다. In this study, a new compound, 1-(2-hydroxy-3,4,5,6-tetramethoxyphenyl)-1-methoxy-3-phenylpropane; (Jeju-Erythrane) was isolated and identified from the bark of Lindera erythrocarpa Makino. Also, we investigated the effects of Jeju-Erythrane on alpha melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH)-induced melanogenesis in mouse B16F10 melanoma cells. The new compound dose dependently inhibited the tyrosinase activity and melanin synthesis in B16F10 cells. The new compound showed inhibitory effect on the Tyrosinase and TRP-1 gene transcription but not on the TRP-2 gene. These results suggest that the new compound of L. erythrocarpa could be used as a functional biomaterial in developing skin whitening agent.
호두 첨가에 따른 양조간장의 맛 성분 및 관능적 특성 변화

This study was conducted to investigate changes in organoleptic properties and taste components including free sugar, organic acid and free amino acid with addition of walnut. Changes in total nitrogen were insignificantly different with addition of walnut. Amino type nitrogen content was decreased in proportion to supplemental level of walnut. Content of organic acids, of which three kinds were detected, such as citric acid, malic acid and lactic acid increased more than two times with addition of walnut. Contents of free sugar and amino acid were decreased with addition of walnut. The proportion of essential amino acid was 40.6~41.4 percent. Glutamic acid in total amino acid was increased in proportion with addition of walnut. The highest sensory evaluation score was recorded in soy sauce with addition of 2 percent walnut. Together, it was expected that 2 percent addition of walnut to soy sauce has a positive effect on the taste of soy sauce.
열-전자기 연성해석을 이용한 차축에 대한 최적의 고주파 열처리 주파수 조건에 대한 연구

신뢰성 및 반복성을 포함한 장점을 갖고 있는 고주파 유도 경화는 많은 산업분야에 사용된다. 고주파 유도 경화는 화염을 이용하지 않고 최소한의 시간에 에너지-효율적인 가열방법을 제공하는 비접촉식 방법이다. 최근, 유한요소법을 이용한 고주파 유도 경화가 적극적으로 연구되고 있지만, 이들 연구는 단지 분석의 정확도에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 논문에서는 코일 및 입력 전원을 동일한 형태의 조건에서 가변 주파수를 적용하여 해석하고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 해석과 실험 결과는 최적의 주파수인 3kHz를 사용하였을 때 경화 깊이가 거의 동일함을 보인다. High-frequency induction hardening (HFIH) is used in many industries and has a number of advantages, including reliability and repeatability. It is a non-contact method of providing energy-efficient heat in the minimum amount of time without using a flame. Recently, HFIH has been actively studied using the finite-element method (FEM), however, these studies only focused on the accuracy of the analysis. In this paper, we analyzed HFIH by using a variable frequency based on the conditions of the same shape and input power then comparing the analysis results to experimental results. The analysis and experimental results indicate that the hardening depths are approximately the same using the optimal frequency of 3kHz.

This study was conducted to assess effects of addition of walnuts on soy sauce quality. The pH was significantly increased by adding more than 4 percent of walnuts. As the addition of walnuts increased, Hunter’s color values and brown color increased. Total solid of soy sauce did not change significantly with the addition of walnuts. Crude fat content increased by two times in the 2 percent added walnuts group compared to the control group, but it was not dependent on the addition of walnuts. DPPH radical scavenging activity was significantly increased with the addition of walnuts. The addition of walnuts decrease saturated fatty acids and increased unsaturated fatty acids. Composition ratio of linoleic acid was highest in the control group and all the additions. These results revealed that soy sauce made with walnuts have a positive effect on functionality and preference.

The purpose of this study was to develop improved strength of an arm and a boom on over-load environment, which causes damage in the initial design statement. To develop improved strength of an excavator front group, we calculated load conditions using the MATLAB program, and using these conditions, we performed a structural analysis of an excavator front group for the maximum digging force condition. Finally we performed a topology optimization to reduce weights of an arm and a boom, and we re-modeled an arm and a boom based on the topology design results and re-performed the structural analysis. The strength of the re-design is higher than the initial design but its weight is almost the same as the initial design.

Air pollutants can trigger various disorders in humans and induce skin aging effects, related cell death, and inflammation. This study demonstrated the effects of low temperature-fermented Opuntia Ficus-Indica Fruit extracts (LTOE) treated total suspended particles (TSP). LTOE induced the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-8 without cytotoxicity. To investigate the anti-aging effect, LTOE inhibited the production of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 (collagenase) more than Opuntia Ficus-Indica Fruit extracts (OE) in TSP-treated Normal human fibroblast cells. This study reports the significant improvement of anti-inflammation and decrease of MMP-1 related to the LTOE, which will be helpful in processing cosmetic ingredients.
