        플라톤 교육론의 대안으로서의 쉴러의 미적 교육

        Is it acceptable to believe that the relationship between an art-centered education and a knowledge-centered education is parallel or hierarchical without any examination? Generally, this relationship is understood to be separable in modern society; this view is based on the weakness of Plato`s educational theory. Schiller`s aesthetic view on education regards education as an art, and it can be an alternative view to Plato`s view. This study considers Plato`s educational theory critically and investigates how Schiller`s aesthetic view on education can be understood to present an alternative view. First, Plato`s educational theory and its limits are examined carefully. This study then explores the significance of Schiller`s aesthetic view on education, focusing on the play drive that enables the living form to act. It illuminates the fact that art-centered education and knowledge-centered education cannot be separate because they have a dynamic and organic relationship. The meaning of the phrase `the education as an art` has implications on the integrated curriculum, as well as teachers and students as artists.

        자유교육에서의 비개념적 지식과 실재: 마리땡(Maritain)의 인식론을 중심으로

        본 연구에서는 자끄 마리땡의 인식론적 관점을 중심으로 자유교육에서의 비개념적 지식과 실재의 의미를 살펴보고 그것으로부터 들러나는 교육적 함의를 고찰한다. 현대 자유교육론으로 대표되는 피터즈와 전기 허스트의 이론은 실재를 제대로 드러내지 못한 채 자유교육을 정당화하고자 했다는 점에서 비판을 받아 왔다. 현대 자유교육론의 한계를 보완하기 위하여 등장한 대안적 관점은 크게 두 가지 흐름으로 구분된다. 실제적 활동을 전면에 내세움으로써 실재의 의미를 인간 욕구를 따르는 행위에 국한시켜 드러내는 ‘대체적 관점’과 기존의 지식중심의 자유교육에 대한 관점을 논리적으로 이해되는 실재의 의미에 비추어 재해석함으로써 이론적 활동의 의미를 보다 강력하게 드러내는 ‘반성적 입장’이다. 그러나 이러한 대안적 관점들은 실재를 존재론적 인식론의 관점에서 탐구하지 않은 채 합리적- 과학적 관점으로 규정한다는 점에서 자유교육의 참된 의미를 드러낸다고 볼 수 없다. 신토마스주의자인 자끄 마리땡은 철학적-종교적 관점에서 지성의 인식 작용을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 실재를 드러내는 지식의 위계를 밝히고, 개념적 지식과 비개념적 지식을 구분한다. 마리땡은 학생들로 하여금 개념적 지식의 한계를 인식하고 그것을 넘어서는 비개념적 지식을 경험하도록 하는 것, 다시 말해서 내재적이면서 초월적인 실재를 향한 학생의 내면적 활력을 일깨워 사랑으로 실천하도록 하는 것이야말로 참된 자유교육이라고 말한다. This study aims at examining the meaning of liberal education based on the Neo-thomist, Jacques Maritain’s epistemological view on the meaning of ‘reality’ and ‘nonconceptual knowledge.’ The modern liberal education by Peters and Hirst has excluded ‘reality’ and justified the liberal education. This is criticized and caused supplement views such as ‘alternative view’ emphasizing practical activity and ‘reflective view’ focusing on logical and theoretical meaning of reality. However, these views also has limitations that is not considering the meaning of reality in the aspect of ontological epistemology and defines the liberal education only through a rational-scientific view. On the basis of philosophical-religious view on reality, Maritain overcomes the limitations of modern liberal education. Maritain analyzes the intellection of intellect theoretically and systematically and shows degrees of knowledge which consist of conceptual knowledge and non-conceptual knowledge. Maritain insists that liberal education should make student know the limits of conceptual knowledge and experience the non-conceptual knowledge. It is liberal education that awaken the human being’s immanent and transcendental nature toward immanent and transcendental reality and love each other.

      • 탈모 치료를 위한 한방 샴푸의 구성약물 고찰

        Objectives : With increasing interests in hair cosmetic to keep their scalp and hair healthy we must have much more information about the oriental medical cosmetic goods. Methods : Shampoos which contain herbal ingredients are commonly used to stopping their hair loss, alopecia. On the basis of oriental pharmacology, we analyzed several shampoos which have herbal ingredients and thought about the oriental cosmetic methods for a hair loss. Results : We found that many herb based shampoos are developed on the basis of the principle of oriental medicine. In addition, the interest in oriental medical cosmetic methods that used the principles of the oriental medical science has been increased and cosmetic goods based on the oriental medicine have a positive market. Conclusions : With many possibilities for the oriental medical cosmetic methods, clinical records to prove scientific facts are urgently needed. In addition, the oriental medical cosmetic methods based on oriental medicine to examine scalp and hair should be offered.

        루소의 「에밀」 교육론에 대한 비판적 고찰: 마리땡의 존재론적 관점에서 : 마리땡의 존재론적 관점에서

        본 연구의 목적은 루소의 「에밀」에 나타난 자연주의 교육론이 계몽시대 이후 현재 우리 교육에도 많은 영향을 미치고 있다는 가정 하에, 그가 재발견하여 드러내고자 한 인간본성(또는 자연)에 대한 교육적 이해가 과연 정당한지 그리고 그것을 바탕으로 전개된 자연주의 교육이론에 한계는 없는지를 루소의 주요 교육 개념인 ‘이성’과 ‘양심’을 중심으로 비판적으로 고찰하는 데에 있다. 신토마스주의자인 마리땡(Maritain)의 존재론적 관점에 비추어 볼 때, 루소는 인간본성의 의미를 정적이이고 수동적인 것, 감각적이고 경험적인 것으로 규정하고 있다는 점, 그리하여 인간 존재자의 의미를 통합적이고 총체적으로 드러내지 못하고 왜곡하고 있다는 점이 드러날 것이다. 연구 내용은 에밀의 성장 순서에 따른 자연주의 교육에 나타난 루소의 자연주의 교육이론을 이해한 후, 「에밀」에 나타난 루소의 자연주의 교육론이 지닌 한계와 문제점을 마리땡의 존재론적 관점에 기대어 비판적으로 고찰해 보는 것으로 이루어진다. 특히 루소가 강조한 ‘감각경험(또는 감정)’, ‘이성’, ‘동정심’, ‘양심’과 같은 개념들과 그것들의 관련에 대한 루소의 견해를 이론적으로 살펴봄으로써, 자연주의 교육론이 봉착할 수밖에 없는 교육적 한계를 짚어본다. 마지막으로 루소 에밀의 교육론에 대한 비판적 이해가 현대 교육에 주는 교육적 함의와 시사점을 논한다. Rousseau s naturalistic education theory in Emile has had a significant impact on our education since the Age of Enlightenment. This study aims at critically examining the meaning the concept of Rousseau’s human nature and its limitation focused on the concepts, reason and conscience . Based on the ontological view of Maritain, it will be revealed that Rousseau defines the meaning of human nature as static and passive, sensuous and experiential, thus the meaning of human being is not revealed as an integral and totality but is distorted. This study is consists of understanding Rousseau s naturalistic education theory according to Emile s growth order, and then critically examine the limitations and problems of Rousseau s naturalistic education theory in Emile, leaning on Maritain s ontological perspective. In particular, by theoretically examining Rousseau s views on concepts such as sensory experience (or emotion) , reason , sympathy , and conscience emphasized by Rousseau and their relation, it shows that the naturalistic educational theory cannot but encounter the educational limitations. Finally, the educational implications of a critical understanding of Rousseau’s Emile are discussed.

        인격(personality)의 개념과 교육:

        인성교육에 대한 관심과 요구로 인성교육법이 시행되고 있음에도 불구하고 현대 교육에서 인성 또는 인격의 개념은 불분명하고 모호하게 규정되어 있으며 이것은 교육의 혼란을 이끈다. 이러한 혼란은 인간 본성의 의미를 총체적으로 이해하지 못한 계몽주의 사상에서 비롯된다. 계몽주의 사상을 대표하는 칸트의 이성주의나 루소의 낭만주의는 중세의 존재론적 인간관에 대한 논의 없이, 인간본성을 논함으로써 인간본성을 온전히 이해하는 데에 한계를 가진다. 이렇게 인간의 교육을 이해하는 것은 본래 존재론에 그 근원을 두는 인격의 개념을 제대로 드러내 지 못한다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 아퀴나스와 마리땡의 존재론적 인간관을 살펴봄으로써 중세 존재론에 근거한 인격의 개념과 그것이 가져오는 교육적 함의를 고찰한다. 아퀴나스의 존재론을 토대로 인격의 의미를 교육이론으로 해석한 마리땡은 인격과 개체성의 구분 및 관련을 통하여 인격의 의미에 들어있는 신적 본성의 측면, 즉 인간의 본질적 측면에 의해 가려지기 쉬 운 인간의 존재적 측면을 드러냄으로써 인간본성의 의미를 총체적으로 이해하고 있으며, 이로부터 교육의 목적은 인격을 최대화 하는 것이라는 점, 그리고 그것은 학생 마음의 내적 활력과 교사의 기예라는 역동적 요인에 의해 실현된다는 점을 분명히 하고 있다. Even though the personality-education law has taken effect, the concept of personality is so ambiguous and not clearly defined that it leads educational confusion and pervert. This phenomenon is derived from the Enlightenment which does not understand the meaning of human nature as a whole. Kant s view that is focused on reason and Rousseau s view that emphasizes inborn human nature represent Enlightenment idea, and these overlook the ontological view of Middle Age. This restricted view of Enlightenment cannot reveal the meaning of the personality which is originally rooted in ontological view at all. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explicate the meaning of personality by way of examining the human nature on the basis of Aquinas and Maritain s ontological view on man and education. Based on Thomistic idea, Maritain makes a distinction between two aspects of human being; individuality and personality, and understands human being as a whole and independent being. He claims that the concept of personality shows the supernatural aspect of human nature which is prone to be overlooked and hid by essential aspect of human being. Also, He insists that educational aims should be the increasement of the personality, and it is actualized by the two dynamic agents, the inner vitality of the student s mind and the art of the teacher.

        화이트의 잘삶을 위한 교육: 욕구, 가치, 지식의 관련성을 중심으로

        White considered the aims of education in a secular society, where most people deny the idea of religion and enlightenment, to be the promotion of personal well-being. This study critically explored White``s secular view of educational aims, focusing on the meanings of and relationshipbetween desire, worthwhileness, and knowledge. He asserted that personal well-being is comprised of informed desires, autonomy, and altruistic inclinations and that education must assist students in choosing highly informed desires throughout their lives. He also claims that worthwhileness is related to desires and that the origin of worthwhileness lies in culture, not religion or objective knowledge. Education provides students with cultural worthwhileness, such as constitutive and instrumental knowledge that does not isolate them. White``s view on well-being has significance for the various desires of students, which tend to be overlooked in knowledge-centered education; however, this has several limitations, such as the lack of understanding of liberal education, vague explanations of inter-subjective culture, and the likelihood of devaluing education as an instrumental requirement for life

        가미형개연교탕으로 치료한 부비동염 치험 1례

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of oriental medical treatment on a sinusitis patient Methods : We treated a 56-years old man patient with sinusitis. His symptoms are Ozena, Postnasal drip, Cough, sputum, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea and Headache. The patient was treated with herb-med(Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang,加味荊芥連翹湯), acupuncture, aroma oil therapy. During about a month, the patient was treated only with oriental medical treatment and without any of western medicine including antibiotics. We confirmed the progress of treatment with subjective symptoms, physical examination and radiographic inspection(PNS image). Results & Conclusions : After one month, Combined application of the oriental treatment including Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang showed remarkable effects on subjective symptoms, physical examination and radiographic inspection(PNS image). This study show that Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang effects on sinusitis.

        아토피 피부염에 대한 화피(樺皮), 만형자(蔓荊子), 선학초(仙鶴草) 함유 외용제의 임상 효과

        Objectives : The aim of this study is to examine the effect of external application containing herbal extracts (Betula platyphyllae Cortex, Viticis Fructus, Agrimoniae herba) to patients with atopic dermatitis. Methods : Twenty patients (experiment group) were treated with the external application containing herbal extracts (Betula platyphyllae Cortex, Viticis Fructus, Agrimoniae herba) and other twenty patients (control group) were treated with normal external application that doesn't contain herbal extracts for 2weeks. We observed comparisons between experiment and control group after 1week, 2weeks. Degrees of severity of atopic dermatitis were measured by SCORAD index (Scoring of Atopic Dermatitis Index). Statistical significance was achieved if the probability was less than 5% (p<0.05). Results : 1. After 1week of external application treatment, SCORAD Index in experiment group was significantly decreased comparing with control group, which is a marginally significant result between two groups. But after 2weeks the experiment group showed no statistically significant result. 2. After 1week of external application treatment, Intensity Criteria (Erythema, Edema/papulation, Total) in experiment group was significantly decreased comparing with control group, which is a statistically significant result between two groups. But after 2weeks the experiment group showed no statistically significant result. 3. After 1week and 2weeks of external application treatment, comparison of changes in Subjective Symptoms (Pruritus, Insomnia) indicated that the experiment group showed no statistically significant result. 4. After 1week of external application treatment, Total Quality of life through Skindex-29 in experiment group was significantly decreased comparing with control group, which is a marginally significant result between two groups. But after 2weeks the experiment group showed no statistically significant result. Conclusions : As a result of applying the external application containing herbal extracts to patients with atopic dermatitis and watching the progress, we can speculate that the external application containing herbal extracts has especially short-term therapeutical effects in mitigating the symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis. Thus, it is concluded and considered that the external application containing herbal extracts can be used by atopic patients effectively with almost no side-effect.
