정규화된 오차신호 전력을 이용한 동시통화 검출기의 성능 개선

Double-talk detection errors can result in either large residual echo or distorting the near-end talker's input speech. Thus accurate double-talk detection is an important problem in the acoustic echo canceller to improve the speech quality. In the double-talk detection algorithm using a cross-correlation coefficient, double-talk detection errors can occur in the initial convergence period of an adaptive filter or in noisy environment since the cross-correlation coefficient becomes large in such situations. In this paper, we propose a new double-talk detection algorithm based on the cross-correlation method using a normalized error signal power to reduce the double-talk detection errors. The experimental results have shown the performance improvement of an acoustic echo canceller as well as the noise-robustness of the proposed double-talk detector. 음향 반향제거기에서의 동시통화 검출 오류는 근단화자의 음성신호를 왜곡시키거나 반향제거 성능을 저하시킬 수 있다. 따라서 정확한 동시통화 구간의 검출은 음향 반향제거기의 성능을 결정짓는 중요한 요소 중의 하나이다. 기존의 상호상관계수를 이용한 동시통화 검출 알고리듬은 적응필터의 초기 수렴구간과 배경잡음이 많은 환경에서는 근단화자의 음성신호가 존재하지 않더라도 상호상관계수 값이 증가하여 동시통화 검출 오류가 자주 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 상호상관계수를 이용한 동시통화 검출 알고리듬의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 상호상관계수와 더불어 단일통화 구간에서의 적응필터의 정규화된 오차신호 전력을 이용하여 동시통화를 검출하는 알고리듬을 제안한다. 실험 결과, 제안한 동시통화 검출 알고리듬은 잡음환경에 강인할 뿐만 아니라 음향 반향제거기의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

TMS320C6711 DSP를 이용한 음향 반향제거기의 실시간 구현

In this paper, we implement an acoustic echo canceller running in real time with robust double-talk detection algorithm using TMS320C6711 DSK(DSP Start Kit). The algorithm of an echo cancellation that is used in implemented system is robust in noisy environment. It use a smoothed power obtained from the power of a microphone input signal with cross correlation value to detect a double-talk. And it can discriminate an echo path change from a double-talk using an auxiliary adaptive filter. To implement an acoustic echo canceller on the TMS320C6711 DSK, we use an audio daughter card that has a stereo audio codec because the adaptive filter in acoustic echo canceller needs two input channels for reference and desired signals. First we develop the echo canceller on the PC for verifying the performance of an echo cancellation, then implement it on the TMS320C6711 DSK. the experimental results show that the execution time for one sample with 8㎑ sampling rate is 0.035㎳ and average ERLE is 20.73㏈ for 20-second-long signal.

멀티 캐스팅 기반의 화상회의 시스템상에서 다중 통신 채널을 이용한 QoS 제어 방법

화상회의 프로그램에서 회의 참여자간에 멀티 캐스팅을 이용하여 정보를 전송할 경우 point-to-point방법보다 네트웍 트래픽을 상당히 줄일 수 있다는 장점이 있으나, 각 회의 참여자간 모두 같은 QoS를 지원할 수 밖에 없다는 단점이 발성한다. 본 논문에서는 전송할 자료를 몇가지 그룹으로 나누어 그룹 전송함으로 다양한 QoS를 지원하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

The Role of Paternal Drinking Problems in the Psychological Characteristics of High School Students

Background: It has been reported that children with parental drinking problems are at increased risk of drinking problems or psychiatric diseases in adulthood. The present study was conducted to examine the psychiatric characteristics of high school students according to paternal drinking problems.Methods: The subjects were 950 high school students (390 male and 560 female). The paternal drinking problems were assessed by using the Father-Short Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test. The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test, Beck’s depression inventory, and Beck’s anxiety inventory were used to evaluate the drinking behavior, depression, and anxiety of high school students.Results: While male students with paternal drinking problems showed significantly increased risk of anxiety (odds ratio [OR], 2.21; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.05 to 4.63), female students with paternal drinking problems showed significantly increased risk of depression (OR, 1.84; 95% CI, 1.24 to 2.74) according to the results of logistic regression analysis with adjustments for participants’ age, whether they live together with parents, their religion, club activities, and smoking habits on the basis of students without paternal drinking problems.Conclusion: The above results suggest that paternal drinking problems lead to unstable mentalities in both male and female students, and that a family physician should address the mental state of teenagers with paternal drinking problems during clinical encounters.
