The rheological properties of colloidal microgel controlled with cross-linking density

In this study, colloidal microgel with viscoelasticity were prepared by using dispersion containing physical crosslinking agents and microgels with various strengths depending on the degree of cross-links. As the chemical crosslinking agent PEGDA400 content increased, hydrogels have various physical properties the swelling ratio decreased from 2.0×104% to 6.0×103% and increased viscosity by about 60%. The colloidal microgel was prepared with micro hydrogel grinded to 100 μm size and the rheological behavior was confirmed with physical cross linking agent. A colloidal microgel having various viscosities was prepared by controlling starch and alginate based on micro-hydrogel containing 0.75% (w/v) of PEGDA400. In conclusion, these results would be highly useful for applying as a product that can give various physical properties to the colloidal suspensions, cosmetics, paint, and food industry.
A spike-like self-assembly of poly(aspartamide) integrated with functionalized nanoparticles

Nanoparticles formed by self-assembly in aqueous solution have been extensively studied in a variety of applications due to their morphological and functional properties. In this study, a poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) (PHEA) grafted with menthyl anthranilate was successfully synthesized. The size and morphology of the self-assembled nanoparticles were controlled by adjusting the degree of substitution (DS). In addition, inorganic particles were encapsulated into a self-assembly, spike-like self-assembled nanoparticles were formed when 5% hydrophobic moieties were introduced. It was confirmed that ultraviolet screening ability of spike-like nanoparticles increases 1.8-fold compared to simple inorganic particles. Finally, nano-sized self-assemblies were applied to a cosmeceutical formulation. These results can be utilized for innovative cosmeceutical delivery that can effectively meet the needs for both beauty and functionality, including the treatment.

Biocompatible with amphiphilic block or graft copolymers in particulate carrier systems have been extensively studied for pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical application. In this study, a poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) (PHEA) grafted with retinoic acid, which could form self-assemblies in an aqueous solution, was successfully synthesized. Then, controlling the DS of retinoic acids induced the tailored size and structure of the self-assemblies by inter/intra molecular stacking of retinoic acids. Retinol is essential for healthy skin, but very unstable in heat, light and air, rendering it useless if overexposed. The retinol was stably incorporated into a core of self-assembled nanoparticle with 10% of DS. This strategy to prepare the self-assemblies of amphiphilic polyaspartamide will serve to improve the efficiency of targeted delivery for a functional cosmetic with various biological modalities.
가교도가 제어된 콜로이드 마이크로겔의 유변학적 물성 분석

본 연구에서는 강도를 조절한 마이크로겔을 사용하여 다양한 점탄성을 갖는 콜로이드 마이크로겔을 제조하였다. 하이드로겔의 화학적 가교제의 함량이 증가할수록 팽윤비는 $2.0{\times}10^4%$에서 $6.0{\times}10^3%$까지 감소하였고, 강도는 22.2 kPa에서 99.7 kPa까지 증가하였다. 이를 $100{\mu}m$ 크기로 분쇄하여 마이크로겔을 제작하였고 이온성 가교결합을 유도하는 분산액과 혼합하여 콜로이드 마이크로겔을 제작하였다. 그 결과, 가교제의 가교도와 분산액에 따라 $10^{-1}rad/s$의 진동수에서 1.679 kPa.s에서 86.485 kPa.s까지 점도를 세밀하게 조절할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 콜로이드 마이크로겔의 물성을 제어하기 위해 하이드로겔의 가교도를 조절 또는 분산액의 종류와 함량을 조절하여 다양한 유변학적 거동을 갖는 콜로이드 마이크로겔을 제조하였다. 물성을 제어할 수 있는 콜로이드 마이크로겔을 사용하여 향후 콜로이드 현탁액 및 유화를 제조하는 화장품, 제약, 페인트 및 식품 산업에서 목적에 따라 적합한 물성을 갖는 콜로이드 마이크로겔을 제조할 수 있다. 자외선 차단 효과가 우수한 3차원 하이브리드 폴리아미노산 자기조립입자 연구

최근 오존층 파괴에 따른 자외선에 의한 피부손상이 크게 대두되면서 썬케어 관련 기능성화장품 개발 및 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 일반적으로 무기입자 및 나노소재를 기능성 화장품에 사용하게 될 때 1차 입자상태를 유지하지 못하고 쉽게 결집 및 응집이 되는 현상이 발생하는 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 3차원 유-무기 하이브리드 자기조립입자를 제조하여 나노물질의 안전성을 향상시키는 실험을 수행하였다. 생체적합성이 높은 아미노산 기반의 생체고분자를 이용하여 자기조립체를 설계하고 조립체의 크기와 형태 등의 물성을 분석하였다. 자외선 흡수 및 차단이 동시에 가능한 폴리아미노산 기재의 하이브리드 자기조립입자는 적은 양의 무기입자로도 우수한 자외선 차단능을 보여주었다.
