        韓國 在來 赤米 蒐集 및 特性 檢定 Ⅷ. 開花 特性

        In order to evaluate the Korean red rices as useful germplasm, ten lines of long grain red rices and ten lines of short grain red rices were tested for flowering characters such as rate of opened floret, angle of opened floret, duration of anthesis and stigma exsertion rate. Rate of opened floret of the red rices was higher than that of cultivars Seomjinbyeo and Samgangbyeo. Angle of opened floret and duration of anthesis of the short grain red rices were significantly higher and longer than those of cultivated variety Seomjinbyeo, however those of the long grain red rices were almost same as those of the cultivated variety Samgangbyeo. Stigma exsertion rate of the red rices was mostly higher than those of the cultivars Seomjinbyeo and Samgangbyeo. Thus flowering characters of the red rices appeared to be more effective for outcross than cultivars.

        $F_2$와 $F_5$ 상관에 의한 벼 Sink 및 Source 관련형질의 유전력 추정

        초다수성 품종 개발의 기초자료로 활용하고자 새로이 도입된 신초형 소얼 수중형 유전자원을 이용하여 F$_2$-F$_{5}$상관에 의한 sink-source관련 형질의 유전력을 추정한 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다. 1. 일품벼에 YR15965 Acp 33이 교배된 F2와 F5세대간 상관정도에 의해 추정된 sink 및 source관련 형질들의 유전력은 specific leaf area, sink-source ratio와 harvest index의 0.009, 0.121, 0.013을 제외한 모든 형질에서 0.224이상의 높은 유전력을 보였다. 2. IR 66738-118-1-2에 가야벼가 교배된 후대에서는 모든 sink 및 source관련 형질이 0.001-0.286의 낮은 유전력을 보였다. 3. Sink 및 source관련 형질들과 수량과는 두 조합 모두 높은 싱관정도를 보였으나 등숙률과는 IR 66738-118-1-2에 가야벼가 교배된 후대에서는 대부분의 형질이 상관이 없었다. 그러나 일품벼에 YR 15965Acp33의 교배 후대에서는 등숙율과 source형질과는 높은 정상관이, sink capacity와 sink-source ratio등 sink형질과는 유의한 부의 상관이 있었다. The heritability of sink-source characters was estimated by regression coefficient between F$_2$ and F$_{5}$ in two crosses of IR 66738-118-1-2/Gayabyeo and the Ilpumbyeo/YR 15965 Acp 33. In order to get the some basic information for breeding of high yielding rice, genetic resources of new plant type with low tiller and heavy panicle were used. Most of the sink and source characters in Ilpumbyeo/YR 15965 Acp 33 cross showed high heritability over than 0.224. But the specific leaf area and sink-source ratio displayed low heritability being 0.009 and 0.013, respectively. Heritability of all sink and source characters in IR 66738-118-1-2/Gayabyeo cross ranged from 0.115 to 0.247. Correlation coefficient between yield and yield components in both combination were in the ranged between 0.001 and 0.247. But correlations among the yield components were not significant. Correlations between the yield and sink-source characters in both combinations were also highly significant. Particularly, correlation between the grain tiling ratio and most of the sink-source characters in IR 66738-118-1-2/Gayabyeo cross were not significant. In Ilpumbyeo/YR 15965 Acp 33 cross, correlations between grain filling ratio and source characters were positively significant. but sink characters (sink capacity and sink-source ratio, etc) were negatively significant.

        Grain quality such as chalkiness, alkali digestion value(ADV) and amylose content of the Korean red rices were tested. Mean degree of chalkiness of the long and short grain red rices was 1.5 and 0.5 respectively. Many of the Korean red rice lines were clear in grain appearance. Mean degree of ADV of long grain Korean red rices was 7.0 and was distributed continuously, however that of short grain red rices was distributed into two groups, one was low ADV group with degree of 1 to 3 and the other was high ADV group with degree of 7 to 9. Mean of amylose content of the long grain Korean red rices was 31.7% with range from 24.0% to 39.0%, however that of the short grain red rices was 27.1%, with range from 15.0% to 39.0%.

        당질미(Sugary Rice)의 이화학적 특성

        본 연구는 쌀의 다양한 용도개발을 위하여 당질미 계통들의 작물학적 및 이화학적 특성을 조사한 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 당질미 계통들의 간장은 평균 90 cm로 남평벼에 비하여 6 cm정도 컸으며 현미 천립중은 $10.2{\sim}22.2g$으로 남평벼보다 가벼웠다. 또한 현미 평균 수량은 $159{\sim}473kg/10a$로서 큰 변이를 보였다. 2. 당질미들의 아밀로스를 제외한 일반성분 및 무기성분의 함량은 대부분의 경우 남평벼보다 많았으며 당함량은 남평벼에 비하여 최저 2.4에서 최고 6.1배 가량의 높은 당함량을 보였다. 특히 다른 당에 비하여 sucrose 함량이 높았다. 3. 아밀로펙틴사슬분포에서 당질미 계통들은 $DP{\leq}12$의 비율이 높고 $12<DP{\leq}24$의 비율이 낮은 것으로 나타나 phytoglycogen 합성이 많아진 것으로 사료되며 또한 호화특성은 대부분의 당질미 계통들은 매우 낮은 점도 특성을 보였다. This study was carried out to investigate the agronomical and physicochemical properties of five newly bred sugary lines in YARI (Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute) that developed from the cross of sugary and Hwayeongbyeo, Hwasambyeo and Seomjinbyeo. Culmlength of newly bred sugary lines were longer than that of Nampyeongbyeo as $84.2{\sim}99.3cm$. However the weight of 1,000 grains and yield were lower than that of Nampyeongbyeo by two to three times. According to physicochemical properties, most of the new bred sugary lines showed low contents of amylose and mineral compare to normal varieties. And all sugary lines showed much higher amount of the sucrose and glucose contents compare to Nampyeongbyeo. Especially the sucrose content of newly bred sugary line, 55413, was 5 times higher than that of Nampyeongbyeo nevertheless, fructooligosaccharide and isomaltooligsac charide were not detected. The amylopectin constitution of sugary lines showed more chairs of DP (Degree of Polymerization)<12 but fewer chains of DP $13{\sim}24$ compare to Nampyeongbyeo. Newly bred sugary lines were lower viscosity in RVA (Rapid Viscosity Analysis).

        열대지역 적응 자포니카 품종의 수발아 특성

        To evaluate pre-harvest sprouting(PHS) characteristics of four Korean japonica rice cultivar, ‘MS11’, ‘Japonica1’, ‘Japonica2’ and ‘Jinmi’, which were developed in order to be adapted to tropical region, one Tongil-type, ‘Segyejinmi’ and one indica, ‘IR72’, we examined the viviparous germination rate(VGR) in growth chamber and field condition at International Rice Research Institute, the Philippines and National Institute of Crop Science, Korea, respectively. As results, VGR of three japonica rice cultivars were higher than that of ‘Segyejinmi’, Tongil-type and ‘IR72’, indica. And the VGR of ‘MS11’, ‘Japonica1’ were lower than that of ‘Jinmi’, parent of former two rice cultivar, meaning that it has more improved than its parent. In particular, among japonica rice cultivar, VGR of ‘MS11’ was the lowest both in temperate and tropical regions and that of ‘Japonica2’ was the highest both areas. However, VGR of those cultivar raised, VGR of tolerant two was still higher than that of indica cultivar. These results showed that in terms of viviparity, PHS tolerant ‘MS11’ and ‘Japonica1’ were suitable for and ‘Japonica2’ was inappropriate to cultivation in the tropical regions.

        캄보디아 육성 주요 벼 품종의 종실 및 이화학적 특성

        This study was carried out to estimate the seed characteristics and quality of rice 36 varieties developed in Cambodian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI). Most Cambodia rice varieties were photosensitive. The thousand grains weight was range 24-31 g, and nonphotosensitive medium rice was higher in 31.4 g, while late rice lowers in 24.2 g. In the grain length was from 7.9 to 10.6 mm, most varieties were extra-long grain type. Grain width was range in 1.77- 2.03mm.The head rice was a significant difference among varieties. The head rice rations were ranged 31-66%. In particular, the Aromatic medium rice was higher of 66.9%, and other varieties were under of 50%. Chalky rates were range of 1.1 - 19.4%. Aromatic medium rice was lower of 1.1%. In contrast, late rice was higher of 3.5%. The protein content range was of 7 - 8%. Overall, most rice were not a significant among varieties. The amylose content range was from 17.2% to 27.3%. Particular, medium rice aroma was lower of 17.2% than in other varieties.

        호주의 쌀 산업 현황과 전망

        1. 호주는 최근 몇 년간 반복된 가뭄과 홍수로 강수량이 불규칙해지면서 쌀 생산에 차질이 있었으며, 평년의 강수량을 기록할 경우 호주의 쌀 생산량은 연간 80 ~ 100만톤 정도 될 것으로 추정된다. 2. 호주의 한국 쌀 수출은 교민시장 위주로 접근하고 있으나, 현지시장에 진입하려면 가격격차를 줄이는 것이 가장 시급하다고 판단되며, 일본에서 수출되는 쌀과 비슷한 수준으로 미국이나 호주 쌀에 비해서 우수한 것으로 인정되고 있다. 3. 최근 호주는 일식이 대중화되는 추세에 부응하여 초밥용쌀 시장을 집중적으로 공략할 필요성이 있다고 판단된다. 4. 호주에서 쌀을 비롯한 우리나라 농산물의 수출이 증가하고 있으나 그를 취급하는 유통업자가 소규모로 분산되어 있어규모화가 필요하다고 판단된다. 5. 한국 쌀 수출증대를 위한 개선방안으로 KOTRA, 농수산식품유통공사 등 현지사무소를 확장하고 우리나라 음식문화와 연계한 마케팅 활동 강화가 요구된다. Australia records approximately 80 ~ 100 tons annual production. However, in recent years, Australian rice production has fallen down due to irregular and repeated droughts and floods. The Republic of Korea exports rice to Australia and the major consumers are Korean immigrants. To enter the local market, it seemed that the most urgent objective to achieve is to reduce the price gap with the imported Japanese rice, which has been recognized as the superior rice compared to local rice and those from United States. Recently, it determined that Australia is in the growing needs of marketing rice for Japanese sushi. The response to this popular trends: The scaling up the size of distributors handling the Korean agricultural products in Australia is required. The expanding networks among KOTRA and aT center as well as the local offices will increase rice exports from Korea. Marketing activities can be leveraged by the harmonized plan for spreading out the Korean food cultural system.

        중만생 기능성 당질미 ‘단미’

        ‘Danmi’, a sugary rice (Oryza sativa L.), was developed by the Department of Functional Crops, NICS, RDA in 2008. This variety was derived from a cross between ‘Sugary’ a genetic stock of germplasm as a source of sugary endosperm and ‘Seomjinbyeo’ in summer of 1994. The pedigree of ‘Danmi’ is YR16541-14-3-1-2-1-1-3-1-1 which was designated as ‘Milyang 227’ in 2005. Heading date of ‘Danmi’ is August 19, a medium-late maturing ecotype. The total sugar content of ‘Danmi’ was 21.7% with fructose (1.16%), glucose (7.87%), sucrose (9.69%), maltose (0.52%), and raffinose (2.13%), respectively. The appearance of grain is flat shape with 1,000 grain of brown rice is 16.1g. The yield potential of ‘Danmi’ in brown rice is 2.58MT/ha at ordinary fertilizer level of local adaptability test from 2006 to 2008. The sugary rice ‘Danmi’ would be adaptable to the plain paddy field of middle, honam and yeongnam province of Korea.

        영남평야지 적응 중만생 고품질 벼 ‘진수미’

        Recently, concerns have been voiced about the high eating quality rice in the market. To cope the high quality demands in rice market, a rice cultivar ‘Jinsumi’ which is showing high grain quality and multi-resistant to diseases was developed by the National Institute of Crop Science, RDA, Miryang, Korea. ‘Jinsumi’ was derived from a three-way cross of ‘Milyang165’ and F1 plant of YR16195-B-B-B-21-1/Milyang169. The pedigree of ‘Jinsumi’ was YR21999-B-B-B-17-3-1 and designated as ‘Milyang 218’ in 2005. Heading date of ‘Jinsumi’ was August 15 as mid-late maturing ecotype. ‘Jinsumi’ showed multi resistant to rice stripe virus (RSV), bacterial blight races of K1, K2, K3 and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. The grain appearance of ‘Jinsumi’ was translucent and showed 96.6% of head rice ratio. The milled rice yield of ‘Jinsumi’ was 5.74 MT/ha at ordinary transplanting of local adaptability test. ‘Jinsumi’ would be adaptable to the plain area of Yeongnam province in Korea.
