Nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) has been used as a novel etching and cleaning gas in semiconductor industry. Recently, the many studies about NF3 decomposition have been performed due to high global warming potential (GWP : 17,000). In this study, the role of conditioning agents such as H2, O2, and H2O (water vapor) in the destruction of NF3 gas using electron-beam technology is assessed in terms of the destruction and removal efficiency (DRE, %). The inlet concentration of NF3 was 1,000 ppm and the concentration of conditioning agents ranged from 250 to 1,500 ppm respectively and electron beam current was 5 mA. From the result, the by-products of NF3 decomposition were NO, N2O, and HF.

A precise measurement of field test was performed to estimate the thermal performance of the forced convection electric air heater by experiment. air temperature, flow rate and electrical power input were measured with the related measurement sensors, and acquisition methods for the measured data were studied to estimate the thermal performance of the tested air heater effectively. To determine the mean air temperature at the flow cross-section, measuring positions were chosen by considering the flow velocity profile and the equally divided cross-sectional area. From the experimental results, thermal efficiency was obtained accurately as an indication of the tested heating system performance.

Oxygen consumption has been regarded as a useful indicator for assessment of mammalian embryo quality. However, there was no standard criterion to measure the oxygen consumption of embryos. Here, we measured oxygen consumption of bovine embryos at various developmental stages was measured using a scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). We found that the oxygen consumption significantly increased in blastocyst-stage embryos compared to other stage embryos (from 2-cell-stage to morula-stage), indicating that oxygen consumption reflects the cell number ( versus , p<0.05). In the morula-stage embryos, the oxygen consumption of in vivo derived embryos was significantly higher than that of in vitro produced embryos ( versus , p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in consumption of oxygen by in vivo and in vitro-derived bovine blastocyst-stage embryos (p>0.05). In the frozen-thawed blastocyst-stage embryos, live embryos showed significantly higher oxygen consumption than dead embryos ( versus , p<0.05). These results indicate that the measuring oxygen consumption by SECM can be used to evaluate bovine embryo quality.

It is not easy for porcine embryos produced by in vitro systems to develop into blastocysts with high quality. To solve this problem, many researchers have developed novel culture methods. However, the formation of blastocysts with high quality is still low. In this study, we aimed to produce piglet following transfer of in vitro produced early embryos ( cell stage embryos) or morula and blastocyst. The cell stage embryos were transferred to five estrus-synchronized recipients (200 embryos per recipient). One of the five sows farrowed three piglets, which contain two live piglets and one dead piglet, 114 days after embryo transfer. However, two recipients transferred with morula and blastocysts did not farrow. Microsatellite analysis confirmed that the genomic DNA of two live piglets were not genetically identical to that of the recipient. These results indicate that it is possible to obtain piglets by transfer of early embryos produced by in vitro production (IVP) systems.

The ebselen has radio-protective effect. In this study, we investigate radio-protective effect of ebselenincorporatednanoparticles using methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(DL-lactide-co-glycolide) copoly-mer (LEsese). Ebselen-incorporated LEses nanoparticles were fabricated by nanoprecipitation anddialysis method. Their radio-protective effect was assessed under irradiation conditions in vitro and invivo. The diameter was around 100 nm with spherical shapes. The ebselen release from nanoparticles wasaccelerated by irradiation dose. It compensated radiation damage against cells. Especially, ebselenincorporatednanoparticles have superior radio-protective effects against animal’s whole bodyirradiation trials. We suggest that LEsese nanoparticles are good candidate for radiation-responsivedrug delivery and radioprotection application.
대형 전기온풍기 정상상태 열적성능의 현장시험에 관한 연구

Polygoum Tinctoria와 합성 인디고 염료의 물리화학적 특성 비교

The natural dye substances appear to have a lot of benefits that enable the dyed materials to exhibit their natural colors. It may have a bit of a harmful influence on the human body itself, in comparison with the synthetic substances. It also causes hardly any environmental pollution because of the natural chemicals and costs much less to disposal. In this study was investigated physicochemical characterization of polygoum tinctoria dye substance and synthetic indigo. Calcium hydroxide was added into polygoum tinctoria leaves to precipitate dye substances and it was freezing dried into powder form. Characterizations of dye substances were investigated by UV/VIS spectrophotometer, TLC, DSC, TGA, HPLC, and MALDI-TOF Mass. Resultantly, polygoum tinctoria was confirmed that is consisted of two ingredients from these results.
