There are many attempts to apply AI technology to diagnose facilities or improve the work efficiency of the power industry. The emergence of new machine learning technologies, such as deep learning, is accelerating the digital transformation of the power sector. The problem is that traditional power systems face security risks when adopting state-of-the-art AI systems. This adoption has convergence characteristics and reveals new cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities to the power system. This paper deals with the security measures and implementations of the power system using machine learning. Through building a commercial facility operations forecasting system using machine learning technology utilizing power big data, this paper identifies and addresses security vulnerabilities that must compensated to protect customer information and power system safety. Furthermore, it provides security guidelines by generalizing security measures to be considered when applying AI.
말차례 시작에 나타난 담화표지어 연구: 영국 영어 대면 대화 코퍼스를 중심으로

This study investigates the types, frequency, and functional distribution of discourse markers (DMs) at turn-beginnings in a corpus of British English face-to-face conversations. The results indicate that the ten most frequently occurred DMs are yeah, mm, well, oh, but, and, no, so, yes, and like in order of frequency. The DMs mm, oh, yeah, yes, and well at turn-beginnings constitute over 50 percent of their total frequency, and they mainly serve the interpersonal function, such as indicating back-channel signals, expressing a response to the preceding discourse, and indicating evaluation. The analysis of functional distribution shows that the most frequent turn-initial function out of three domains, i.e., ideational, textual, and interpersonal domains, is that of back-channel signals in the interpersonal domain. The result can be interpreted as indicating that the interpersonal function is the primary function that DMs serve at turn-beginnings, supporting the fact that this position represents the point of interaction management.
고등학교 영어 교과서와 ELT 교재에 나타난 담화표지어 well 연구

The present study investigates the similarities and differences in the use of the discourse marker well between the listening and speaking scripts of 16 Korean high school English textbooks and those of six ELT coursebooks. Results from the analysis indicate that well as a discourse marker occurs more frequently in ELT coursebooks than in high school English textbooks. A corpus-driven analysis of the functions of the discourse marker well shows that it performs four textual functions, that is, initiation, topic shift, addition of information, and floor-holding. Only a single textual function occurs in 7 out of 16 English textbooks, but does so in one out of six ELT coursebooks. The present study also demonstrates that well as a responsive marker at the interpersonal level appears to be overemphasized in both English textbooks and ELT coursebooks. Findings from the present study suggest that textbooks require more extensive coverage of how the discourse marker well is used in conversation.
산업제어망 보안 컴플라이언스를 위한 패치 영향성 평가 방안에 관한 실증 연구

산업제어망은 대부분 독립된 폐쇄망으로 설치 이후 장기적으로 운영되면서 OS가 업데이트 되지 않아 보안 위협이 증가하고 보안 취약성이 존재한다. 제로 데이 공격 방어에는 최신 패치 적용이 필수로 이루어져야 하지만 대규모 산업망에서는 물리적인 장치를 직접 다루는 특성으로 더 높은 실시간성과 무중단 운영이 요구되기 때문에 실 운영중인 시스템에 적용하기 어렵다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 신뢰로운 패치 적용을 위한 유틸리티사 고유의 패치 영향성 평가가 필요하다. 본 논문은 패치 시험에 대한 개념설계로부터 시스템 구현과 실증적용을 아우르고 있다. 패치영향성 평가 방법론으로서 패치를 적용하기 전과 후의 시스템 고유 기능, 성능, 행위를 기반으로 시험 유형을 분류하고 반복 실험을 통해 패치의 안전성을 판정하는 최대 허용치를 제안하였다. 이후 산업제어망에 직접 적용한 결과 99.99% 가용성을 보장하면서 OS패치가 업데이트 되었다. Most of the industrial control network is an independent closed network, which is operated for a long time after installation, and thus the OS is not updated, so security threats increase and security vulnerabilities exist. The zero-day attack defense must be applied with the latest patch, but in a large-scale industrial network, it requires a higher level of real-time and non-disruptive operation due to the direct handling of physical devices, so a step-by-step approach is required to apply it to a live system. In order to solve this problem, utility-specific patch impact assessment is required for reliable patch application. In this paper, we propose a method to test and safely install the patch using the regression analysis technique and show the proven results. As a patch impact evaluation methodology, the maximum allowance for determining the safety of a patch was derived by classifying test types based on system-specific functions, performance, and behavior before and after applying the patch. Finally, we report the results of case studies applied directly to industrial control networks, the OS patch has been updated while ensuring 99.99% availability.
미국 영어 대면 대화에 나타난 담화표지어 well 연구

This study examines the use of the discourse marker well in a corpus of American English conversation to determine its role in marking structural and interactional functions. In relevance theory, the discourse marker well is seen as a signal that reorients the hearer to a context of assumptions yielding the speaker`s intended interpretation (Blakemore, 2002). Adopting this perspective of relevance theory, this paper shows that the functions that well may serve can be inferred from its encoded procedural meaning together with the assumption that the utterance is the most relevant one compatible with the speaker`s abilities and preferences. Excerpts from the data illustrate how well initiates the speaker`s turn and holds the floor, how it indicates a shift of topic, resumption, and addition of information, how it introduces direct reported speech, and how it signals insufficiency, agreement, and disagreement. Of the ten functions used in the corpus, the most frequently occurred one involves turn management. The discourse marker well in turn-initial positions is also frequently used to express the speaker`s feelings and reactions as a marker of interactional functions.

배전 계통을 대상으로 하는 통신 시스템에 전력통신 (PLC : Power Line Communication)기술을 적용하고자 할 때, 고압 배전선의 통신 채널로서의 특성 분석이 근간이 되어야 한다. 일반적으로 지하 공동구의 배전 지중 케이블에는 케이블-케이블 간의 전기적, 물리적 접촉점인 접속 개소가 일정한 간격으로 존재하게 된다. 그러므로 통신 신호의 매개체가 되는 전력 케이블의 채널 특성분석에는 케이블 접속 개소의 영향도 고려 대상이 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 서울시 광진구 일부의 부하를 담당하고 있는 22.9 ㎸ 고압 배전 지중 선로를 시험 선로로 비접촉식 커플러를 통해 통신신호를 전송하여 삽입 손실 측정 결과를 보았고 케이블 접속 개소의 영향을 주파수 영역에서 채널 특성을 통해 분석 하였다. 시험 결과 케이블 접속 개소를 통과할 때 채널 특성은 십여 ㏈의 신호 감쇄를 보였다.
