For an investigation on the effect of the shape of electrodes in alkaline water electrolysis, two kinds of stack with circular and square electrode array are used to visualize both for behaviors of hydrogen bubble around the electrodes and for measurements of hydrogen production from these two stacks. The electrolytes for the hydrogen production experiment were applied for 20 wt%, 25 wt%, 30 wt% and 35 wt% of KOH alkaline aqueous solutions. As a result, the adhesion length of bubbles attached around the square electrode in the visualization experiment was found to be 1.7 times longer compared with the attached around the circular electrode. In the hydrogen production experiments, the volume of hydrogen production of the stack by using circular electrode array was approximately 3% more than that of the stack with square electrode array. These observations may be caused by the effect of the bubbles attached to the around the electrodes obstructing mass transfer such as hydrogen exhaust and electrolyte supply.

This paper dealt with the evaluation and analysis of corrosion resistance in various environments of STS 304, 304L, 316L, and 317LN. Microstructural analysis was performed using optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. Corrosion resistance in various environments was evaluated by (1) immersion tests such as acid corrosion test, ferric chloride test, and CPT measurement, (2) anodic polarization test, and (3) intergranular corrosion test. The experimental results were summarized as follows: 1. STS 317LN had a better corrosion resistance than STS 316L, 304L, and 304 in 6% FeCl3 immersion test, and CPT of STS 317LN alloy was 40℃ 2. STS 317LN had a better corrosion resistance than STS 316L, 304L, and 304 in several acids immersion test, and it was revealed that 10% oxalic acid would be the most aggressive condition among the oxalic, formic, and acetic acids 3. STS 317LN showed a better corrosion resistance than STS 316L, 304L, and 304 in the anodic polarization tests in several solutions. 4. Mo and nitrogen in STS 317LN had influenced on the properties of the passive film, and then improved the corrosion resistance of stainless steels.
공기 중의 미세먼지에 의한 태양전지의 오염에 관한 연구

The contamination of photovoltaic (PV) cells reduces the incidence of sunlight and reduces the power generation output of PV cells. The main factor influencing the contamination of PV cells installed outdoors is the fine dust in the air, but the influence of temperature, humidity, rain and wind can be considered. In this paper, experiments on the contamination of PV cells according to the fine dust density, the temperature and humidity of air were investigated. As results of this study, the contamination area of PV cells increases with contamination time and cumulative fine dust density in the air. The contamination of PV cells increases when the temperature is low and the humidity is high. Also, as the contamination of PV cells is affected to the wind, the deviation of contamination area is happened.

During last years, hydrogen refueling infrastructure test and devices research for hydrogen station presented a significant growth consisting of the commercialization of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). However, we still have many challenges for making commercial hydrogen stations such as increased safety and cost reduction. This study demonstrates the low cost hydrogen storage tank (type 2) and effective winding method for high pressure hydrogen storage. We use numerical analysis to verify stress changes inside the wire according to the winding condition. Also liner size, winding wire size and wire tension were studied for the safety and cost down. Results show that the stress of winding wire decreased with increased winding angle and increased the liner diameter. On the other hand, the stress of winding wire increased according to the increased wire thickness and tension.

In order to prevent automobile accidents internationally, advanced safety devices are actively being developed. Among them, Auto Emergency Brake (AEB) function and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), which are used to prevent or reduce frontal collision, have been studied for a long time, and are being researched by various manufacturers to develop better performance. In fact, in the case of large vehicles, it is mandatory for AEB to be installed in Korea. Accordingly, a variety of Vehicles equipped with AEB and FCW are coming out, and inspection of these mounting devices is a necessary system in the future. This study confirms how AEB and FCW are currently assessed in regulation and the New Car Assesment Program (NCAP), This is a basic study of the matters to be considered in preparing AEB and FCW inspection standard by checking the performance of vehicles equipped with forward collision protection and identifying the vehicle's sensitivity, range and speed of radar sensors, and target vehicles based on CAN communication data.

농업과 농촌은 우리나라의 근간을 이루는 산업이자 그 산업이 유지되는 공간이었으나, 산업의 규모는 축소되고 농촌 인구는 지속적으로 감소하고 있다. 이와 같은 문제를 해소하고자 농업 장려와 농촌 공간 활성화 사업이 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 4차 산업혁명의 기술력을 도입하여 농업 생산성을 증진시키고, 이를 통해 소득 증대를 위한 노력이 계속되고 있으며, 귀농·귀촌 정책의 활성화로 농업 및 농촌으로 회귀하려는 인구 또한 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 정책 및 정보가 지속적으로 홍보하고 있음에도 불구하고 농업과 농촌은 여전히 젊은 계층에게는 생소하고 기피하는 현상을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일반 국민이 느끼는 농업과 농촌에 대한 인식조사와 젊은 계층을 대표하는 대학생의 인식을 비교하고, 농업계열 전공자와 비농업계열 전공 대학생이 갖는 농업과 농촌에 대한 인식 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 대상학생은 충북대학교 학생 116명을 대상으로 하였으며, 4차 산업혁명의 농업 적용, 농업 및 농촌 정책, 농업 및 농촌 이주 선호도 등에 대한 설문조사를 수행하였으며, 설문방법은 구글 설문과 설문지 배포를 통해 이루어졌다. 설문 결과를 통해 농업 및 농촌 정책에 대한 인지 및 이해의 정도를 파악 할 수 있을 것으로 판단하고, 대학생들의 농업 및 농촌에 대한 선호도 및 기피이유 등을 살펴 볼 수 있을 것으로 판단한다.

This paper presents characteristics of steady flow by variation of a combustion chamber and an intake port. Gas flow field inside a combustion chamber is the important factor in improving combustion stability and reduction of emission level. The flow characteristics such as flow coefficient, tumble ratio and swirl ratio are measured by the steady flow rig test with an impulse meter in this study. In the measuring, the valve lifts are varied between 1㎜ to 10㎜. The three combustion chambers and two intake ports were applied to the steady flow apparatus in order to investigate the effect of swirl and tumble on the in-cylinder flow. As a result, tumble ratio were found to be different by variation of the combustion chambers and the intake ports. The data from the present study can be applied to design of a similar engine as basic data.

As hydrogen is classified as an eco-friendly fuel, vehicles using hydrogen fuel are being developed worldwide. Vehicle fuel hydrogen is stored in cylinders at 70 MPa, so there is a high risk of explosion. Therefore, it is important to inspect hydrogen cylinders in used-vehicles. This study was conducted to improve the inspection method of the cylinders currently mounted on used-hydrogen buses. The inspection method is an image analysis method using a camera. Calcaulation algorithm was developed to quantitatively chech the amount of hydrogen leakage by the image method. As a result of adding a contact angle element to the calculation algorithm suggested by the GTR regulation and comparing it with the experimental data of the GTR regulation, the algorithm reliability was 94%, which secured similarity.
운행 경유자동차의 과급기 장착유무에 따른 매연 검사기준 개선방안 연구

Currently, emission inspections of operating vehicles are regularly conducted to improve the air environment. In particular, diesel vehicles are inspected by measuring smoke in free acceleration smoke test procedure through a smoke meter. In addition, if a turbocharger is equipped, the emission standard is relaxed in free acceleration smoke test procedure inspection. However, most currently vehicles are equipped with turbocharger so the standard is not effective. In addition, it is difficult to identify failure of the diesel particulate filter during the inspection. In this study, analyzed the feasibility of abolishing the emission standard according to the turbocharger equipped status based on the inspection data of domestic diesel vehicles. As a result, the smoke emission average increased by 3% according to the equipped of the turbocharger. However, emission standard application errors were found at the level of 20%. In addition, it is not effective because all vehicles manufactured after 2004 are equipped with turbocharger. and it is difficult to check the failure of diesel particulate filter during the inspection. Therefore, it is considered reasonable to abolish the relaxation of the emission standard of diesel vehicles in free acceleration smoke test procedure.
