        아주대학교 의과대학 환자/의사/사회 과정을 통한 의학전문직업성 교육 경험

        The purpose of this study was to observe how Ajou University School of Medicine runs its curriculum to cultivate professionalism. The paper also proposes a plan for the next step for the school. The Patient-Doctor-Society (PDS) course, begun in 2009, can be summarized by three characteristics. First, the PDS course is an integrated curriculum that is not a one-time program for a specific grade, but a continuous program open for all medical students. Second, the PDS course is designed following the philosophy and educational goals of the institution, and the curriculum assures maximum autonomy. Third, the PDS course is 'whole person education' that provides knowledge and teaches skills and an attitude. By analyzing the pros and cons of the program through annual evaluation, leaders of the program at Ajou will continue to consider what to teach and how to do so.

        불완전 동기 환경에 강인한 OFDMA 채널 추정기법

        We propose a robust channel estimation method against imperfect synchronization in orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) downlink systems. We address time and frequency synchronization, and the channel estimation at the same time, and try to minimize the error propagation from the time and frequency synchronization steps into the chailnel estimation. The simulation results show that the proposed channel estimation method outperforms the conventional algorithms by about 3dB, and circumvents the problem of mismatch among the synchronization tasks. OFDMA 하향링크 시스템에서 시간, 주파수 동기 오프셋이 존재하는 환경에 강인한 채널추정 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 시간 동기, 주파수 동기, 및 채널추정을 동시에 수행하는 방법을 제안함으로써, 시간 및 주파수 동기화 과정에서 생기는 에러가 채널 추정 과정에 주는 영향을 최소화하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 채널추정 기법은 time windowing과 time advancement를 통해서 inter-carrier interference (ICI)와 inter-symbol interference(ISI)를 제거하고 동기화 과정간의 조화를 이룸으로써 기존의 채널추정 기법들에 비해 약 3dB 성능이 향상되었다.

        의과대학생의 자기주도학습 성향 연구 : A의대 사례

        A self directed learning(SDL) has been identified as an important ability for medical graduates. The purpose of this study was 1) to measure the SDLR of medical students, 2) to compare the relationship among the student perceptions of assessment, preference of instructional methods with SDLR. This study was conducted in 2006 at A University College of Medicine. The instrument applied to this study was SDLR. Korean version of Guglielmino's SDLR for Adults. The $SPSSwin^{(R)}$ program was used to analyze the data and statistics such as correlation. F-test, and Chi square test. Firstly. the mean scores of the SDLR of first, second. fourth year were 114.8, 107.9 and 106.2. This results showed a significant relationship among years (p<.001). Secondly the relationship between the student perceptions of assessment and SDLR was insignificant. The SDLR high scores students had a tendency to favorite "Discussion" and "Bedside teaching". This study found out the problems of medical education to enhance self directed learning ability for medical students. Further study is needed so that suitable instructional methods for medical students can be conducted in curriculum.

      • 학습성과중심교육과정에서의 교육과정 설계 탐색

        Outcome based education, a competence based approach at the cutting edge of curriculum development, offers a powerful and appealing way of reforming and managing medical education. The emphasis is on the product that is to say what sort of doctor will be producted rather than on the educational process. In outcome based education, the outcomes are clearly and unambiguously specified such as Tyler's curriculum design. The design of outcome based curriculum plans in the opposite direction, starting with the good doctor and working backwards. Outcome based curriculum offers many advantages as a way of achieving this. It emphasises relevance in the curriculum and accountability and can provide a clear and unambiguous framework for curriculum planning which has an intuitive appeal. It encourages the faculty and student to share responsibility for learning and it can guide the assessment.

        프로젝트 학습을 적용한 공학컴퓨터프로그래밍 수업 효과 연구

        본 논문은 프로젝트 학습을 적용한 공학컴퓨터프로그래밍 수업의 효과를 분석하고 그 문제점을 찾아 수업을 개선하는 데에 목적이 있다. 전통적인 강의 수업과는 달리, 본 공학컴퓨터프로그래밍 수업에서는 프로그래밍 프로젝트를 통하여 공학적 문제들을 해결하게 함으로써 학생들이 문제해결 능력과 팀워크 능력 등을 함양할 수 있도록 하였다. 프로젝트 학습의 효과를 알아보기 위해 수강생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문은 크게 5개 영역(학습효과, 학습량, 능력습득, 과제, 의견), 5점 척도형 문항으로 총 20개였으며, SPSS 통계프로그램을 사용하여 상관분석, ANOVA 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, (1) 프로젝트 학습은 강의식 수업에 비하여 실제 문제를 해결하고 팀워크 능력을 함양하는데 효과적으로 나타났으며, (2) 자기주도학습력과 정보수집력은 유의미한 상관이 있었고, (3) 가상 학습 공간은 자율학습을 하는데 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 (4) 과제의 분배나 학습난이도에 대해서는 부정적인 결과가 나타났다. 결론적으로 좀더 나은 프로젝트 학습을 위해서는 학생의 수준에 맞는 과제를 개발하는 일이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Engineering computer programming instruction using project learning, to find out the ways to solve some revealed problems, and to improve the instruction. Unlike traditional lecture courses, students are encouraged to cultivate problem solving and teamwork skills through the programming project. In order to examine the effect of project learning, a survey was conducted with 49 students. The questionnaire consisted of 20 items with 5-grade scale each, the contents of which included learning value, workload, skills acquirement, assignment and comment. The SPSS, statistical analysis software was used to get statistics such as ANOVA, correlation and mean, etc. The results of this study showed (1) project learning was more efficient to acquire problem solving and teamwork skills compared with lecture learning, (2) there was significant correlation between self directed learning skill and information collecting skill, (3) cyber education system(i-campus) was helpful for students' self learning. But the results also showed that (4) students did not give high scores on items of the workload or difficulty of assignments. So we can conclude that it is necessary to develop the suitable projects for the capability of students to make the better project learning.

      • 의과대학에서의 티칭 포트폴리오 활용 가능성 탐색

        The purpose of the study was to investigate the concept and content of teaching portfolios and to consider the use of teaching portfolios in medical education. The concept of teaching portfolios has several implications and has been used in multiple approaches in teaching-learning processes. The ten foreign universities chosen for this study employ teaching portfolios in their professorship and teaching achievement evaluation as a means of deciding promotions or incentivizing employees. However, domestic universities have not yet implemented this system. It is proposed that in order to improve the quality of education programs, teaching portfolios should be used much more frequently than syllabus. Medical school professors should apply what is called "Copernicus's Thinking" to their teaching preparations.

        심층면담을 통한 의학교육 평가인증 발전과제 탐색

        2000년부터 시행된 의학교육 평가인증은 우리나라 의학교육의 혁신과 질 개선에 견인차 역할을 해왔다. 본 연구는 의학교육 평가인증이 해결해야 하는 과제가 무엇이고 앞으로 어떤 방향으로 나아가야 하는지 심층면담을 통하여 그 발전과제를 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 자체평가 경험이 있는 8명의 대학 구성원과의 심층면담 자료였다. 면담내용은 Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법을 적용하여 질적분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 평가의 내재적 가치 회복, 기준의 타당성 확보, 평가인증 전문가 양성 3가지 주요 과제와 구체적으로 평가의 자기규제, 자율적 질 개선 시스템, 평가지표 개발, 평가기준의 간주관성 제고, 평가위원 조건 강화, 전문적인 평가인증 교육 등 8개의 하위 주제를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 의학교육 평가인증의 타당성과 신뢰성을 제고하고 의학교육의 발전을 위한 방향을 제시하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. The medical education accreditation program of the Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation (KIMEE) implemented since 2000 has driven the innovation and quality enhancement in Korean medical education. This study aims to explore development tasks of medical education accreditation through in-depth interviews about tasks and future visions for the development of the medical education accreditation. The qualitative analysis of interviews with eight university officials with an experience of medical education accreditation was made using Colaizzi’s phenomenological approach. The analysis identified three major tasks such as recovery of intrinsic value of accreditation, securing the validity of accreditation standards, and cultivation of accreditation specialists, as well as eight subsidiary tasks including self-regulation, quality improvement system, development of standard’s indicators, intersubjectivity of accreditation standards, strengthening of qualifications for accreditation committee members, and promotion of professional accreditation education. This study is expected to enhance the validity and reliability of medical education accreditation and guide the future growth of medical education.

        의과대학에서 학생 포트폴리오 활용에 대한 학생들의 혁신저항 요인 탐색

        본 연구는 의과대학 평가방법으로 혁신적으로 도입한 학생 포트폴리오 시행에 대해서 학생들이 느끼는 혁신저항 요인을 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있었다. 연구는 A의과대학 의학과 1학년을 대상으로 환자/의사/사회 수업에서 포트폴리오를 시행한 후 설문조사를 한 결과를 분석하였다. 설문조사는 Ram(1987)의 혁신특성인 상대적 이점, 호환성, 복잡성, 인지된 위험성, 관찰가능성, 시도가능성 등과 관련된 문항이 포함되도록 하여 5점 척도 15개 문항을 개발하여 실시하였다. 설문 결과, 학생들은 학생 포트폴리오의 고유한 특성이나 장점이 무엇인지 정확하게 인식하지 못하고 있었으며, 상대적으로 학생 포트폴리오를 작성하는데 복잡하다고 느끼지는 않았지만, 호환성의 측면에서 포트폴리오가 학생들의 수업활동이나 방식과 잘 맞지 않는다고 생각하고 있었다. 시도 가능성 부분에서는 학생들은 자발적으로 이루어진 것이 아닌 학점이 부여된다는 부담감이 컸으며 지도교수와의 교류를 부담스러워하는 학생들도 있었다. 학생 포트폴리오는 학생들의 참여 없이 학교의 일방적 요구나 제도적 차원에서 이루어지는 프로그램 도입만으로는 절대 성공할 수 없었다. 학생 포트폴리오는 자신을 가장 잘 나타내고자 하는 의도를 가지고 논리적으로 구성되어야 한다. 앞으로 학생 포트폴리오를 활성하기 위해서는 학생들의 저항을 예측하고 대처 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. This study aims to examine the implementation of innovative student portfolio for evaluation of medical school students, in terms of students’ resistance to the portfolio and measures to mitigate such resistance. A portfolio-based student evaluation was conducted in the Patient/Doctor/Society class for freshmen of the A University School of Medicine. The survey consisted of 15 items that included five key characteristics of innovation identified by Ram. The survey results showed that students lacked a clear perception of unique features or benefits of the student portfolio, and overall, students perceived that the new student portfolio was not very beneficial. They did not feel that filling out the portfolio was relatively complex, but in terms of compatibility, they thought the portfolio was not suitable for their learning methods. As for trialability of portfolio, students indicated a significant pressure for the fact that the participation was not voluntary but the students had to fill out the portfolio as class assignment to be graded. Some students felt pressure in sharing the portfolio with their advisors. A new student portfolio should be an outcome of the process that involves a series of decision-making on the structure and contents of the portfolio, as well as its implementation method, backed by students’commitment to best present themselves.

        통합교육에서 문제바탕학습 시행의 문제점 및 그 원인과 개선방향

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the causes of the problems in Problem Based Learning (PBL) program performed in integrated curriculum of Hematology, Seoul National University College of Medicine, 2002, and to determine the improvement strategies for a successful PBL in integrated curriculum. Methods: This study was conducted using qualitative methods with participant observations, descriptive participants, in-depth interviews and an open questionnaire, etc. during the three days two weeks. Ten of 17 tutors including 10 faculty and 7 residents took part in the study. Among the 10 tutors, 7 were the faculty tutors, 3 were the residents tutors. The data was analyzed the causal chains which were developed by Colby. Results: The main problems revealed in implementing of PBL program were a large class size, lacks of tutors, time, budget, faculty education and college authorities interests in undergraduate medical education, etc. The main problem of a PBL program in an integrated curriculum of Hematology was the recruitment of tutors. According to the casual chains analysis, the factors that affected the recruitment of PBL tutors were related to college authorities lack of interest in undergraduate medical education. Conclusion: In order to have successful PBL program in an integrated curriculum, several administrative factors, including extrinsic reward systems such as promotion and tenure decision, and departmental budgetary requirements, should be considered.
