In the information age today, data are getting more and more important. While other industries achieve tangible improvement by applying cutting edge IT technology, the construction industry is still far from being enough. The imperfect methodology integrating cost and schedule data is the fundamental cause behind the times. The purpose of this research is to propose a new method to integrate cost and schedule data using big data technology, still remained as an unsolved assignment in the construction industry. The proposed method is designed to provide data integrity and flexibility in the integration process; considerable time reduction on building and changing database; and practical use in a construction site. It is expected that the proposed method can transform the current way that field engineers regard information management as one of the troublesome tasks into a data-friendly way.

Temporal bone high resolution computed tomogram(TBHRCT)is a essential diagnostic tool in considering for cochlear implantation in patients with profound sensorineural hearing loss. This study was designed for an effort to provide and efficacy of TBHRCT in determination of inner ear malformations for the patients who have profound sensorineural hearing loss and to examine the relationships between TBHRCT findings and other preoperative evalutions for cochlear implantation in that patients. Authors examined 68 deaf patients to provide fundamental data for cochlear implantation. Inner ear abnormalities were founded in 13(19%) patients, among which 10(14.7%) patients had Mondini'dysplasia in which 5 patients were hypoplastic type and 5 patients were hydrops type. Other inner ear abnormalities were as follows : lateral semicircular canal hypoplasia ; internal auditory canal abnormality ; cochlear aqueduct widening ; vestibular aqueduct widening. No relationships were found between TBHRCT findings and other test results. : promontory test, K-WISC cognitive test etc.(Korean J Otolaryngol 39 : 8, 1996)

Insulation and condensation performance evaluation (I&CPE) is an important energy analysis. While considerable amount of data are already represented in a Building Information Model (BIM), the lack of interoperability between BIM modeling and I&CPE programs prevents the simulation process from being efficient and accurate. This study proposes a prototype of a BIM-based I&CPE simulation program, in order to enhance the interoperability between BIM modeling and I&CPE programs. This study discusses the information flow process, defines the required information and its level of detail, develops standardized libraries, and finally proposes a prototype that consists of a data extraction module, conversion module, and performance module. The assurance of interoperability between systems might greatly benefit architects and energy professionals.
