The conducting composites were prepared by emulsion polymerization with poly(acrylonitrile-co-butadiene)(NBR) as a matrix and polypyrrole(PPY) as a conducting polymer. The film of composite was prepared by compression molding. The electrical conductivity was measured by 4 probes method with the amount of PPY and temperature. When the content of PPY was 25 wt%, the electrical conductivity of composite was increased up to 1.17 S/㎝. The percolation threshold showed in the vicinity of 15 wt% PPY content.

The conducting composites were prepared by blending high density polyethylene (HDPE) as a matrix and polyaniline(PANI) as a conducting polymer in xylene. The PANI was protonated with dodecylbenznesulfonic acid(DBSA). The film of composite was prepared by compression molding. The electrical conductivity was measured by 4 probes method with the amount of PANI and temperature. When the content of PANI was 25wt%, the electrical conductivity of composite increased up to 2.62 S/cm. The percolation threshold showed at the vicinity of 15 wt% PANI content.

Among several surfactants, the electrical conductivity of the composite which was polymerized by dodecyl sodium sulfate (DSS) was the best. The film of composite was prepared by compression molding. The electrical conductivity was measured by 4 probes method as a function of PPY and temperature. When the content of PPY was 25 wt%, the electrical conductivity of composite was increased up to 1.17 S/㎝. The percolation threshold showed at the vicinity of 15 wt% PPY content.

A new supported catalyst was prepared by the chemical reduction of Pt compound in a polypyrrole/sulfonated polycarbonate (PPy/SPC) conducting composite. The proton and electron conductivity of the new catalyst was high. The cyclic voltammograms show electrical characteristics which redox reaction was good for new catalyst and conducting composite.
