Analysis of the Information Quality of Korean Obesity-Management Smartphone Applications

Objectives: This study analyzed smartphone obesity-management applications developed in Korea and the quality of the information that they provide. Methods: Obesity-management smartphone applications were searched using the keywords ‘obesity + management,’ ‘weight + management,’ ‘weight + loss,’ ‘weight + exercise,’ ‘weight + diet,’ ‘weight + calories,’ and ‘diet,’ with a search application programming interface (provided by Apple) between September 23 and September 27, 2013. These applications were then classified according to their main purpose, type of interventions used, price, type of developer, and user ratings. The information quality of the applications was analyzed using the Silberg scale. Results: In total, 148 smartphone applications for obesity management were found. The main purpose of most of these applications (70.95%) was to provide information regarding weight control. The most frequently used intervention (34.62%) was to provide information on exercise management. More than half of the applications (58.78%) were free of charge. The mean of users’ rating of these applications was 3.68 out of 5. The quality of information provided by these applications was evaluated as 4.55 out of 9: specifically, 1.79 out of 3 for authorship, 0.22 out of 2 for attribution, 1.29 out of 2 for disclosure, and 1.25 out of 2 for currency. Only three of the applications (2.88%) had a score on the Silberg scale greater than or equal to 7 points. Conclusions: The findings of this study suggest that the quality of information provided by smartphone applications in the healthcare domain urgently need to be evaluated to prevent users being misinformed by these applications.
대인관계증진 프로그램이 대인 외상경험 여중생의 부정적 자기개념, 대인불안 및 또래관계에 미치는 효과

본 연구의 목적은 대인 외상경험 여중생을 대상으로 대인관계증진 프로그램이 부정적 자기개념, 대인불안, 또래관계에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경상남도 김해시 소재 G중학교 1학년 여학생 136명을 대상으로 대인관계문제 검사를 실시하여 상위 30%에 속하는 28명의 학생들을 대상으로 대인관계증진 프로그램 참가의사를 확인한 후 최종 실험집단에 14명, 통제집단에 13명을 배정하였으며, 한 회기 45분씩 총 10회기의 대인관계증진 프로그램을 실험집단에 실시하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단의 부정적 자기개념, 대인불안, 또래관계의 사전-사후검사를 실시하였고, SPSS/WIN+21.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 각 변인별로 실험집단과 통제집단 간 차이를 검증하기 위해 각 집단의 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 공분산분석(ANCOVA)과 다변량공분산분석(MANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 대인관계증진 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단보다 프로그램에 참여한 후 부정적 자기개념과 대인불안은 감소되었으며, 또래관계는 향상되었다. 이러한 주요 연구결과에 대한 논의가 이루어졌고, 주요 시사점이 제시되었다. This study investigated the effects of interpersonal relationship improvement program on negative self concept, social anxiety, and peer relationship of middle school girls with interpersonal trauma experience. We administered an interpersonal relation problem test to 136 students of G middle school in Gimhae, Gyeongnam province and selected 28 students of the top 30% who wished to participate in the program. Among 28 students, we randomly assigned 14 students to experimental group and 13 students to control group. The Interpersonal relationship improvement program was carried out for experimental group for 10 times with 45 minutes in each session. In order to verify the effects of the program, negative self concept, social anxiety, and peer relationships pre-post test was administered in both experimental and control group. To test the difference in each variable’s test score between experimental and control group, analysis of covariance and multivariate analysis of covariance using each group’s pre-test score as a covariate were performed by SPSSWIN 21.0. The results are as follows. Negative self concept and social anxiety of experimental group was more reduced than that of control group. And peer relationship of experimental group was more improved than that of control group. The suggestions of the main results were provided
환경관리해역의 이용개발현황과 수질변화경향 및 영향평가 개선방안

최근 3년간 검토된 환경관리해역에서 이루어진 해역이용협의 건수는 총 60건으로 조사되었다. 환경보전해역에서는 지속적으로 감소하였고, 특별관리해역에서는 증가하는 양상을 나타내었다. 환경관리해역의 개별사업유형을 분석한 결과 인공구조물 설치사업이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였고, 그 외 항만 어항개발, 연안정비 및 해수 인 배수사업유형이 많이 이루어졌다. 환경관리해역에서 국가해양환경정보통합시스템(MEIS) 자료를 활용하여 2006~2017년까지 경년별 수질변화경향을 비교한 결과, COD는 뚜렷한 증감의 변화는 보이지 않았으나 환경보전지역은 다소 증가하였으며, TN과 TP의 농도는 다소 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 특별관리해역인 광양만과 마산만 및 환경보전해역인 가막만에서는 주로 하계에 빈산소수괴가 출현하였다. 이러한 환경관리해역에서의 이용·개발행위가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으므로, 이에 따른 해양환경부문 환경영향평가(해역이용협의)시에는 충분한 수질변화에 대한 실태분석 및 사업추진에 따른 수질영향과 퇴적물의 오염상태를 철저히 진단해서 오염원관리에 대한 대책이 중점적으로 평가되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. 특히, 각 환경관리해역의 지정 목적에 따른 유지 수질목표를 명확히 설정하여, 오염원 및 연안오염총량관리와 연계하여 오염 부하량 저감대책을 제시하여야 할 것이다. The total number of Sea Area Utilization Consultation in the environment management sea areas reviewed from 2015 to 2017 were 60. The number of development projects in the environment conservation sea areas decreased steadily, but special management sea areas increased. Development types in environment management sea areas showed that artificial structure installation was the highest ratio, followed by fishery port development and construction of habor and coastal maintenance and sea water intake and draining. By comparing the trend of water quality changes using marine environment information system (MEIS) data in the environment management areas from 2006 to 2017, COD showed no significant changes but the environment conservation sea areas increased slightly, and the concentration of TN and TP decreased. Gwangyang and Masan bays in the special management sea areas and Gamak bay in the environment conservation sea areas displayed oxygen deficient mass in the summer. As the use of development projects of the environment management sea areas are performed continuously, an analysis of the status of sufficient water quality changes is necessary for environmental impact assessment (Sea Area Utilization Consultation) in the marine environment and should be evaluated mainly for management of contamination by diagnosing thoroughly water quality effects and the pollution of sediment. Especially, the water quality goal for the purpose of designation in each of the environment management sea areas is set clearly, connection with pollution source control and the total pollution load management system (TPLMS) should be proposed and measured to reduce the amount of contaminated water.
