This study examines the persistent decline of the motorcycle industry despite governmental interventions, using the perspective of path dependency. Drawing from W. B. Arthur's concept of 'Lock-in by insignificant historical events', the research delves into the lock-in phenomena within the industry's life cycle. We identified path dependency lock-in categories: contingency, historicity, and technological lock-in. The industry's licensing production method during its embryonic phase led to limited technological capabilities, establishing a technological path dependency. During the currency crisis and in alignment with China's open-door policy, the industry chose to import cheaper components, opting for economies of scale over technological innovation, intensifying the lock-in. Furthermore, the classification of motorcycle as a free industry before the currency crisis resulted in a lack of governmental support. This neglect has continued, with even modern electric motorcycle facing regulation. In conclusion, to overcome this entrenched path dependency and lock-in, significant governmental policy restructuring is essential.

In the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the rise of electric vehicles and personal mobility is evident. However, regulatory authorities seem to overlook vast opportunities, placing two-wheelers in a deregulated category and focusing mainly on regulations. This paper addresses a notable trend in e-mobility, emphasizing aspects often overlooked in traditional motorcycle regulatory research. Using the industrial life cycle theory as a basis, we identify challenges that have affected traditional combustion-engine two-wheelers and offer insights to navigate similar obstacles in the future. Consequently, the domestic two-wheeler market experienced a brief surge but lacked sustainable growth prospects. However, considering Japan's success in establishing global standards and design dominance in the two-wheeler industry despite its late entry, there appears to be potential for a rebound in the domestic market.
황(黃) 원료(原料)로서 pyrite와 chalcopyrite를 사용(使用)한 matte 상(相)의 제조(製造) 및 침출특성(浸出特性)

Artificial mattes were prepared with adding pyrite or chalcopyrite as sulfur sources with Cu-Ni-Co-Fe alloy. The major phases identified by X-ray diffraction pattern were $(FeSi)_9S_8$, $CuFeS_2$, FeS, $Co_4S_3$, $Ni_3S_2$ and $Cu_2S$ for both mattes, and the matte prepared by adding chalcopyrite showed the higher peak of $Cu_2S$ due to high content of copper. Under optimum conditions, more than 95% copper, 90% nickel and 90% cobalt were extracted into leaching solution and sulfur concentration in the mattes did not much affect the leaching efficiency of the metals. The increase of the amount of pyrite or chalcopyrite added decreased pH in leaching solution and increased the concentration of iron ion dissolved in the leaching solution and the amount of residue. Cu-Ni-Co-Fe 함금상에 황의 원료로서 pyrite 또는 chalcopyrite를 첨가하여 매트상을 제조하는 방법에 대하여 검토하였다. 두 매트상 모두 주성분은 $(FeSi)_9S_8$, $CuFeS_2$, FeS, $Co_4S_3$, $Ni_3S_2$ 그리고 $Cu_2S$의 금속황화물 이었으며, chalcopyrite를 첨가한 매트의 경우 구리의 함량이 높아 $Cu_2S$의 피크가 더 높게 나타났다. 제조한 매트상의 침출 결과 모두 구리는 95%이상, 니켈과 코발트는 90% 이상의 침출율을 보였다. Pyrite와 chalcopyrite 첨가량이 증가할수록 침출액의 pH는 낮아지고, 용해되어 있는 철이온의 농도와 잔사량은 증가하였다. 한편 매트 중 황의 함량변화에 따른 유가금속의 침출율은 모든 시료에 대해 크게 변하지 않았으며, 다만 pyrite를 이용하여 제조한 매트의 경우에 Ni과 Co가 황 함량 증가에 따라 다소 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다.

The patents were searched to investigate the trend and the direction of technologies about chalcopyrite metallurgy. Database was collected using WIPS site, and supported by USPTO, PAJ, EPO and KIPRIS. Among the database collected using chalcopyrite as keyword, after the patents related with semiconductor were deleted, 127 patents were selected investigating abstracts. The patents from 1974 to 2004 were analyzed according to countries, international patent classification (IPC), companies, and technologies. Unite states has the most patents among countries investigated and the most companies to apply the patents about chalcopyrite metallurgy. Patents about bacterial leaching is the most among patents of leaching technologies. 황동광 제련에 대한 관련 기술의 추이 및 동향을 조사하기 위하여 특허 출원 검색을 실시하였다. 특허 검색 데이터베이스는 국내 WIPS사의 특허검색 사이트를 이용하였으며, 미국의 USPTO, 일본의 PAJ, 유럽의 EPO 그리고 한국의 KIPRIS를 참고하여 보완하였다. 검색 키워드는 황동광과 chalcopyrite로 하였으며, 반도체(semiconductor)와 관련된 특허를 제외한 후, 특허 요약문을 분석하여 127건을 선정하였다. 특허 분석은 1974년부터 2004년까지의 특허를 주요 국가별, IPC 분류별, 주요 출원인(회사)별 그리고 관련 기술별로 분류하여 분석하였다. 특허출원국 및 출원인 국적 분석에서 미국이 가장 많은 특허출원 건수를 나타내고 있으며, 침출기술 중에서는 미생물 침출기술이 가장 많았다.
