        긍정적 부모양육태도가 청소년의 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 차별적 영향

        This study aims to investigate the differential effects of positive parenting attitudes (parental attachment and parental monitoring) on adolescents`` psychsocial adjustment(depression and aggression), and to examine the mediating effects of school adjustment and academic stress on relationship between each parenting attitude style and adolescents`` psychsocial adjustment. For this purpose, the 4th wave data from Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) administered by National Youth Policy Institute were utilized. Total 2,069 second-grade academic high schoolers`` data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, both parental attachment and parental monitoring had positive effects on school adjustment, whereas only parental attachment had negative effect on academic stress. Second, school adjustment made negative effects on both depression and aggression when academic stress had positive effects on them. Lastly, the results of effect decomposition showed that adolescents`` depression appeared to be affected through parental attachment while aggression appeared to be affected through parental monitoring. Moreover, the comparison result of indirect effect size, parental attachment had higher effect on depression while parental monitoring had higher effect on aggression. In this study, it has been proven that the developmental pathways from parental attachment and parental monitoring to adolescents`` psychsocial adjustment mediated by school adjustment could be operated differentially depending on whether positive parenting attitudes style are related to attachment or monitoring. Based on the research findings, practice and policy implications for youth welfare were discussed.

        대학생 삶의 만족도에 관한 변화궤적유형과 예측요인

        This study aims to identify the types of the trajectories of college students’ satisfaction with life through a person-centered approach, and to investigate the predictors of the trajectories of their satisfaction with life (personal environmental factor, college life stress factor, and scholarship support factor), considering their internal and external environments. Participants in this study were 1,110 college students, who had taken part in the 1st Wave through the 3rd Wave of Korean Scholarship Panel Surveys (KOSAPS). The latent class growth analysis was utilized to examine the trajectory types of college students’ satisfaction with life. Also, the multinomial logistic analysis was conducted to identify the predictors of the trajectory types of college students’ satisfaction with life. Results showed the trajectory types of college students’ satisfaction with life were divided into a total of three latent classes, stable increase class, stable reduction class, and sharp reduction class. The predictors were put into the three classified latent classes, and consequently, the not-low-income group and the students with high career stress had a higher probability of belonging to the stable reduction class than to the stable increase class. Next, in the not-low-income group, college students who had high academic stress were more likely to belong to the sharp reduction class than to the stable increase class. In contrast, of four-year college students, those who had received one national scholarship were more likely to belong to the stable increase class than to the sharp reduction class. Based on these results, suggestions were made for establishing evidence-based policies and developing related programs in the dimension of the promotion of college students’ satisfaction with life.

        사회복지전공 대학생들의 청년복지에 대한 인식과 경험 탐구

        사회복지전공 대학생들의 사회현안과 복지 관련 인식 및 경험에의 탐구는 사회복지학을 위시한 사회복지 교육현장에 중요 함의를 제공할 수 있다. 하지만 그동안에는 사회복지전공대학생들이 청년복지에 관해 어떻게 인식하고 경험하는지 구체적으로 밝혀진 바가 부족하였다. 본고는 이 점을 심도 있게 탐구하기 위한 목적에서 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 자료는 총 7명의 20대 남녀 대학생과 평균 4회에 걸친 개별 심층면담으로 수집했고, 이를 Giorgi(1985)의 기술적 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 자료분석 결과, 총 77개의 의미단위와 16개의 하위범주를 발견했다. 이에 기반해서 ‘더 알고 싶은 청년복지’, ‘현실 걱정에 밀린 청년복지’, ‘발달로 다가가는 청년복지’, ‘당사자를 포괄하지 못하는 청년복지’, ‘연대와 배려를 일깨우는 청년복지’라는 5개의 상위범주를 도출하였다. 최종적으로, 일반적 구조적 기술을 토대로 연구주제에 관한 연구참여자들의 인식과 경험에 대해 총체적 이해를 풍부히 도모하고자 했다. 끝으로, 연구결과에 바탕을 두어 몇 가지 논의사항을 제시하고 향후 과제를 위하여 제언하였다. An exploration of the perceptions and experiences of social issues and welfare among college students majoring in social welfare can provide important implications for the field of social welfare education, including social welfare studies. However, little research has revealed concrete findings up until now, resulting in a lack of information on how college students majoring in social welfare recognize and experience youth welfare. In this study, we performed qualitative research in order to investigate this research question intensively. The data were collected through individual in-depth interviews with a total of seven male and female college students in their 20s, who were interviewed four times on average, and the data was then analyzed with Giorgi (1985)’s descriptive phenomenological research method. The data analysis resulted in the finding of 77 meaning units and 16 sub-categories. Based on these categories, five upper categories were drawn, including, ‘Youth welfare I would like to know more about,’ ‘Youth welfare that gets behind concerns about reality,’ ‘Youth welfare approaching development,’ ‘Youth welfare which does not include the interested parties,’ and ‘Youth welfare which promotes solidarity and consideration.’ Lastly, based on the general structural descriptions, this study would abundantly promote a comprehensive understanding of the research participants’ perceptions and experiences of the research subjects. Finally, we conclude with the proposal of a few discussion topics and suggestions for future follow-up studies based on our analysis of the research results.

        반수로 대학에 진학한 후기 청소년들의 진로발달 경험 : 도돌이표를 지나도 반복되는 길

        This study aims to investigate the career development experience of youth in late adolescence who entered a different university after taking a semester off (as known as Bansu in Korean), in depth, applying a phenomenological research method. For the research, this study selected seven adolescents as research participants to reveal the essential meaning of their experience, vividly. The data were analyzed by Giorgi`s method to draw components of the experience of research participants. As a result of the research, the career development experience of youth in late adolescence who entered a different university after taking a semester off was systematized into 19 sub-categories and structured into four main categories: “high school years in which academic record was more important than aptitude”, “the step away from the dream, being forced to proceed to college”, “the time of study to take the exam again, which was an advantage and disadvantage at the same time” and “the wish unfulfilled even with the success of entering a different university.” It turned out that the main topic was “the repeated way even after passing the repeat sign.” They took the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) once again and came back to the narrow way to enter a prestigious university, but they still compromised the standard made by the older generation. This study has significance for late adolescents` welfare and happiness in that it explored the in-depth meanings of the career development experience of youth who entered a different university by taking the CSAT again after taking a semester off. Lastly, based upon the situation of the increase in the number of students who take the CSAT again, this study suggested better measures for career development during adolescence and the promotion of their quality of life.

        학습의 자기주도성은 학업성취 이외에 대인관계에도 영향을 미치는가?

        Self-direction in learning has been strongly emphasized nowadays. This study raises a new issue of the fact that there is relatively less interest in its spillover effects of self-direction on interpersonal relationships of adolescents. Especially this study attempts to empirically prove that self-direction in learning could affect not only academic achievement but also interpersonal relationships. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to examine the effects of self-direction in learning on academic achievement and interpersonal relationships in school(peer and teacher relationships) mediated by self-esteem among middle schoolers. The 3rd wave data of 2,258 adolescents from ‘2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS)’ administered by National Youth Policy Institute were utilized and statistically analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The major findings of the research were as follows: First, self-direction in learning had positive effects on both academic achievement and interpersonal relationships in school. Secondly, a significant positive relationship was found between self-direction in learning and self-esteem, and self-esteem was positively involved in both academic achievement and interpersonal relationships in school. Lastly, according to the results of effect decomposition, total effects in the relationships between self-direction in learning and academic achievement as well as interpersonal relationships in school were both statistically significant. Moreover, academic achievement appeared to be affected most through self-direction in learning in terms of direct effect while peer relationships appeared to be affected most through self-direction in learning mediated by self-esteem indirectly. Based on the results, youth welfare practice implications for improving academic achievement and interpersonal relationships of middle school students were discussed.

        아동양육시설 남성 생활지도원의 직무경험: 뫼비우스의 띠 위를 걸어가는 남자들

        This study aims to understand job experiences of male caretakers in child residential institutions, in depth through a phenomenological research method. For this purpose, 10 male caretakers working in child residential institutions were selected as research participants to conduct in-depth interviews, and in the context of their job environment, an understanding of the essential experiences as male caretakers was attempted. The collected data were analyzed based on Giorgi’s phenomenological approach, and components of the research participants’ job experiences were drawn. As a result of the analysis, the compositional elements in this study turned out as follows: 〈In spite of an equivocal position as minorities, being precious as ‘light and salt’〉, 〈Understanding each other without saying a word with colleagues, though not always looking at the same direction〉, 〈Despite inferiority complex as a man, taking care of children like their father〉, 〈Struggling with difficulty, but feeling great about changes in children〉, 〈Finding ‘myself’ in the children, sometimes feeling somewhat distant, though〉and 〈In spite of the future shaken by anxiety, wanting to be a family with children〉. The fundamental theme was 《Like walking on a Mobius strip, oscillating continuously between ‘darkness’ and ‘brightness’》. In these people’s job experiences, male caretakers’ ‘indigenousness’ appeared along with ‘universality’ as caretakers, in which research participants were coming and going constantly between both extremes of ‘positivity’ and ‘negativity’. ‘Negativity’ they experienced, rather, came from biased role expectations by the gender stereotype projected from the outside, and they were offsetting this through the ‘positivity’ they experienced as child care service providers. Nevertheless, such ‘positivity’ resulted in a sequential process in which it came across ‘negativity’, and vice versa. Based on the research results, this study proposed the urgency of the promotion of job stability as well as the improvement of social recognition about caretakers at child residential institutions and the creation of a gender-equal job environment.

        대학생들의 반수 좌절 경험의 의미

        대학생들의 반수 좌절 경험의 의미를 이해하는 것은 사회복지 전문가들이 변화된 대학생 당사자들의 문화를 민감하게 반영해 삶의 질 증진을 도울 기초적 작업이 될 뿐만 아니라, 대학생 집단의 행복지원 목적의 사회복지학 유관 학문 간 융합 연구를 가능하게 하는 토대가 된다. 본 연구에서는 그간 입시 성공 사례가 아니어서 잘 드러나지 않았던 대학생들의 반수 좌절 경험의 의미를 심도 있게 탐구하고자, 대학생 총 5명과 종단적으로 심층면담하였다. 수집한 자료는 Colaizzi의 체험적 현상학적 연구방법에 기반하여 살펴보았다. 자료를 분석한 결과, 총 16개의 주제와 함께 “도망칠 곳을 먼저 찾음”, “시작부터 잘못된 재도전”, “자괴감에 억눌린 채 복학함”, “반수 트라우마로 멈춘 성장”, “쓰라림으로 깊어진 내 인생”이라는 5개의 범주를 발견했다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 반수 증가 현상 및 한국의 대학 서열화 문제에 관한 재고찰과 더불어 대학생 시기의 건강한 발달과업 수행을 지원하기 위하여 논의점을 제공하였다. Understanding the meaning of university students" experience of frustration at bansu will not only serve as a basic task for social welfare experts to help improve quality of life by reflecting the culture of changed college students, but will also provide the foundation for the convergence of social welfare-related studies for the purpose of supporting happiness of college students. This study conducted an in-depth interview with five university students longitudinally to explore the significance of university students" experience of frustration at bansu, which has not been well demonstrated since it was not a successful case in the past. The data collected were explored with Colaizzi"s empirical phenomenological research method. As a result of the data analysis, with a total of 16 topics, five categories, including “looking for an escape first”, “a wrong re-challenge from the beginning”, “return to school suppressed by shame”, “stalled growth due to bansu trauma”, and “my life deepened by bitterness” were discovered. Based on this research result, this study provided discussion points to support the healthy performance of development tasks during university years, along with the reconsideration of the increasing bansu phenomenon and the university hierarchization issue in South Korea.

        문화예술 진로교육으로 꿈을 찾은 아이들

        문화예술 분야의 진로를 희망하는 아동이 소중한 꿈을 발견하고 개발하는 것은 행복하고 건강한 발달을 도모한다는 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 하지만 문화예술 분야의 꿈을 키워가는 아동의 진로개발 경험에 관한 연구는 많지 않다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 문화예술 진로교육에 대한 아동의 경험을 살펴보려는 목적에서 수행되었다. 이를 위해 CJ도너스캠프의 꿈키움창의학교에 참여한 총 9명의 아동을 연구참여자로 선정하여 초점집단면접(FGI)을 실시한 후 수집된 자료를 질적 분석하였다. 자료분석 결과, 총 18개 의미단위와 7개 하위주제를 통해 연구참여자들의 경험이 드러났다. 이들은 “문화예술가가 될 미래에 설렘”, “성공하기 힘들다며 어른들이 무시함”, “슬럼프에 빠져도 다시 일어남”, “실기에 주력할수록 장벽에 둘러싸임”, “또래로부터 위안을 얻음”, “응원해주는 이들이 있기에 버팀”, “드넓은 문화예술의 세계로 한걸음 더 다가감”의 경험을 하였다. 연구참여자들이 경험한 핵심주제는 “문화예술의 꿈이 미래를 열어줌”인 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 지속적인 문화예술 진로교육 지원 보장, 맞춤형 문화예술 진로지원프로그램 제공, 지역사회에 기반을 둔 학교와 민간영역 간 긴밀한 협조체계 구축, 문화예술 분야에서 진로개발을 하는 아동에 대한 사회적 관심 및 인식개선의 시급성 등을 제언하였다. For children who hope careers in the field of culture and art, it is important for them to find and develop their dreams, which will promote a happy life and healthy development. However, there is a paucity of research on the career development experiences of children who have dreams of a career in the field of culture and art. Thus, this study was conducted to look into children"s experiences of culture and art career education. For this purpose, we selected nine children who participated in Dream Building Creativity School of CJ Donors Camp, conducted a focus group interview (FGI), and carried out a qualitative analysis. Results showed the participants" experiences through a total of 18 meaning units and 7 sub-topics: “feeling thrilled for the futurewhen they become cultural artists”, “ignored by adults who stated that they would neverbe successful”, “falling into a slump but getting back up again”, “surrounded by obstacles as they focused on practical skills”, “comfort from their peers”, “endurance due to cheering from people around”, and “taking a step forward into the wide world of culture and art”. The key theme that the participants experienced was, “My dream for culture and art opens my future”. Based on these results, this study suggested the following: the continuous assistance of culture and art career education; the provision of customized culture and art career support programs; the construction of a close cooperation system between schools and the private sector in the community; and the improvement of societal interests about and awareness of children who develop careers in the field of culture and art.
