해외자회사의 전략적 역할과 시장지향성 및 경영성과 간 관계성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 해외자회사의 차별화된 마케팅활동과 독자적인 경쟁우위 창출・유지할 핵심역량을 개발하기 위한 목적으로 베트남진출 우리나라 168개 제조업을 대상으로 실시하였다. Rumeit의 SSP Paradigm에 따라 전략적 역할(통합과 적응)과 시장지향성 활동(MARKOR), 경영성과 간 관계성을 비롯한 본사의 전략적 수행의지가 가진 조절효과를 검증하였다. 검증결과 해외자회사의 전략적 역할은 현지시장에서의 시장지향성에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향력이 나타났다. 특히, 본사가 세계화 지 향인 통합 활동을 강조할 경우 시장지향성은 동일한 정체성 유지를 위해 전략반응과 정보공유에 집중하며, 현지화에 초점을 둘 경우 정보획득과 전략반응에 집중하고 있다. 또한, 시장지향성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향력도 유의미한 정(+)의 관계성이 나타났으나, 시장지향성의 세부적 활동인정보획득과 전략반응은 정(+)의 영향력을 보인 반면 정보공유는 부(-)의 영향력을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 베트남시장의 이질 문화와 경영환경 및 대상기업 산업유형 차이에 기인된 것으 로 추정되었다. 한편, 전략적 역할과 시장지향성의 관계성에서 본사의 전략적 수행의지는 낮은 집단과 높은 집단 모두에 정(+)의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 그러나 시장지향성과 경영성과 간에는 낮은 집단에서는 정(+)의 조절효과가 있는 반면 높은 집단에서는 유의미한 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이는 본사의 전략적 의지가 높을수록 해외자회사의 시장지향성 활동은 능동적으로 추진되어 경영성과에 직접적 영향력을 미치는 것이지 조절효과와는 관련이 없다는 것이다. 따라서 해외자회 사의 독자적인 경영우위를 창출・유지를 위한 시장지향성 활동은 해외자회사의 전략적 역할에 따라차이를 보이며, 정보획득과 전략반응은 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향력을 미치고 있다. 또한 해외자회사에 대한 전략적 수행의지는 낮을수록 시장지향성 활동과 경영성과에 조절효과가 높게 나타남을 확인하였다. The purpose of this study are the relationships of the strategic role, market orientation, business performance among the 168 Korean foreign subsidiaries in Vietnam which was used the I-R mode and the MARKOR. In addition, the HQ' strategic commitment(management autonomy) also examined the moderating effect among three factors. The empirical results are as follows. First, if corporate strategy is to emphasize the globalization-oriented integration activities, market orientation is focused on strategic responses activities and information sharing activities in order to maintain corporate identity. If corporate strategy is to emphasize the localization- oriented responsiveness activities, market orientation is focused on obtaining information activities and strategies responses activities. Second, a result of examining the impact of market orientation activities on business performance, obtaining information activities and strategies responses activities are positive influence while information sharing activities showed a negative influence on business performance. The cause is presumed to have been caused by different culture and business environment and the companies industry types in Vietnam market. Finally, the moderating effect of HQ's strategic commitment was found a significant moderating effect in low-intented group while it did not show a moderating effect in high-intented group. This means that the higher management autonomy of overseas subsidiaries that are actively promoting market orientation activities are actively promoted, and directly effects the impact on business performance.

The purpose of this research paper is to review and extend the integration-responsiveness(I-R) model of subsidiary strategy, which is proposed by the Jarillo and Martinez(1990) and Taggart (1998), based on the data from a survey of 59 manufacturing subsidiaries in Korea. It seeks to clarify the determinants of strategic positioning and identify the concomitant of strategy stability and strategy transformation. This will include a comparative evaluation of the previous researches together with a similar appraisal of the extensions proposed here. The notion underlying this approach is that, while much has been done to elucidate the area of subsidiary strategy, significant development in our analytical tools and mechanisms will be necessary if we are to come closer to understand and interpreting the dense configuration of dimensions confronting the subsidiary manager. The key finding of this research is the identification of a group of firms, is located in each of the four quadrants(quiescent, receptive, active, autonomous) of the I-R framework. There exists a group of 21 autonomous subsidiaries in the high I-high R quadrant of the framework and locates a group of 17 quiescent subsidiaries in the low I-low R quadrant of the framework. This research identify two variables, export propensity and R&D complexity, to affect the separator of the four clusters. It may therefore conclude that the four- cluster solution is robust and that it distinguishes clearly the four groups of affiliates. In particular, active subsidiaries are lower related with H.Q in export propensity and R&D complexity than others. In a subsidiary`s strategy transformation, there are a balance of 44(75%) firms that had changed strategy throughout the 5-year interval. And the active subsidiary` strategy firms are the better performance in the competitive advantages and profits than others. Characteristics of the quiescent affiliate type are explored, and the determinants of strategy stability and strategy transformation over time are evaluated. It is concluded that differences between the extended model and the original may lie in basic strategic differences between Spanish, U.K, and Korean affiliates.

Capacitor Charging Power Supply(CCPS) is one of the most important components of a pulsed power system. The CCPS is widely used in source of lasers, accelerators and plasma generators. This paper presents design of a dead time control circuit and operation characteristics for stable high repetition rate of high voltage CCPS. The CCPS consists of battery, high voltage transformer and controller with a dead time control circuit. A dead time control circuit was simulated by PSpice. The performance test of the CCPS was carried out with a 7[nF] load capacitor at output voltage of 50[kV] and a pulse repetition frequency of 100[Hz]. As a result, we can verify that charging and discharging waveform is stable at 100[Hz]. The experiment results indicate that 3[ms] dead time made it possible for stable high repetition rate of 100[Hz]. This paper paves the way for designing an advanced CCPS which is more applicable outside experiments.
