Objectives: This study aimed to identify and assess the factors related to the awareness, treatment, and control of hypertension based on jurisdictional areas of primary health care posts in a rural community of Korea. Methods: This study was performed on 4598 adults aged over 30 years in a rural community and we measured their blood pressure (BP) from October. 2007 to August. 2009. Hypertension is defined as a condition characterized by a systolic BP ${\geq}$ 140 mmHg, a diastolic BP ${\geq}$ 90 mmHg or reported treatment with antihypertensive medications. We analyzed the factors related with the prevalence, awareness, treatment and control of hypertension using chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: The age-adjusted prevalence of hypertension was 34.7%. The age-adjusted rates of hypertension awareness, treatment and control were 50.6%, 93.9% and 64.1%, respectively. Awareness of hypertension was related with increasing age. Higher awareness was found among men who were felt more stress, were obese and had hypercholesterolemia, and among women who were regulary taking medicine for hypertension, were obese and had diabetes mellitus. In women, the hypertension treatment was related a Medical aid and education for hypertension management. Controlled hypertension was more common among men who were educated about the management of hypertension and among women who had hypercholesterolemia. Conclusions: The awareness of hypertension was low and the control of hypertension was high compared with the nationwide data (KNHANES 2005). The results suggest that understanding the characteristics of hypertension in a community is important to perform a community based hypertension control program.

Ingestion of plant material rarely manifest in clinical intoxication. This is due to the relatively low toxicity of most plants in Korea. But, veratrum is an important plant on account of its highly toxic alkaloids. Five cases of Veratrum grandiflonum mass poisoning are described. Clinical symptoms occurred quickly, within 30 min. Vomiting, a fall in blood pressure and bradycardia was observed. Treatments in the emergency department included gastric lavage, activated charcoal, and administration of atropine and dopamine for bradycardia and hypotension. Although one of them experienced profound hypotension, bradycardia and mental change, the outcomes were favorable in all cases, producing a complete cure without any sequellae at discharge.

This study focused on the analysis of development trends for large-scale amphibious ships of major nations to discharge multi-purpose mission. Multi-functional based naval vessels that (an be fulfill their various missions such as asymmetric threats by a small-fast and armed boat suicide terror, anti-access threats of terrorism, control the illicit drug and weapons, mop up the pirate, maintain maritime security as well as anti-surface warfare, anti-air warfare, anti-submarine warfare and various missions have been constructed at the present day, Multi purpose aircraft carrier force is acutely required at the area that combined and expeditionary operation are needed, however same function may be not displayed comparing with aircraft carrier, large-scale amphibious ship that is feasible power deployment and war potential capacity commitment(aviation force, well-trained force of landing warriors ere) by reason of astronomical budget were under construction and deployed. In addition, massive large scale amphibious ships are undergoing transfiguration to multi-purpose. It is spared no effort to develop the landing ship in order to discharge multi-purpose mission in America, Europe and Asia including Japan navy, diverse aviation forces loading are so getting reinforce as to be accomplish the function of aircraft carrier in time of emergency situations.
탄산화가 진행된 기존 RC구조물의 보수 공법 적용 후 탄산화 진행 예측

본 연구에서는 탄산화가 이미 진행된 콘크리트 구조물을 대상으로 촉진 탄산화 실험을 실시하였다. 각 보수재별 탄산화 속도계수를 도출 후 보수후의 탄산화 진행 예측식을 이용하여 탄산화 진행 예측한다. 또한 신뢰성 확보를 위하여 FDM과 FEM 해석을 통한 탄산화 깊이 예측을 비교했다. 그 결과 보수후 탄산화 예측식을 이용하면 탄산화 깊이를 예측할 수 있으며, 초기 Ca(OH)<sub>2</sub> 농도 40%로 가정할 때 해석 값과 실험값이 거의 유사함을 알 수 있었다. Carbonation of concrete is being occurred due to interaction of atmospheric carbon dioxide with hydroxides. Reinforce concrete (RC) structure is getting collapse or accident due to corrosion of embedded steel rebar. The maintenance of reinforced concrete structure recently has the attention of researchers regarding durability of structure and its importance day by day is increasing. In order to study the carbonation progress of pre-repaired concrete, present study was carried out to measure the carbonation velocity for different repair materials up to 100% of carbonation. The obtained results have predicted the carbonation progress of repair materials in service condition. These results have been verified by FEM and FDM analysis. As a result, the carbonation depth can be predicted by using the carbonation prediction formula after the repair, and the analytical and the experimental values are almost similar when the initial Ca(OH)<sub>2</sub> concentration is assumed to be 40%.
