T'he electrical insulative life of cross-linked polyethylene used as an insulating material in power cable is predicted in this paper. The experiment is progressed velocity theoretically. In this experiment, supplied experimental voltage under the condition of equivalent temperature, and then Arrhenius equation is applied. To get the span of life vs. temperature characteristics, the relation between the logarithm value of life and the reciporical of temperature are extended as a straight line, after that the span of life is predicted. In case of raising the temperature of sample linear type, to get the breakdown temperature vs. raising velocity of temperature characteristics, after developed the Arrhenius equation a little more, Predcted the span of life about cross-linked polyethylene semi-theoreticalliy. The results of this experiment are as follows: 1) The experimental values for the prediction of the span of life between at the case of equivalent tamperature and variable temperature are a little different. 2) The phenomenon of insulation breakdown which is based upon Tree breakdown can get by ineans of the velocity theory. 3) To get the life characteristics, the velocity theory is applied, The theoretical values and experimental values are aimost equal. Therefore, the propriety ut above method is confirmed

This article proposes a practical approach, which is based on the concept of the expected squared relative error, that can consider both the prediction quality and the practitioner's subjectivity in simultaneously optimizing multiple responses. Through a case study, multiresponse optimization using the expected squared relative error approach is illustrated, and the SAS program to implement the proposed method is provided.
