Objectives: This experiment was designed to investigate the effect of the Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder on microglia and memory deficit model Methods: The effects of the Hwanso-dan hot water extract on expression of IL-1β , IL-6, TNF-α mRNA and production of IL-1β , IL-6, TNF-α in BV2 microglial cell line treated by lipopolysacchaide were investigated. The effects of the Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder on the behavior of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine and uric acid & AChE in serum of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine were investigated. Results: 1. The Hwanso-dan hot water extract suppressed the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α mRNA in BV2 microglial cell line treated by lipopolysacchaide. 2. The Hwanso-dan hot water extract suppressed the production of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α in BV2 microglial cell line. 3. The Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder decreased uric acid and AChE significantly in the serum of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine. 4. The Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder groups showed significantly inhibitory effect on the scopolamine-induced impairment of memory in the experiment of Morris water maze. Conclusions: This experiment shows that the Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder might be effective for the prevention and treatment of Memory deficit disease. Investigation into the clinical use of the Hwanso-dan hot water extract & ultra-fine powder for Alzheimer`s disease is suggested for future research.

Abstract: Following thesis is about comprehensive treatment of insomnia through stability of the autonomic nervous system. It is widely accepted that most of the relevant symptoms of insomnia can be blamed on successive instability of the autonomic nervous system. In order to treat insomnia effectively, it is essential to maintain stability in the autonomic nervous system. When one is at stable stage of the autonomic nervous system, one maintains steady hormonal discharge. In Oriental Medicine, it is the stage when one has a sound qi-blood circulation. To treat insomnia effectively, one has to obtain both physical and mental relaxation through various ways.

Objectives: This research investigates the effect of the HBSBS on Alzheimer`s disease. Specifically, the effects of the HBSBS extract on (1) the behavior (2) the infarction area of the hippocampus, and brain tissue injury in Alzheimer`s disease mice induced with βA were investigated. Methods: The effects of the HBSBS extract suppressed the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and NOS-II mRNA in BV2 microglial cell line treated with LPS plus βA were investigated. The effects of the HBSBS extract on the behavior of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine were investigated. Results: 1. The HBSBS extract suppressed the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and NOS-II mRNA in BV2 microglial cell line treated with LPS plus βA. 2. The HBSBS extract suppressed the expression of βA protein production in BV2 microglial cell line treated with LPS plus βA. 3. The HBSBS extract showed significantly inhibitory effect on the scopolamine-induced impairment of memory in the experiment of Morris water maze. 4. The HBSBS group suppressed the over-expression of IL-1β protein, TNF-α protein significantly in the mice with Alzheimer`s disease induced by βA. 5. The HBSBS group reduced the infarction area of hippocampus, and controlled the injury of brain tissue in the mice with Alzheimer`s disease induced by βA. 6. The HBSBS group reduced tau protein, and GFAP in the brain tissue of the mice with AD induced by βA. Conclusions: These results suggest that the HBSBS group may be effective for the treatment of AD. Thus, HBSBS could be considered among the future therapeutic drugs indicated for the treatment of AD.

Changes in the microstructures and mechanical properties of an AC2B alloy through solution heat treatment were investigated using recycled AC2B cutting chips as raw material. The as-cast microstructure of the AC2B alloy comprised ${\alpha}$-Al, $Al_2Cu$, and coarse needle-shaped phases considered to be eutectic Si and an Al-Fe-Si based intermetallic compound. After solution heat treatments at $505^{\circ}C$ for 1 h and 6 h, the samples showed complete dissolution of $Al_2Cu$ and relatively fine distribution of intermetallic compounds. Hardness test results showed that the hardness rapidly increased after the solution heat treatment for 1 h by solid solution hardening, and the increase of hardness exhibited a plateau from 1 h to 6 h. The results of the hardness and tensile tests showed that there was no visible difference in the effect of 1 h and 6 h solid solution treatment.

DED(Directed energy deposition) is one of the additive manufacturing process that uses high intensity laser beam to make a melt pool onto a substrate while supplying metal material to the beam focusing area to fabricate components. This offers the advantage of enabling the 3D shape addition on the existing part and even deposit different materials from the existing ones. Thanks to these process characteristics, many attempts are being made to enhance functionality by depositing new materials that can compensate for the shortcomings of existing parts. This study investigates the possibility of depositing a Ni-based alloy, specifically Inconel 625, onto a pure copper substrate through the DED process with the goal of enabling operation in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, such as gas turbines or turbojet engines, by simultaneously achieving high thermal conductivity and high-temperature strength. A parametric study was conducted on process variables such as the Inconel 625 powder feed rate, laser output, and travel speed. Furthermore, experimental results were analyzed through observations using an optical microscope and EDS analysis of the deposition interface.
