        영재의 특성과 영재교육의 의미 : 영재학교 졸업생의 경험을 중심으로

        이 연구는 영재학교 졸업생들이 영재교육의 경험을 통해 그들이 생각하는 영재의 특성은 무엇이고 영재교육은 어떤 의미를 갖고 있는지 심층면접을 통해서 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 알아보기 위하여 전국 8개의 영재학교 중 각기 다른 6개의 영재학교 졸업생 8명의 인터뷰를 토대로 Giorgi 현상학적 연구 방법을 통해 면담 자료를 분석하였다. 심층 면접을 통해 직·간접적으로 나타난 영재의 특성으로 나타난 요소들로는 학업 우수성, 창의성, 지능, 과제집착력의 4가지의 주제와 14개의 중심의미가 있었다. 영재교육의 의미에 대한 진술을 분석한 결과 학문적 호기심, 자율성, 다양한 경험, 대학진학의 4가지 주제와 이와 관련된 19가지 중심의미를 찾을 수 있었다. 공통적으로 연구 참여자들은 영재선발 과정 및 영재교육 과정에 전반적으로 만족하였고 최근 이슈가 되고 있는 영재학교 졸업생의 의대 진학에 대해서는 긍정과 부정이 엇갈리는 의견이 있었으나 학생의 책임보다는 이공계가 대접을 못 받는 사회적인 분위기가 문제라고 인식하였다. 이러한 연구 참여자들의 진술에서 유의미한 결과를 도출하였으며 향후 영재교육 운영과정 개선에 도움이 될 수 있는 방안을 논의하였다. In this study, participants who have graduated from gifted high schools were interviewed to find out the characteristics of gifted students and what gifted education means to them. The data were collected and analyzed using Giorgi phenomenological research methods based on the interviews with 8 graduates from 6 different gifted high schools. Through in-depth interviews, 4 themes appeared as characteristics of giftedness: academic excellence, creativity, intelligence, and high levels of task commitment as well as 14 central meanings. After analyzing the statements about the meaning of gifted education, 4 themes were identified: academic curiosity, autonomy, diverse experiences, and college admission, as well as 19 central meanings related to them. Overall, the participants were satisfied with the gifted selection process and the educational curriculum; however, opinions were mixed on the recent issue of gifted high school graduates entering medical school. Rather than blaming the students, they recognized that the problem was the social atmosphere in which science and engineering graduates are not treated fairly. A significant result was derived from the statements of the participants, and measures that could improve the operation process of gifted education in the future were discussed.

        Antifreeze contains ethylene glycol up to ninty five percent. Ethylene glycol is colorless, odorless, sweet-tasting and water-soluble compound and has been widely used as a chemical solvent. Ethylene glycol has been reported as a common cause of incidental poisoning all over the world because of its easy access. However, in Korea, it is not easy to find statistical references on incidences of ethylene glycol intoxication, except two reported cases. Ethylene glycol itself is not toxic substance. But, many other daughter metabolites are very toxic and lethal. Acid metabolites among them can cause metabolic acidosis. Oxalate, end-product of ethylene glycol, is quickly transformed to calrium oxalate crystals, which precipitate in body tissues such as brain, kidney, heart, liver, and pancreas. We report a case of acute renal failure and neuropathy due to ethylene glycol intoxication along with a review of toxic effects of ethylene glycol. (Korean J Med 61:64-70, 2001)

        아란 니트 문양에 관한 연구

        Knit has an old history as a technique of craft to make garments and various goods of life. Recently is also made by knitting machine on a large scale. In the field of fashion material industry, the consumption of knitted fabrics has started to SUIl)aSS that of woven fabrics. The consumer's taste become more refine and complicate. Terefore, it is necessary to improve its design and quality. Aran knit motive is the most applicable pattern to knit. It comes from Aran islands which are located in the westem sea of Ireland, and reflects the artistic form of the Celts. The Celtic art can be distinguished from the Greek and Homan art by its decorativeness. With the study of Aran knit, we can comprehend the people who made the motive; their life, values, religion, aesthetic consciousness. Aran motive which is figured on the sweater for fisherman symbolizes security of life, bountful harvest and so on. At the same time this motive represents religious sprits. Aran motive has the worth of folk art including the Celtic tradition. On the other hand, is being developed into the popular fashion item.

        위암과 대장직장암 환자의 혈청 내 기질 금속단백분해효소와 억제인자 농도의 의의

        Background: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and their inhibitors, the tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase (TIMPs), are important factors related to invasion and metastasis in various human cancers. Different results have been reported about the correlation of the serum levels of MMPs and TIMPs and the cancer stages and prognoses in gastric and colorectal cancer patients. This study was designed to determine whether the serum levels of MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 are correlated with the pathologic findings and cancer stages. Methods: This retrospective study included 46 gastric cancer patients, 30 colonic adenoma patients and 46 colorectal cancer patients. The serum levels of MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 were analyzed using an ELISA technique. The pathologic findings of the endoscopic biopsies and the operative specimens, and the clinicopathologic staging were analyzed. Results: There were no significant differences in the serum levels of MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 according to the pathologic findings and the stages of the gastric and colorectal cancers. However the serum TIMP-1 levels were significantly higher in the advanced gastric cancer patients than in the control group and the early gastric cancer patients. The serum TIMP-2 levels were higher in the control group than in the tubular adenoma patients, the tubulovillous adenoma patients and the colorectal cancer patients. Conclusions: These results suggest that serum levels of TIMP-1 may be a good marker of invasive gastric cancer. The multistep process of colonic tumorigenesis may be modulated by TIMP-2.         퍼지 계층적 의사결정 기법과 컨조인트 분석을 활용한 국내 전자책 이용그룹의 요구수준 분석

        Amazon.com의 Kindle의 성공과 더불어 국내에도 전자책 및 전자책 단말기에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 계층적 의사결정 기법과 컨조인트 분석을 활용하여 국내 전자책 이용 그룹의 요구수준을 분석하고자 한다. 우선 퍼지 계층적 의사결정기법을 활용하여 전자책 전문가를 대상으로 전자책 전용 단말기 구매에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 주요요인을 선별해 낸다. 다음으로 전자책 이용그룹을 대상으로 주요요인별 요구수준을 파악하기 위해 컨조인트 분석을 수행한다. 끝으로 연구의 의의와 한계, 향후 연구방향을 함께 제시한다. With the success of Kindle, an electronic book reader developed by Amazon.com, there has been a growing interest in both electronic books and readers in Korea. In this paper, we analyze electronic book user needs through fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and conjoint analysis. First, we select the important factors which can affect the intention to purchase electronic book readers by applying the fuzzy AHP with the help of electronic book experts. Next, we perform conjoint analysis to reveal the detailed needs of electronic book users for each of the selected factors. Some useful implications and research limitations are also presented with future research directions.

      • 내열합금 구조품에서의 국부적 소성변형과 이중후방응력 경화 모델

        본 논문에서는 유한요소해석을 통해 연소시험 과정 중 발생한 내열 구조품의 파단현상이 분석되었다. 구조 불안정성은 소성변형으로 인한 것으로 이는 급격한 열하중의 변화에서 비롯된 것이다. 한편 소성변형 국부화 현상을 이해하기 위해 Armstrong-Frederick과 Phillips 경화식을 이용, 이중후방응력 구성방정식이 제안되었으며, 또한 본 모델은 연속체 파손역학과 조합되었으며 광범위한 소성변형거동을 보일 수 있다. 수치해석을 통해 소성변형 집중 현상은 지배적인 후방응력의 전개에 의존하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 물체 내에서의 파손 현상은 소성변형 집중을 가속화하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. Moreover, the two-back stress evolution model is proposed using the Armstrong-Frederick and the Phillips’ rules to depict the plastic deformation, and the continuum damage mechanics is also incorporated into the present model. It is noted that the present model is able to formulate a wide range of constitutive description with ease. The numerical results depicts that a severe strain localization and damage evolution can be obtained depending on the dominant back stress.

It is noted that the present model is able to formulate a wide range of constitutive description with ease.
