        Eugenol과 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D<sub>3</sub>의 병합처리에 의한 HL-60 세포의 분화 유도

        Eugenol은 여러가지 향신료에 있는 필수 오일의 주요 성분으로서 악성 종양 세포의 성장을 저해하고 사멸을 유도한다고 보고되었다. 본 연구에서는 eugenol이 세포 분화 유도에 관여하는지를 조사하기 위하여 HL-60 전골 수성 백혈병 세포의 분화에 미치는 eugenol의 효과를 연구하였다. HL-60 세포에 eugenol (150 ${\mu}M$)을 가했을 때 세포성장이 저해되었으며 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$ (3 nM)와 병합처리시에는 더 큰 저해효과를 보였다. 이 때, eugenol은 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$에 의해 유도되는 세포주기의 $G_{0}/G_{1}$단계 정지를 더욱 증가시킴을 알 수 있었다. 또한, eugenol과 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$를 병합처리 하였을 때에는 $G_{0}/G_{1}$단계의 정지와 관련된 세포주기 조절인자인 p27 level를 상호 협동적으로 증가시켰을 뿐만 아니라 cyclin A, cdk2, cdk4 level를 감소시켰다. 또한 유세포분석실험을 통하여, CD14 (단핵세포 표지 인자)의 발현이 eugenol과 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$를 병합처리한 세포에서 단독처리시보다 더 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들은 eugenol이 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$와 상호협동적으로 작용하여 저농도의 $1,25(OH)_{2}$ vit $D_{3}$에 의해 자극된 세포 분화 신호를 더욱 더 증대 시킴을 나타낸다. 이러한 eugenol에 의한 세포 분화 유도 작용은 암의 화학적예방 효과에 유용하게 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Eugenol (4-allyl-2-methoxyphenol) is a main component of essential oils obtained from various spices. Recent reports have shown that eugenol induces growth inhibition and apoptosis of malignant tumor cells. In this study, the stimulatory effect of eugenol on cell differentiation was investigated in HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia cells. When HL-60 cells were treated in combination with 150 ${\mu}M$ of eugenol and 3 nM of $1{\alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin$ $D_{3}$, cell growth was slower than that of cells treated with eugenol or $1{\alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin$ $D_{3}$ alone. Eugenol enhanced low dose of $1{\alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin }$ $D_{3}-induced$ a $G_{0}/G_{1}$ phase arrest in cell cycle. Consistent with this, combined treatment of eugenol and $1{\alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin$ $D_{3}$ cooperatively increased p27 level and decreased cyclin A, cdk 2 and cdk 4 levels, which are cell cycle regulators related to $G_{0}/G_{1}$ arrest. According to flow cytometric analysis, the expression of CD14 (monocytic differentiation marker) was more increased in the cells co-treated with eugenol and $1{\alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin$ $D_{3}$. These results indicate that eugenol potentiates cell differentiation mediated by $1{\alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin$ $D_{3}$ of suboptimal concentration. The differentiation-inducing property of eugenol maybe contributes to chemopreventive activity of cancer.

        Efficient Hybrid ARQ with Space-Time Coding and Low-Complexity Decoding

        본 논문에서는 Space-Time code를 사용하는 다중 안테나 시스템에서 Hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ)의 처리능력(throughput)을 향상시키는 기법을 제안한다. 우선 낮은 복잡도를 가지는 Hard decision decoding (HDD) 방법에서 신뢰도 정보를 이용하여 복호 성능을 높일 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이렇게 제안된 알고리즘을 HARQ 프로토콜을 사용하는 시스템에 사용하여 낮은 복잡도를 유지하면서 전체 처리능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한다. 제안된 기법의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 처리능력을 수학적으로 분석하였으며, 모의실험을 통해 AWGN 채널 및 페이딩이 있는 다중입력 다중출력 채널뿐만 아니라 Impulse 잡음이 있는 환경에서도 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다. We aim at increasing the throughput of the hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) protocol in Space-Time (ST) coded multi-antenna transmission systems. By utilizing reliability information at the decoder, we obtain an improved probability of successful decoding, which enhances the overall system throughput at low-complexity. Simulations and analytical results demonstrate the performance of our scheme in impulse noise environment as well as AWGN and fading multi-input multi-ouput (MIMO) channels.

      • 유비쿼터스 홈 구축을 위한 저속 위치인식 UWB 기술

        유비쿼터스 네트워크 시대가 도래함에 따라 위치인식 기반 응용 서비스 요구 증대에 따른 위치인식 무선 개인영역 네트워크(WPAN) 시스템이 주목을 받고 있다. 특히 초광대역(UWB) 기술은 저비용, 저소비 전력으로 통신뿐만 아니라 실내나 음영지역에서 수십 cm급 이내의 정밀한 위치인식/추적 기능을 줄 수 있어, 유비쿼터스 홈을 구축하기위한 핵심 기술로 인식되고 있으며, 저속 위치인식 WPAN 표준인 IEEE 802.15.4a의 물리계층(PHY)으로 채택되었다. 본 원고에서는 위치인식 UWB 기술과 관련한 IEEE802.15.4a 표준화 현황과 기술 동향에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다.

        실내 무선측위/통신을 위한 IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB 시스템 설계

        This paper aims at designing an impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) transceiver, especially targeting the IEEE 802.15.4a indoor ranging and communication systems. We first investigate the IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB signals and suggest the full-digital transceiver architecture accordingly. Since the wireless systems equipped with the impulse signal have the property of low-duty cycle, i.e., discontinuity in time, while the conventional systems takes the continuous signals, it is required to reconfigure the system design, including link budget. Following brief introduction to our IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB system hardware, we finally examine the ranging performance in indoor environments to verify our system design.

        Frequency Offset Estimation for IR-UWB Packet-Based Ranging System

        본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB Ranging 시스템을 위한 주파수 옵셋 추정기를 제안한다. 주파수 옵셋 추정은 실내 다중경로 환경에서의 고정밀 Ranging을 위해 반드시 필요한 것으로 IEEE 802.15.4a 시스템에 적합한 주파수 옵셋 추정기의 제안이 필수이다. 먼저 IR-UWB 패킷에서 Ternary 프리앰블 코드 특징을 이용하여 ML 기반 주파수 옵셋 추정기를 제안하고, 하드웨어 구현을 위해 복잡도가 낮은 주파수 옵셋 추정기를 제안한다. 제안된 두 개의 주파수 옵셋 추정기 성능을 확인하기 위하여 이론적 분석을 수행하였고, IEEE 802.15.4a 다중 경로 채널 모델을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 다중 경로 환경에서도 주파수 옵셋 추정 성능이 우수함을 증명한다. We aim at frequency offset estimation for IEEE 802.15.4a ranging systems, where an impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) signal is exploited, By incorporating the property of the ternary code in the preamble, we derive a simplified maximum-likelihood (ML) estimation of the frequency offset. In addition, a closed form estimator for implementation is investigated. Simulation results and theoretical analysis verify our estimators in IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB packet-based ranging systems.

        간판언어 어종의 분석으로 본 해항도시 부산의문화혼종화 특징에 관한 고찰-관광지와 대학가, 주택지를 중심으로-

        The purpose of the research is to analyze the word type of language used on signboards in three different areas in Busan (tourist spot, university street, and residential section) with a view to identify the areas with the most profound language hybridization phenomena due to cultural exchanges. The first stage of the analysis was to analyze the appearance of the target languages in the shop name and the business type description in signboards in each of target areas in Busan. The result of analysis showed that languages used on signboards in Busan had similarities and differences at the same time. Firstly, the similarities they had could be found in shop names. That is, in all of the 4 areas, shop names appeared in most cases. The differences included that the appearance rate of business descriptions was around 30%, which was rather low, in areas with strong networks and characterized by hybridity and diversity. On the other hand, areas with weaker networks (Residential area 1 and 2) showed higher appearance rates of 60 to 70%, which was twice as high. In the second stage, the language distribution in signboard language was analyzed, by analyzing the language used in shop names, which had a higher appearance rate. The result showed that the language type in signboards in the 4 areas mainly focused on the Western language words and Chinese-Korean words. In the third stage, the characteristics in each of the 4 areas in terms of the language type in signboards was identified in further details, by means of a statistical analysis with the shop name and the business description separated. The result of analysis with the shop names showed that, firstly, signboards in areas with a heavier presence of foreigners included more Western language words with statistical significance. Secondly, the shop names in college areas usually contained Japanese and Special words. Thirdly, shop names in Residential Area 1 (Old Town) had a lot of Chinese-Korean words. Fourthly, shop names in Residential Area 2 (New Town) had Chinese-Korean words and Mixed use words. Next, the result of analysis on business description sections showed that, firstly, the business description in tourist sites contained a significant amount of Japanese and Special words. Especially, the increase in Japanese was very significant. Secondly, many signboards in the college street contained Korean in the shop name, with the difference in number being significant. Thirdly, shop names in Residential Area 1 had more Western language words, and the difference in number was statistically significant. Fourthly, shop names in Residential Area 2 contained Korean and Mixed use words in shop names.

        일본인 한국어학습자의 자발적 제스처와 필러 산출의 구조적 특성 -제2언어 환경과 외국어환경(나고야)의 일본어화자를 중심으로-

        本硏究は名古屋に居住している日本人KFL(Korean as a Foreign Language)學習者を對象にし、アニメ―ション傳達課題を用いて韓國語で發話する際、自發的ジェスチャ―およぴ言語混用(フィラ―)にいかなる特徵があるのかを先行硏究(吳、2007)と比較しながら調査した。具體的に第一に、本硏究では名古屋に居住している日本人KFL學習者のジェスチャ―使用とフィラ―混用の實態を、ソウルで滯在している日本人KSL(Korean asSecond Language)學習者と比較·分析した。分析の結果、まずジェスチャ―産出頻度は二種類の學習者間でほとんど差が見られなかった。この結果はジェスチャ―を使用する發話樣式が韓國語よりも日本語において少ないことを示唆する。次に、フィラ―の産出量は、日本人KSL學習者よりも日本人KFL學習者において多かった。この結果から、話者のフィラ―産出には第二言語環境よりも外國語環境において母語の干涉がより强いと考えられる。第二に、本硏究では名古屋に居住している日本人KFL學習者のジエスチャ―使用とフィラ―混用の構造的特徵が韓國での留學滯在期間によって異なるか否かを分析した。分折の結果、まずジェスチャ―の産出量は、短期留學グル―プと中·長期留學グル―プ間で同程度であった。この結果は日本人韓國語學習者が異文化接觸空間で韓國語のジェスチャ―使用樣式を習得したといっても、自文化言語空間では母語の影響をより强く受ける可能性を示唆する。一方、フィラ―の産出量は短期留學グル―プよりも中·長期留學グル―プにおいて多かった。この結果から日本人KFL學習者のフィラ―産出量に影響を及ぼす要因には、發話負荷のみならず發話動機も存在していると考えられる。

        韓国人日本語学習者(JSLㆍJFL)の発話におけるフィラーとジェスチャー産出に関する研究

        Recently, in Japanese education field as the second language, interesting main subjects such as the mechanism of linguistic processing and the non-linguistic information (gesture) except speech related to language acquisition have been investigated. In the present study, the production of fillers and gestures in Korean JSLㆍJFL learners was investigated in the viewpoint of the speech load of speakers. In the case of Korean JSL learners who live in Japan, the frequency of fillers and gestures in 「high load group (short-stay learner)」 was higher than that in 「low load group (long-stay learner)」. On the other hand, in the case of Korean JFL learners who live in Korea, the frequency of fillers and gestures in 「high load group (non study abroad experience)」 was higher than that in 「low load group (study abroad experience)」. That is, in both of Korean JSLㆍJFL learners, the frequency of fillers and gestures in 「high load group」 was higher than that in 「low load group」. These results suggest that the factors such as the length of stay and the study abroad experience in Japan are related to the increase of speech load.

        청소년의 감각추구성향과 위험행동간의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between adolescent sensation-seeking and risk behavior. This study was based on Zuckerman`s model which states that the higher the sensation-seeking score, the higher the risk behavior score. The subjects were 460 third year high school adolescents in Seoul. Instruments were the Arnett, Inventory on Sensation-Seeking and questionnaires on risk behavior as well as demographic variables. Statistical procedures were T-test, F-test, correlation, and heirarchical regression analysis. Sex was the only demographic variable related to sensation-seeking scores; there were differences in risk behavior score by father`s education, mother`s education and father`s occupation; adolescent sensation-seeking and demographic variables (father`s education, mother`s education, and father`s occupation) influenced adolescent risk behaviors.
