골아세포의 IGF-I 유전자 발현 및 골기질 단백질에 대한 $17{\beta}-estradiol$의 영향

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the expression ofIGF-I, considered as the mediator of action of estrogen, and IGF-IA and IGF-IB, alternative slicing form of IGF-I, using $17{\beta}-estradiol$ in MC3T3-E1 cells. We observed the effect on type I collagen and osteopontin gene expression and DNA synthetic activity of MC3T3-E1 cells, added by estrogen, IGF-I and combination and the interactionon proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells. The results were as follows :RT-PCR experiment for observing timedependantIGF-I gene expression patternshowed IGF-IA and IB gene expression in both of control and test group. In these IGF-IA gene expression was appeared predominantly. In control, IGF-I geneexpression level was maintained until 24hr and then decreased gradually. In testgroup, IGF-I gene expression level increased as time goes by. Experiment measuring DNA synthetic activity, as it is added by $17{\beta}-estradiol$, IGF-I and combination, showed that first day , there was the tendency of more increase of synthetic activity in all test group than control but no statical significance(P>0.05), and third day, there was more increase of DNA synthetic activity in $17{\beta}-estradiol$ group and combination group and it was statically significant. (P<0.005) Experiment for observing type I collagen gene expression pattern showed more increase of expression in $17{\beta}-estradiol$ group than control and no significant difference in IGF-I group and combination group. Experiment for observing osteopontin gene expression pattern showed no significant difference in control and test group. In conclusion, $17{\beta}-estradiol$ in MC3T3- E1 cells increased IGF-I gene and DNA synthetic activity simultaneously, therefore it appeared that IGF-I is related to the action of estrogen. Combination treatment of IGF-I and $17{\beta}-estradiol$ has effect on cell proliferation but this effect is lower than IGF-I or $17{\beta}-estradiol$ alone. However, combination treatment has not great effect on type I collagen or osteopontin gene expression thus little effect of cell differentiation.

Agricultural hot air dryers, mostly electric type, require a significant amount of electrical energy to remove internal moisture from agricultural products. Air or geothermal source heat pump type dryers which absorb heat from the air or ground generate heat with the condenser of a heat pump system which results in less energy consumption compared to the electric heater type. In this study, cycle analysis is conducted to compare energy consumption and COP of three types of hot air dryers. Measured data of our previous experimental study were provided as input for the cycle analysis. For this study, 100 kg of red pepper was selected for the sample to be dried and Seoul weather data for 2017 was used for outdoor air conditions. During water season, the COP of electric, air source, and geothermal source are 0.91, 1.32, and 1.64, respectively. Thus in winter, the COP of air source and geothermal source are better than the electric type by 45.1% and 80.2%, respectively. During summer season, the COP of electric, air source, and geothermal source are 0.91, 1.68, and 1.84, respectively. Thus in summer, the COP of air source and geothermal source are better than the electric type by 84.6% and 102.2%, respectively.
고분자전해질 연료전지용 Ti 분리판을 위한 고분자와 Ti Sol-Gel 탄소코팅의 비교 연구

In this work, we performed a comparative study examining two coatings on Ti Gr.1 for use in fuel cell bipolar plates. The coatings consisted of carbon black as the conductor along with acrylic polymer and Ti Sol-Gel binder as the binder. Ti Sol-Gel that had precipitated as TiO<sub>2</sub> in areas impregnated between carbon black gaps, thereby acting as a binder for carbon black and serving as a polymer coating. Neither of the coatings peeled off during the 90o bend test to check formability. The contact resistance of the TiO<sub>2</sub> coating was found to be lower than that of the polymer binder coating. Moreover, due to coating shrinkage (denser) that occurred during the heat treatment process, the TiO<sub>2</sub> binder coating showed almost the same level of corrosion resistance, as measured by potentiostatic and EIS tests, despite being thinner than the polymer coating. However, both the polymer binder coating and the TiO<sub>2</sub> binder coating had many pores and irregularities internally (around 10 ~ 100 nm) and on the surface (0.1 ~ 2 μm). We considered that these pores and irregularities contributed to the lower corrosion resistance.

When the automotive body enters an electrocoating tank while applying an electric current, its steel surface is exposed to a very low induced current. Consequently, surface defects of coating may arise if the steel surface has lack of electric uniformity due to local defects such as local oxide. In this study, we investigated the preceding assessment methods to evaluate steel susceptibility of the low induced current during electrocoating before mass production. Prior to general electrocoating, we applied low constant voltage such as 3V or low constant current densities such as 0.35㎃/㎠and 0.50㎃/㎠. In result, we confirmed that such methods were efficient for assessing steel susceptibility of low induce current during electrocoating.

Scales generated inside pipes cause negative effects on heat transfer performance, pressure loss and flow rate due to increased thermal resistance and reduced flow cross-sectional area. If these scales are not prevented or eliminated, thermal-fluid performance of the facilities can be deteriorated, or in extreme cases, accidents such as explosion due to overheating can occur. There are two ways to remove the scales, physically and chemically. Removing the scales physically needs specific machines which are expensive, and removing them chemically may provoke corrosion or shorten the age of the facilities. In this study, an eco-friendly pipe scale cleaner using natural organic acid is developed by applying the concept of a limestone cave generation. The manufactured scale cleaner is applied to remove the scales in industrial, water heating and urinal pipes. The results show that this cleaner removes scales more effectively and safely compared to existing scale treatments. Scale removal efficiencies of this work is 1.2~10.7 times for industrial pipes and 1.8~15.5 times for boiler water heating pipes higher than those of conventional cleaners.

In order to observe the sequential changes of the urine electrolytes and urine anion gap (UAG) during the course of Korean hemorrhagic fever (KHF), we measured spot urine electrolytes and urine osmolality in 16 patients with KHF, and calculated UAG from them as an index of the renal tubular dysfunction. Also, we observed the relationships between the initial value of spot urine anion gap and the clinical findings and severity in each patient. Spot urine sodium and potassium concentrations were higher in the early phases (oliguric to early diuretic phase) than in the late phases. Spot UAG values were highest in the oliguric phase and decreased sequentially. Urine osmolality decreased sequentially from the oliguric to the convalescent phase. The initial spot UAC values of each patient were related with the clinical severity in the early phases and with the degrees of hyponatremia, azotemia and metabolic acidosis as well. Spot UAG was elevated when spot urine sodium or potassium concentration was higher, and was lowered when urine osmolality was decreased or polyuria occurred. From the above results, we concluded that the changes of spot UAG through the phases might be related with the renal tubular damage in KHF.

카메라는 영상 내 상황 변화 등의 이벤트를 감지하고 주변의 사물의 형태와 색상 등을 인식하는 것에 사용되기 때문에 지능형 영상 보안시스템이나 첨단운송기기, 스마트 팜 등 4차 산업 기술에 필수적이다. 그러나 역광, 상향등, 안개와 우천과 같이 외부 조건에 취약하기 때문에 카메라 영상에 의한 환경 인식 시 정보를 해석하는 과정에서 기상환경 및 외부 환경 변화에 따른 노이즈 등의 오류가 발생할 가능성이 있다. 악천우(폭우, 안개 등)와 조명환경 차이는 영상정보 분석의 어려움을 야기한다. 이러한 악조건 상황에서 사용자의 목적에 맞는 영상정보를 획득하기 위해서는 카메라를 통한 주변 환경 촬영 후 보정을 통하여 주변 환경에 대한 정확한 정보를 전달할 수 있고, 악조건 환경에서 보정된 영상정보를 획득하여 획득한 정보를 바탕으로 CCTV나첨단운송기기, 스마트 팜 등에 적용할 수 있는 기후 변화에 따른 영상 내 노이즈 제거 알고리즘 개발이 필요하다.
