        레스토랑에서의 푸드 코디네이션에 대한 기대요인과 수준에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to suggest ways for practical food coordination, by examining restaurant-visitor' expectation factors for food coordination in restaurants. Statistical analyses were carried out based on the statistical data collected via survey from the restaurant visitors. For the data analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, and ANOVA were applied, using the SAS 9.1(ver.) program. In the results for the general perception of food coordination, the degree of recognition by restaurant visitors for food coordination is not high. However, necessity for food coordination is highly recognized and a 70% of the respondents were positive in their response about an expropriation price. Fitty percent of the respondents indicated a positive response regarding the relationship between the visual effect of the food and a re-visit to the restaurant. Therefore, most restaurant visitors believe food coordination is necessary in restaurants, and expect to pay for it in price.

        Generation of Expression Vectors for High-Throughput Functional Analysis of Target Genes in Schizosaccharomyces pombe

        An immediate challenge in the post-genomic era is to assign a biological functions to proteins unraveled by genome analysis. This report is based on studies conducted using Schizosaccharomyces pombe, a simple model organism, and presents various vector systems as tools for high-throughput functional analysis of human genes. We constructed S. pombe expression vectors for efficient cloning of genes via the Gateway system. We modified the pREP and pSLF series vectors, which are widely used for gene expression in S. pombe. The vectors constructed have a uniform backbone of S. pombe autonomously replicating sequence (ARS) elements with different selective markers, namely, ura4+ and Saccharomyces cerevisiae LEU2 complementing leu1. These vectors contain 3 different strengths of the inducible promoter nmt1, which affect the expression levels of the cloned open reading frames (ORFs). Further, target proteins can be fused with an N-terminal or C-terminal tag such as triple hemagglutinin (3× HA), enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), or Discosoma red fluorescent protein (DsRed). We tested the feasibility of the constructed vectors by using 3 human genes, namely, RAB18, SCC-112, and PTEN. Proper expression of tagged RAB18 was confirmed by western blot analysis. Further, localization of RAB18, SCC112, and PTEN was demonstrated. The constructed vectors can be utilized for high-throughput functional analysis of heterologous genes.

        댐 시설물의 NFC 기반 이력관리시스템 프로토타입 개발

        국내 건설 산업이 대형화 및 복잡화됨에 따라 건설프로세스에서 발생하는 각종 공사 관리정보를 보다 체계적이고 효율적인 방법과 통합적으로 관리하는 것에 대한 사회적 요구가 증대되고 있다. 하지만 현재 국내의 시설물 유지관리 체계는 시스템 개발과 적용보다는 유지관리 노동에 대한 투자가 큰 노동집약체계로서 시스템 발전이 상당히 정체되어 있고, 건설 프로세스 과정에서 생성되는 정보의 수집 및 활용에 상당한 시간 및 비용이 비효율적으로 소모되는 등 여러 가지 문제점에 직면해 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 새로운 IT기술인 NFC(Near Field Communication)와 데이터베이스 시스템 그리고 스마트 기기를 연동하여 건설 프로세스 과정에서 생성되는 각종 건설정보의 데이터베이스를 구축하고, 체계적이고 효율적인 유지관리체계를 통해 건설공정 및 유지관리 품질을 향상할 수 있는 댐 시설물을 대상으로 한 스마트 통합유지관리시스템을 개발함으로 업무 편의성과 사용성을 향상하고, 건설 유지관리업무의 효율성 증진에 이바지하고자 한다. Construction industry becomes large and complicated as that occurred in the construction processes and operations, and the growing social demand for more systematic and efficient methods of integrated management increases. Current facility maintenance system has been regarded as large labor-intensive and fairly stagnant, and faced on several issues including inefficiency in cost and time to collect and utilize various field information. Thus, this paper presents a maintenance prototype utilizing NFC technology and smart devices to efficiently collect and manage the field information in the course of the construction processes. By choosing dam facilities as a case study, construction data for dam inspection and maintenance were classified according to dam maintenance guideline, and database structure was constructed to incorporate with the NFC tags and smart device interface. The system prototype presented in this paper would improve the quality of the dam facilities maintenance system and provide business convenience and usability by contributing increased efficiency of field information management and sharing.

        Incidence of Venous Air Embolism during Myomectomy: The Effect of Patient Position

        Purpose: Venous air embolism (VAE) is characterized by the entrainment of air or exogenous gases from broken venous vasculature into the central venous system. No study exists regarding the effect of patient positioning on the incidence of VAE during abdominal myomectomy. The purpose of this study was to assess the incidence and grade of VAE during abdominal myomectomy in the supine position in comparison to those in the head-up tilt position using transesophageal echocardiography. Materials and Methods: In this study, 84 female patients of American Society of Anesthesiologist physical status I or II who were scheduled for myomectomy under general anesthesia were included. Patients were randomly divided into two groups: supine group and head-up tilt group. Transesophageal echocardiography images were videotaped throughout the surgery. The tapes were then reviewed for VAE grading. Results: In the supine group, 10% of the patients showed no VAE. Moreover, 10% of the patients were classified as grade I VAE, while 50% were categorized as grade II, 22.5% as grade III, and 7.5% as grade IV. In the head-up tilt group, no VAE was detected in 43.2% of the patients. In addition,18.2% of the patients were classified as grade I VAE, 31.8% as grade II, and 6.8% as grade III; no patients showed grade IV. VAE grade in the head-up tilt group was significantly lower than that in the supine group (p<0.001). Conclusion:The incidence and grade of VAE in the head-up tilt group were significantly lower than those in the supine group during abdominal myomectomy.

        Laryngeal Mask Airway Insertion in Adults: Comparison between Fully Deflated and Partially Inflated Technique

        Purpose: The laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is a supraglottic airway device designed to seal around the laryngeal inlet. A controlled study was designed to compare the effectiveness and complications in inserting the LMA when the cuff is fully deflated and partially inflated. Materials and Methods: American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II 172 female patients scheduled for gynecologic procedures were included in this study. Patients were randomly allocated into one of the two groups; fully deflated (n=86) and partially inflated group (n=86). A size #4 LMA was inserted. The number of attempts, time taken for successful insertion,grade of leak, grade of fiberoptic view, and complications were evaluated. Results: All 172 patients completed the study protocol. The number of attempts, time taken for successful insertion, and grade of leak were not significantly different between the two groups. The grade of fiberoptic view and complications were lower in the fully deflated group. Conclusion: The fully deflated method is more accurate and safe because of better fiberoptic view and lesser complications than the partially inflated group.
