설계 초기 단계에서 전력/클록 네트워크를 고려한 라우팅 밀집도 예측 방법론

본 논문은 설계 흐름의 초기 단계에서 SoC의 라우팅 밀집도를 빠르고 정확하게 예측하는 방법론을 제안한다. 라우팅 과정에서 발생하는 과도한 밀집 현상은 라우팅 실패를 야기하고, 물리 설계를 처음부터 다시하게 되는 불필요한 시간을 소모하게 한다. 설계 초기단계에서 라우팅 밀집도를 정확하게 예측하는 것은 성공적인 물리 설계를 이끌어 내며, 전체 설계 시간에 소모되는 비용을 최소화시킨다. 제안된 방법은 블록 수준 플로어플랜 단계에서 블록 간/블록 내부 인터커넥트, 가상으로 합성된 파워/클록 네트워크를 사용해서 정교한 라우팅 밀집도를 예측한다. This paper proposes the methodology to estimate the routing congestion of modern IC quickly and accurately at the early stage of the design flow. The occurrence of over-congestion in the routing process causes routing failure which then takes unnecessary time to re-design the physical design from the beginning. The precise estimation of routing congestion at the early design stage leads to a successful physical design that minimizes over-congestion which in turn reduces the total design time cost. The proposed estimation method at the block-level floorplan stage measures accurate routing congestion by using the analyzed virtual interconnections of inter/intra blocks, synthesized virtual power/ground and clock networks.
3D-IC 전력 공급 네트워크를 위한 최적의 전력 메시 구조를 사용한 전력 범프와 TSV 최소화

3D-IC는 2D-IC와 비교하여 전력 공급 네트워크 설계 시에 더 큰 공급 전류와 더 많은 전력 공급 경로들 때문에 몇 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 전력 공급 네트워크는 전력 범프와 전력 TSV로 구성되고, 각 노드의 전압 강하는 전력 범프와 전력 TSV의 개수와 위치에 따라 다양한 값을 가지게 된다. 그래서 칩이 정상적으로 동작하기 위해서는 전압 강하 조건을 만족시키면서 전력 범프와 전력 TSV를 최적화하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 3D-IC 전력 공급 네트워크에서 최적의 전력 메시 구조를 통한 전력 범프와 전력 TSV 최적화를 제안한다. 3-dimensional integrated circuits (3D-ICs) have some problems for power delivery network design due to larger supply currents and larger power delivery paths compared to 2D-IC. The power delivery network consists of power bumps & through-silicon-vias (TSVs), and IR-drop at each node varies with the number and location of power bumps & TSVs. It is important to optimize the power bumps & TSVs while IR-drop constraint is satisfied in order to operate chip ordinarily. In this paper, the power bumps & TSVs optimization with optimized power mesh structure for power delivery network in 3D-ICs is proposed.
증례 : 호흡기 ; 결핵성 흉막염을 동반한 갑상선 유두암의 폐전이 1예

저자들은 70세 여자 환자가 흉수소견으로 내원하여 흉수 천자 및 늑막 조직검사를 시행하여 결핵성 흉막염이 진단되었으나, 아데노신 탈아미노효소가 2.4 IU/L로 낮았고, 흉부 전산화단층촬영상 우하엽에 폐종괴 소견과 양측 미세결절이 관찰되었다. 경흉 세침흡입 세포검사에서 5년 전 전절제술을 받았던 갑상선 유두암의 폐전이가 진단되어, 결핵성 흉막염을 동반한 갑상선 유두암의 폐전이 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most prevalent type of thyroid cancer. Metastasis of this carcinoma commonly occurs in the lung and has been reported to present 5 to 30 years after the initial diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Pleural effusion can mask this metastatic spread. In patients with pleural effusion, laboratory measurement of the adenosine deaminase (ADA) level in the pleural fluid can be effective in identifying and ranking pulmonary metastasis in the differential diagnosis. A 70-year-old female patient visited our hospital with dyspnea. She presented with a considerable amount of pleural effusion. A pleural biopsy was performed and the Ziehl-Neelsen stains revealed a few acid-fast bacilli, but the ADA level in the pleural fluid was 2.4 IU/L. After drainage of the pleural effusions, we discovered pulmonary nodules by computed tomography (CT), which were later diagnosed through histologic examination as pulmonary metastasis from papillary thyroid carcinoma. Ambient gas density and Temperature effect on the width and height of Impingement spray were examined. The gas chamber density was varied 18kg/㎥ to 30kg/㎥, temperature was varied 293K to 473K. These ranges included gas density are top-dead-center conditions in current technology light-duty diesel engines. The Spray images were used to measure the impingement spray characteristics by the spray shape as the function of time and space. A mechanically actuated KP-PE type injection system was used to supply the fuel into a pressurized and heated spray chamber.<br/> With the higher density and temperature, the Impingement spray characteristic is decreased. In a high-speed DI diesel engine, injected fuel sprays impinge on the wall of piston cavity. In the experiments<br/> presented here, diesel fuel was injected into a high temperature and pressure chamber in which compressed N2 gas.<br/> In this studies, We examined about impinging spray considering ambient density (18, 24 ,30 kg/m3), ambient<br/> temperature (293,473K). The images of impinging spray were obtained by the high speed video camera. After that<br/> we analyzed the impinging spray characteristics to use the images.<br/> From theses results, The effects of ambient density, ambient temperature and on the characteristics of impinging<br/> spray were investigated.<br/> Finally, the experimental equations of the radial distance and the axial distance of the impinging spray were<br/> proposed as functions of above mentioned variables .

The Characteristics of diesel Spray have much effect on the engine performances such as power, fuel economy and emissions. Therefore, the measurement of fuel spray characteristics is very important for the improvement of heat engine.<br/> The factors which control diesel spray characteristics are injection pressure, ambient temperature and density on diesel sprays.<br/> We measured spray angle, spray penetration by using the images of high speed video camera.
