For low-cost embedded EEPROM, in this paper, single polysilicon EEPROM and n-channel high-voltage LDMOST device are developed in a $0.25{\mu}m$ standard CMOS logic process. Using these devices developed, the EEPROM chip is fabricated. The fabricated EEPROM chip is composed of 1 Kbit single polysilicon EEPROM away and high voltage driver circuits. The program and erase characteristics of the fabricated EEPROM chip are evaluated using 'STA-EL421C'. The fabricated n-channel high-voltage LDMOST device operation voltage is over 10 V and threshold voltage window between program and erase states of the memory cell is about 2.0 V.
동특성 앙상블 학습 기반 구조물 진단 모니터링 분산처리 시스템

구조물에 장기적으로 발생하는 노후화를 정량적으로 파악하기 위해 상시진동 데이터를 활용한 일반화된 모니터링 시스템에 관한 연구가 세계적으로 활발히 수행중이다. 본 연구에서는 구조물에서 장기적으로 취득되는 동특성을 앙상블 학습에 활용하여 구조물의 이상을 감지하기 위한 보급형 엣지 컴퓨팅 시스템을 구축하였다. 시스템의 하드웨어는 라즈베리파이와 보급형 가속도계, 기울기센서, GPS RTK 모듈, 로라 모듈로 구성됐다. 실험실 규모의 구조물 모형 진동실험을 통해 동특성을 활용한 앙상블 학습의 구조물 이상감지를 검증하였으며, 실험을 기반으로 한 실시간 동특성 추출 분산처리 알고리즘을 라즈베리파이에 탑재하였다. 구축된 시스템을 하우징하고 포항시 행정복지센터에 설치하여 데이터를 취득함으로써 개발된 시스템의 현장 적용성을 검증하였다. In recent years, active research has been devoted toward developing a monitoring system using ambient vibration data in order to quantitatively determine the deterioration occurring in a structure over a long period of time. This study developed a low-cost edge computing system that detects the abnormalities in structures by utilizing the dynamic characteristics acquired from the structure over the long term for ensemble learning. The system hardware consists of the Raspberry Pi, an accelerometer, an inclinometer, a GPS RTK module, and a LoRa communication module. The structural abnormality detection afforded by the ensemble learning using dynamic characteristics is verified using a laboratory-scale structure model vibration experiment. A real-time distributed processing algorithm with dynamic feature extraction based on the experiment is installed on the Raspberry Pi. Based on the stable operation of installed systems at the Community Service Center, Pohang-si, Korea, the validity of the developed system was verified on-site.

In this study, multipoint dynamic vertical displacement of liquid in the tuned liquid damper (TLD) is measured by a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) and a Galvanometer scanner to overcome limitations of existing sensors and to leverage noncontact sensing.

Experimental investigation of the tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) is a primal factory task prior to its installation at a site and is mainly undertaken by a real-time hybrid simulation. In this study, a noncontact standalone vision sensing system is developed to replace a series of the conventional sensors installed at the TLCD tested. The versatile measurements of the system is theoretically and experimentally evaluated through a wide range of lab scale dynamic tests.

Conventionally, in material management at a construction site, the type, size, and quantity of materials are identified by the eyes of the worker. Labor-intensive material management by manpower is slow, requires a lot of manpower, is prone to errors, and has limitations in that computerization of information on the identified types and quantities is additionally required. Therefore, a method that can quickly and accurately determine the type, size, and quantity of materials with a minimum number of workers is required to reduce labor costs at the construction site and improve work efficiency. In this study, we developed an automated convolution neural network(CNN) and computer vision technology-based rebar size and quantity estimation system that can quickly and accurately determine the type, size, and quantity of materials through images.
실천중심 성격강점 프로그램이 전공과 발달장애 학생의 자기결정, 자아존중감 및 안녕감에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study examined the effects of a practice-oriented character strengths program on the self -determination, self-esteem, and well-being of students with developmental disabilities in further education units. Method: The participants of this study were ten students with developmental disabilities in further education units at a specialized high school. A practice-oriented character strengths program consisting of 14 sessions was conducted. A one-group pre-test-post-test design was applied, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was conducted to investigate the effects of the intervention. Result: First, the total score and some sub-variables of self-determination responded to by students and homeroom teachers significantly improved compared with the pre-test score. Second, the total score and sub-variables of self-esteem for students significantly improved compared to the pre-test scores. Third, the total and sub-variables of students’ well-being significantly improved compared to the pre-test scores. Conclusion: This program was effective in improving the self-determination, self-esteem, and well-being of students with developmental disabilities in further education units at a specialized high school. This study is significant because it introduced a character strengths program using a strength-based approach for students with developmental disabilities.

In this paper, in order to supply program and erase voltages for embedded EEPROM, charge-pump circuit with output voltage of the maximum 10 V is proposed based on a 0.25 ㎛ standard CMOS logic process. To gain reliability for generated high voltage when charge-pump operates, high-voltage n-channel LDMOST device is developed and applied to charge-pump circuit. As a result of measurements, the fabricated high-voltage n-channel LDMOST device operation voltage is over 10 V and charge-pump exhibits output voltage range from 6.8 to 10 V for control voltage (Vctrl) sweeps from 0 to 1.5 V.

This paper reports the fabrication and characterization of $32{\times}32$ thermal cantilever array for nano-scaled memory device applications. The $32{\times}32$ thermal cantilever array with integrated tip heater has been fabricated with micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS) technology on silicon on insulator(SOI) wafer using 9 photo masking steps. All of single-level cantilevers(1,024 bits) have a p-n junction diode in order to eliminate any electrical cross-talk between adjacent cantilevers. Nonlinear electrical characteristic of fabricated thermal cantilever shows its own thermal heating mechanism. In addition, n-channel high-voltage MOSFET device is integrated on a wafer for embedding driver circuitry.

This paper discusses silicon complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) field-effect transistors with dual work function gates (DWFG) to improve transconductance (gm) and drain conductance (gds) characteristics. For a n-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) device, the poly-silicon gate on the source and drain side are doped p+ and n+, respectively and vice versa for a p-channel MOSFET. The work function difference in a poly-silicon gate affects channel potential distribution and increases the lateral electric field inside the channel. The increased electric field inside the channel improves carrier drift velocity. Experimental results from the fabricated DWFG devices show improved gm and gds over conventional single work function gate devices.

As for the recent need for maintenance of aging structures and tall buildings, the traditional structural inspection and management methods are expected to be enhanced with the automated structural health monitoring system. The system identification technique is deem to be a core deem of the structural health monitoring. In this study, a methodology of structural stiffness estimation is proposed to identify the state space model of the target structure from the dynamic behavior measurement data of the structure. Experimental verification of the physical quantity estimation technique is conducted.
