Robot task program is needed to control and manage a Robot without explicitly describing the robot program by user which includes commands, procedures, geometric and signal data in the detail level. To use the Robot task program, a computer system is required to convert the Robot task into the Robot program, which can be understood by the Robot. In this paper, the systemic method for automatic generation of explicit Robot programs (ERP) from task-level commands is described. Specifically, a 3-step procedure including Robot task decomposition, task synchronization and ERP generation is presented.

This paper introduces a method to automate process design using Case Based Reasoning technique. A case is represented hierarchically through functional requirement, behavioral model, and process mechanism model. Specifically, a case retrieval algorithm to use function and behavior, case adaptation method to use hierarchical case representation, and a machine selection method are presented.

As the reliability of a tripod support structure with suction buckets should be evaluated by avoiding resonance, an efficient method to predict natural frequency, which is also known as an effective tool to show the existence of damage in wind turbines, is suggested. The whole structure is modeled by beam elements, while a nacelle with blades is considered as a mass. A boundary condition of the suction buckets is described by a serial combination of stiffness elements for soil and a connecting part of a suction bucket. Then, an effective structural health monitoring (SHM) system is developed to validate the proposed modelling method. Accelerometers, strain gauge and various sensors for measurement of sea environment are installed in proper locations, and measured natural frequency is extracted by measured bending strain. It is validated that the measured natural frequency is the almost the same as the predicted one, with an error rate below 1%, and the natural frequency has sufficient margin to major excitation frequencies such as 1P and 3P. Also, it is observed that the measured natural frequency is constant for 3 months.

Bill of Material (BOM) is a list that explicitly represents the quantities of parts and the parent-children relationships between parts necessary to produce one unit of the final product. BOM is widely used to store and organize the product-related information, such as drawing, product specification, packing list & spec., after-service record. etc. Also, the information derived from BOM is used in almost every stage of production, such as material requirement planning, production process control and production planning. Therefore, effective control and generation of BOM is important for productivity improvement. This paper aims at presenting a method of automatic generation of BOM by using the case-based reasoning techniques. specifically, the representation of BOM as case, case retrieval and reusing methods are presented.
