Faced with unbalanced grid operation mode, the high voltage direct current (HVDC) based on voltage source converter (VSC) can be properly controlled by a dual current control scheme. For the modular multilevel converter (MMC) controlling the AC side current is able to limit the arm current which flows along the IGBT of submodule (SM) to rated current. However the limitation of the arm current results in leaving the control range of active power at MMC confined to below the rated capacity. As a result, limiting the arm current causes the problem that the DC side voltage of the HVDC can not be controlled to the reference value since MMC HVDC adjusts the DC side voltage through the active power. In this paper, we propose the algorithm adjusting the active powers of both MMCs to resolve the problem. The back-to-back MMC HVDC applying the algorithm is modeled by PSCAD/EMTDC to verify the algorithm.
코로나19와 산업 구조조정 - 항공산업과 자동차산업을 중심으로 -

코로나19 대유행은 디지털화와 플랫폼 산업의 확산을 가속화하고 양극화와 독점을 심화시키며, 다른 한편으로는 기후와 환경 문제의 중요성을 부각시키고 있다. 탈세계화와 미중 무역 분쟁이라는 환경적 요인과 한국 경제의 구조적 문제점이라는 내생적 요인과 맞물려 코로나19 대유행은 정부의 적극적인 산업 구조 조정 정책을 요구하고 있다. 그러나 정부의 한국판 뉴딜 정책은 이런 산업 구조 조정과 경제 구조 개혁을 담고 있지 못하다. 본 연구는 코로나19 충격이 크고 또 지속될 산업으로서 항공산업과 친환경·융합형 혁신이 급격히 일어나고 있는 산업으로서 자동차산업에서 구조조정 문제를 심층적으로 분석함으로써, 산업별 노사정을 통한 사업재편과 지방자치단체 단위에서 적극적 고용정책을 시행할 필요가 있음을 제언한다. The COVID 19 pandemic accelerates digital transformation and expends platform industry, which leads to deepening economic monopoly and polarization on the one hand and social awareness of climate change on the other hand. In addition, the Korean economy is faced with anti-globalization and US-China trade disputes. Hence, the Korean government cannot avoid any longer the economic reform and the structural changes of major industries for sustainable growth. However, the K New Deal proposed by the Moon Administration does not meet this necessity. The paper analyzes the airline industry, which may suffer from ongoing demand shocks due to this pandemic, and the automobile industry, which has experienced eco-friendly and convergence innovations, aiming to make some policy proposals such as industry-level Tripartite talks for structural reform and active labor market initiatives in the local government level.
손의 굽힘과 폄 동작 상상과 ERD(Event Related Desynchronization)/ERS(Event Related Synchronization)의 상관성에 관한 연구

This study was to identify the possibility of proposing BCI (Brain Computer Interface) for the severely disabled. To do so, we tried to identify ERD and ERS caused by imagining hand movements: open and close the right hand. Five undergraduate and graduate students of Sangmyung University (male: 3, female: 2) participated in the experiment. Instructions for envisaging the hand movements were displayed on a 17 inch LCD monitor. The experimental sequences were designed as follows: rest time of 20 seconds was imposed before the task. Then, the tests were performed under two sets of conditions: 30 test and 10 training sessions. In each test and training session, 3 seconds and 5 seconds was assigned as stimulus and rest time respectively. ERD and ERS were extracted from the β(13-30㎐) and μ(8-12㎐) wave area under two different hand movements. A Mann Whitney U test was performed to identify significant difference between the two hand movements. As a result, a significant difference was observed between opening and closing the right hand (p < 0.05). The results imply that it is possible to utilize ERD and ERS signals for helping the disabled to interact with their environments. The proposed method is expected to be a framework in developing an interactive system for the disabled.
흰쥐의 척수손상 모델에 제대혈유래 중간엽줄기세포의 이식부위에 대한 행동학적 움직임에 관한 연구

Multipotential mesenchyman stem cells (MSCs) can differentiate into the neural cells in vitro and they have been shown to promote neuronal survival and functional recovery after implantation into various neurological disease models such as cerebral infarction, brain trauma, spinal cord injury and Parkinson disease. In this study, we examined the effect of human umbilical cord blood-derived MSCs (hUCB-MSCs) on spinal cord injury (SCI) model saccording to the transplantation site through functional recovery test, cavity volume and migration to injury site. The spinal cord was injured by contusion using a weight-drop at the level of T9. The seven days after injury, the hUCB-MSCs (5 × 105 cells/?l) labeled with PKH26 were transplanted into rostral, caudal, epicenter sites of SCI. The results were: (1) a behavioral test (BBB score) showed a significant functional improvement in groups that had transplanted MSCs into rostral site as compared to transplanted group into caudal or epicenter site, (2) the cavity volume was the smallest in MSCs transplanted groups into rostral site, and (3) PKH26-labeled cells observed around the injury site were a greater in MSCs transplanted group into rostral site than other groups. Taken together, rostral site would be a valuable when performing stem cell transplantation therapy for treating SCI.
