우리나라 硏究用 原子爐 TRIGA Mark Ⅱ에 依한 無擔體의 Fe-59를 製造할 目的으로 分離法과 放射化學的 純度 및 核反應斷面積을 檢討하였다. 分離된 Fe-59를 ${\gamma}$-ray spectrometry와 半減期測定에 依하여 純度를 定한 結果 99.9%以上이었다. Possibility on carrier-free Fe-59 preparation by Korean TRIGA Mark Ⅱ reactor was investigated, namely average cross section on $Co^{59}$(n,p) $Fe^{59}$ reaction, separation by anion exchange resin and radiochemical purity. Radiochemical purity of Fe-59 separated was checked by the method of ${\gamma}$-ray spectrometry with 256-multichannel pulse height analyzer and of half life determination. This method permits Fe-59 preparation with radiochemical purity of > 99.9%.
Determination of Ba-140 in Fission Products by Substoichiometry

In previous paper, the determination procedure of fission products mainly consists of many steps which are usually derived from classical analysis schemes. In the present paper a simple and more rapid method of the determination of fission products by means of a smaller amount of reagent than that correspond to the stoichiometric ratio of element to be determined is investigated. The yield of Ba-140 in fission products is determined by this method. 핵봉괴생성물을 정량함에 있어서 가한 carrier의 당량보다 적은 양의 시약으로 분리 회수하므로서 보다 신속하고 선택적으로 해당원소의 핵붕괴수률을 결정하였다.

Uranium-thorium separation technique from shallow sediment and ${\alpha}$-source electrodeposition technique are established in the present work, and uranium series disequilibrium dating method is applied to the quaternary piston core from Sangback-do, South Sea of Korean Peninsula. The age of the piston core (depth 200~300cm) sampled from Latitude $34^{\circ}06^{\prime}37^{{\prime}{\prime}}$, Longitude $127^{\circ}37^{\prime}37^{{\prime}{\prime}}$ was determined as ranging from $9.0{\pm}2.2$ to $22.9{\pm}3.3$ Ky B.P, i.e., Later Pleistocene, older than Holocene which was stratigraphically known in the previous study. The sedimentation rate in the area is regularly increased according to the depth of the sedimentation layer. Except a few split sections of the piston core the sedimentation rates are avarage 7.2cm/1,000 years. Where sedimentation layer is deeper, then sedimentation rate tend to be slower. It must be pointed in age calculation that initial $^{230}Th/^{234}U$ radioactivity ratio is much influenced when detrital material was introduced in the sample. The $^{230}Th/^{234}U$ activity ratio measured in the present work is 0.06 at $^{232}Th=0$, and this value shows higher analytical errors because of the low· radioactivity of $^{230}Th$ in the samples.
고성능 액체 크로마토그래피에 의한 기능성 헤테로 고리 화합물의 분리(II)

헤테로 고리 화합물인 isoquinoline과 외부치환체로서 $COOCH_3$, CN 및 $CH_3$ 작용기들이 치환된 화합물들의 혼합물을 정상 및 역상법으로 분리 한 결과, 이동상의 종류에 따라 용리순서에 용매화 효과가 나타났다. 또한, 헤테로 고리 화합물 내부의 방향족성이 없는 2-methylindoline과 방향족성이 있는 2-methylindole, 그리고 헤테로 원자가 질소와 산소인 benzoxazole과 질소와 황인 benzothiazole의 머무름거동은 정상 액체 크로마토그래피의 경우 시료 분자와 충진제의 흡착 표면과의 흡착력으로 설명할 수 있었고, 역상 액체 크로마토그래피의 경우는 시료와 정지상과의 소수성 상호작용 등으로 설명할 수 있었다. Normal phase or reversed phase liquid chromatographic separation of isoquinoline of heterocyclic compounds and structural isomers of external substituents, $COOCH_3$, CN and $CH_3$ has been carried out by using several different columns and various mobile phases. From this results, the order of elution of heterocyclic compounds appears to depend on the solvent effect with kinds of mobile phases. Retention mechanism of normal phase system for 2-methylindoline, 2-methylindole, benzoxazole and benzothiazole was also studied depending on adsorption strength between solute and stationary phase of column. However, retention factors of reversed phase system were found on hydrophobic interaction with solvophobic effect.
