Purpose: To compare the effects of different volumes of sub-Tenon`s anesthetic on intraocular pressure (IOP) and to evaluate the treatment efficacy of vitreoretinal surgery. Methods: A prospective, clinical trial was conducted on patients undergoing sub-Tenon`s anesthesea for vitreoretinal surgery. Patients were randomized to receive either 3 mL, 5 mL or 7 mL of anesthetic solution. IOPs were measured immediately prior to, immediately after, and at 2, 5 and 10 min after the injection. Pain scores were assigned using a numerical visual analogue scale immediately following surgery and again on postoperative day one. Results: A total of 108 patients (119 eyes) were studied, including 35 eyes in the 3 mL group, 48 eyes in the 5 mL group, and 36 eyes in the 7 mL group. There was significant elevation in mean IOP following injection in all groups and a trend toward a larger increase in the group receiving the larger volume (p<0.01). Mean IOPs were elevated immediately after the injections and reduced at all subsequent time intervals. But reduction to the pre-injection level was only achieved in the 3 mL group. There was no significant difference in patient-reported pain scores among the groups when assessed immediately after surgery or on postoperative day one. The incidence of chemosis and high IOP elevation (40 mmHg ≤) was more frequent in the 7 mL group than the other groups (p<0.05). Conclusions: Sub-Tenon`s anesthesia is effective in vitreoretinal surgery. It would appear that a 3-5 mL volume of anesthetic is safe even when complications are considered.
유기인산계 추출제로 합성한 이온성액체에 의한 묽은 염산용액에서 코발트(II)와 니켈(II)의 추출분리

In order to investigate the separation of Co(II) and Ni(II) by ionic liquids from weak hydrochloric acid solutions, extraction experiments were performed by changing the type and concentration of ionic liquids and the initial pH of the aqueous phase. Two kinds of ionic liquids based on Aliquat 336 were employed in this work; one was synthesized by reacting organophosphorus acids(D2EHPA, PC88A, Cyanex 272, Cyanex 301) with Aliquat 336 and the other was prepared by exchanging the chloride ion of Aliquat 336 with SCN-. The three types of ionic liquids (ALi-D2, ALi-PC, and ALi-CY272) showed better extraction of Co(II) than Ni(II), and the equilibrium pH was higher than the initial pH. In the case of ALi-CY301, the selectivity of Co(II) and Ni(II) depended on the extraction conditions. In addition, the effect of the addition of TBP to the ionic liquid on the extraction of two metals was also investigated. Employment of ALi-SCN as an extractant resulted in selective extraction of Co(II) and complete separation of the two metal ions was possible. 묽은 염산용액에서 이온성액체에 의한 코발트(II)와 니켈(II)의 분리를 조사하기 위해 이온성액체의 종류와 농도 및 수상의 초기 pH를변화시켜 추출실험을 수행했다. 본 논문에서는 유기인산(D2EHPA, PC88A, Cyanex 272, Cyanex 301)을 Aliquat 336과 반응시켜 제조한 이온성액체와 Aliquat 336의 염소이온을 SCN-과 치환한 이온성액체를 사용했다. 세 종류의 이온성액체(ALi-D2, ALi-PC, ALi- CY272)에 코발트(II)가 니켈(II)보다 추출이 잘 되었으며 평형 pH가 초기 pH보다 높았다. ALi-CY301의 경우 코발트(II)와 니켈(II)의 선택도는 추출조건에 의존했다. 또한 상기 이온성액체에 TBP의 첨가가 두 금속의 추출에 미치는 영향도 조사했다. 추출제로 ALi-SCN를사용하는 조건에서 코발트(II)가 선택적으로 추출되어 두 금속을 완전히 분리하는 것이 가능했다.
황산용액에서 용매추출에 의한 코발트(II), 니켈(II) 및 구리(II) 분리

폐리튬이온배터리를 고온에서 용융환원시키면 코발트, 니켈 및 구리 금속합금상을 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 금속합금상으로부터 금속을분리회수하기 위한 공정을 개발하기 위해 코발트, 니켈 및 구리 금속을 혼합한 금속혼합물을 3% 과산화수소를 함유한 2 M 황산용액으로침출하면 9.6%의 구리와 함께 코발트와 니켈이 모두 침출된다. 침출용액에서 Cyanex 301로 구리(II)가 선택적으로 추출되었으며, 30% 왕수로 구리(II)를 탈거했다. 구리가 분리된 여액에서 이온성액체인 ALi-SCN으로 Co(II)를 선택적으로 추출했으며, 15%의 암모니아용액으로 3단의 교차식 탈거를 통해 모두 탈거했다. 본 연구를 통해 코발트, 니켈 및 구리 금속혼합물의 황산침출액에서 용매추출로 세 금속을 분리할 수 있는 공정을 제안했다. The smelting reduction of spent lithium-ion batteries results in metallic alloys of cobalt, nickel, and copper. To develop a process to separate the metallic alloys, leaching of the metallic mixtures of these three metals with H2SO4 solution containing 3% H2O2 dissolved all the cobalt and nickel, together with 9.6% of the copper. Cyanex 301 selectively extracted Cu(II) from the leaching solution, and copper ions were completely stripped with 30% aqua regia. Selective extraction of Co(II) from a Cu(II)-free raffinate was possible using the ionic liquid ALi-SCN. Three-stage cross-current stripping of the loaded ALi-SCN by a 15% NH3 solution resulted in the complete stripping of Co(II). A process was proposed to separate the three metal ions from the sulfuric acid leaching solutions of metallic mixtures by employing solvent extraction.

Smelting reduction of spent lithium-ion batteries results in the production of metallic alloys in which reduced cobalt, nickel and copper coexist. In this study, we investigated the leaching of the metallic alloys containing the above three metals together with iron, manganese, and silicon. The mixture of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent was employed, and the effect of the concentration thereof, the reaction time and temperature, and pulp density was investigated to accomplish the complete leaching of cobalt, nickel, and copper. The effect of the hydrogen peroxide concentration and pulp density on the leaching was prominent, compared to that of reaction time and temperature, especially in the range of 20 to 80℃. The complete leaching of the metals present in metallic alloys, except silicon, was accomplished using 2 M HCl and 5% H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> with a pulp density of 30 g/L for 150 min at 60℃.

Leaching experiments from single metal and metallic mixtures were conducted to develop a process for the recovery of cobalt, copper, and nickel in spent lithium ion batteries. Inorganic and organic acid solutions without oxidizing agents were employed. No copper was dissolved in the absence of an oxidizing agent in the leaching solutions. The leaching condition to completely dissolve single metal of cobalt and nickel was determined based on acid concentration, reaction temperature and time, and pulp density. The leaching condition to dissolve all of cobalt and nickel from the metallic mixtures was also obtained. Leaching of the metallic mixture with methanesulfonic acid led to selective dissolution of cobalt at low temperatures.

Spent lithium-ion batteries are treated by reduction-smelting at high temperatures to recover valuable metals. Solvent extraction and precipitation of the HCl leaching solution of reduction-smelted metallic alloys resulted in a filtrate containing Ni(II) and a small amount of Si(IV). Adsorption and precipitation experiments were conducted to recover pure Ni(II) compounds from the filtrate. Si(IV) was selectively loaded onto polyacrylamide, but this method did not efficiently filter the solution due to an increase in viscosity. The addition of Na2CO3 as a precipitant to the filtrate led to the simultaneous precipitation of Ni(II) and Si(IV). However, it was possible to recover nickel oxalate with a purity higher than 99.99% by selectively precipitating Ni(II) with the addition of Na2C2O4 as a precipitant. 폐리튬이온배터리에 함유된 유가금속을 회수하기 위해 고온에서 용융환원처리한다. 용융환원된 금속상을 염산용액으로 침출한 다음용매추출과 침전으로 유가금속을 분리한 여과액에는 니켈(II)과 미량의 규소(IV)가 함유되어 있다. 여액으로부터 고순도 니켈화합물을회수하기 위해 흡착법에 의한 규소(IV)의 분리와 니켈(II)의 선택적 침전에 대해 조사했다. Polyacrylamide는 규소(IV)를 선택적으로 흡착했으나 용액의 점도 역시 증가하여 여과가 어렵다. 침전제로 탄산나트륨을 첨가하면 니켈(II)과 미량의 규소(IV)가 공침되었다. 반면옥살산나트륨은 상온에서 니켈(II)만을 선택적으로 침전시켜 순도 99.99% 이상의 니켈옥살산염 결정상을 회수할 수 있었다.
유리체강내 가스주입술로 치유된 모양체해리를 동반한 저안압 망막병증

Purpose: We report a case of post-traumatic hypotony retinopathy with cyclodialysis cleft treated by intravitreal gas injection. Methods: A 38-year-old man presented with decreased visual acuity after blunt trauma to the left eye. Visual acuity of the left eye was 0.06 and intraocular pressure was 1 mmHg. No external wound was found. The anterior chamber showed a microscopic hyphema and, upon funduscopic examination, mild macular edema and striae were seen. The cyclodialysis was identified using gonioscopy. We treated the patient with intravitreal gas (perfluoropropane, C3F8) injection under topical anesthesia and tracked the outcome of this treatment. Results: On the first postoperative day, intraocular pressure fell to the normal range. After 7 days the visual acuity improved to 1.0. During a follow-up period of 10 months, intraocular pressure and visual acuity remained in their normal range. Conclusions: Intravitreal gas injection offers a safe and effective method of treating hypotony retinopathy with cyclodialysis cleft.
보존 대퇴근막을 이용한 변형된 크로포드법에 의한 이마근걸이술

Purpose: For the correction of ptosis with very poor levator function, frontalis sling operation with various materials has been used. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the modified Crawford technique using preserved fascia lata. Methods: The photographs and charts of 46 patients who underwent frontalis sling operation using preserved fascia lata from June 2001 to February 2004 at our hospital were retrospectively reviewed. The eyelid crease approach was used with the suturing of the sling material directly to the tarsus. Results: The patients were 27 males and 19 females. There were 20 (44%) unilateral cases and 26 (56%) bilateral cases. The age of the patients ranged from 1 to 65 years at the time of surgery, with an average age of 8.3 years. The success rate was 93% (43/46 patients) for a mean postoperative follow-up of 9 months (range 4~26 months). The complications consisted of one case of overcorrection and 2 cases of undercorrection. Knot exposure occurred in 2 cases. Conclusions: The modified Crawford technique using preserved fascia lata appears to be an effective treatment for severe ptosis. The lid crease formation provides good cosmetic results and the direct suturing of the preserved fascia lata to the tarsus prevents its migration.
주거만족을 통한 도시 활성화에 관한 연구 : 전주시를 중심으로

Regarding the Jeonju region, the innovative city construction has been forming to be the largest among the new cities. And the situation is such that the new cities have been expanding with the new city of the Haga District and the Jeonju New Town over 10 years ago as the standards. As a result, by taking a look at the differences between the natives who moved when the Jeonju New City had been created and the residency of the dwelling in the old and original city centers, by making the regenerative businesses regarding the old and original city centers smooth, and by comparing with the levels of the satisfactions with the dwellings of the residents in the new city, I will be able to provide the materials needed for the accompanied growth within the downtown of Jeonju, and, at the same time, I will be able to give the proposals and the advices regarding the developments of the other innovation cities and the old and original city centers, too As the result of a path coefficient significance test regarding the factors of the level of satisfaction with the dwelling in the old and original city centers in the Jeonju City, the intention to reside for a long time, and the intention to recommend, as for a factor that gives the influence on the level of satisfaction with regard to residing in the old and original city centers of the Jeonju City, it appeared as being the special characteristic of the location with the positive (+) influence at 0.387. As the result of a path coefficient significance test regarding the factors of the level of satisfaction with the dwelling in new city of the Jeonju City, the intention to reside for a long time, and the intention to recommend, as for a factor that gives the influence on the level of satisfaction with regard to residing in the new city of the Jeonju City, it appeared as being the special characteristic of the location with the positive (+) influence at 0.312. And, as for a factor that gives the influence on the intention to recommend, it was the special, social, and cultural characteristics. And it appeared as having the negative (-) influence at - 0.203. It is judged that the intention to recommend was lower because, in the case of a new city, the accessibility to the public facilities and the cultural facilities falls low. Such a problem of the old and original city centers within the cities and such a problem of the new cities are the problems that have been had internally by the cities, and not only Jeonju, while they have been growing. And the somewhat more improved drawing of the results through such a research in the future is demanded, and this is a task for the future.
