The author analyzed the proper time and situation for stopping life sustaining equipment on the chronically unconscious patients and terminal patients. As you know, everyone thinks about death in case he or she suffers a chronic conscious disease or terminal illness, but many cannot decide on the concept of when he or she should start the thought process of stopping active treatment such as respiratory ventilators. But, everyone should know the status of patients who lost his or her consciousness and have to decide the critical points of stopping those treatments. So I have made a very useful methodological map and graphics for the decision whether or not one should start thinking of stopping the active treatment for the lost patients. Additionally, I have analyzed the opinions of the juries of the Supreme Court which concluded the sentence about Ms. Kim`s controversial trial of whether or not stopping her respiratory ventilator in 2009 in Korea. In conclusion, I have created a very useful timetable for the decision making process about the stopping of life-sustaining equipment for the consciously obliterated patients who have suffered from terminal disease for many years. This map and graphics will be useful for decision about the stopping the life sustaining treatment for the persistent vegetative states and terminal patients who lost his or her consciousness. In the future, people should study about the various spectrums of unresponsible wakefulness syndromes like persistent vegetative states and minimal consciousness syndrome.

반도체 스위칭 소자를 이용한 임펄스 착자기의 비용 산정 및 경제성 분석

반도체 스위칭소자를 이용한 커패시터 방전 임펄스 착자기는 착자요크에 순간적인 고전류 임펄스를 방전시켜 여러 종류의 영구자석을 생산하는데 사용된다. 요즈음 이러한 착자기의 비용은 상당히 고가이다. 본 연구에서는 반도체 스위칭 소자를 이용한 커패시터 방전 임펄스 착자기의 비용산정을 위한 방법 및 그 경제적 분석에 대하여 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 5개의 부시스템으로 구성되는 비용 구조를 이용하였다. 특히 Learning Curve를 이용한 임펄스 착자기의 비용감소 및 평가절하에 의한 비용의 변동추이를 관찰하였다. 중용량 착자기와 연결된 철심요크 (브러시레스 직류모터의 8극 회전자 자석용)를 이용하여 신뢰할 수 있는 결과를 얻었다. A capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer using semiconductor switching device is used to produce a high current impulse of short duration in a magnetizing fixture for magnets of the various shapes. The price of today's magnetizer is relatively expensive. This paper described a method for cost estimation of capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer using semiconductor switching device and the economical efficiency analysis. We used a cost structure consisted of five major subsystems. Especially, we estimated the potential for a cost reductions in impulse magnetizer as a function of time using the learning curve, and the potentials of cost by depreciation. The reliable results were obtained by using iron-core fixture coupled to a middle-voltage magnetizer.

The purpose of this study is to analyze patterns of public school building layout types, open space and relationship with communities in the Manhattan grid plan. The study illustrates how building layout patterns of school facilities are influenced by societal demands in the urban grid environment. During the nineteenth century, the Island of Manhattan was transformed into a physical representation of the Cartesian coordinate system via the development of the grid street plan. In order to take advantage of streets as urban space, it is quite important to understand characteristics of communities and open space relationships between buildings and streets. Moreover, the strategic planning of schools' outdoor space vitalizes public streets as a critical community anchor. This research reviews 118 Manhattan public schools and categorizes them by (1) building layout type, (2) site type, (3) circulation and public open space, which are the biggest factors that determine the layout patterns of the public schools in Manhattan. As a result of analysis, the layout patterns are classified into seven types : "ㅡ", "L", "ㄷ", "ㅁ", "H", "T" and "other" type. Of these, "ㅡ" type and "L" type occur most frequently, because these configurations most flexibly fit into the limited grid-locked blocks, the various types of site & topography, and adapt most dynamically to the open spaces created by using avenues and streets. The ultimate objective of this study is to provide a case study for future efforts to plan open spaces for campuses that effectively utilize the streets in proximity.

소아 농가진 환자 1례에 대한 임상 고찰

사외이사의 비중과 기업 인수합병 성과와의 관계: 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 겸임에 의한 상호작용 효과

본 연구에서는 자원의존이론을 이용하여 사외이사 비중과 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 겸임 효과가 하이테크 산업에 속해 있는 국내 상장기업의 인수합병 성과에 미치는 영향을 2004년부터 2012년까지 수행된 인수합병거래 246개를 대상으로 실증 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 사외이사 비중은 인수합병 성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 최고경영자가 이사회 의장직을 겸임하는 경우 인수합병 성과에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사외이사의 비중과 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 겸임이 지닌 상호작용의 효과를 살펴본 결과, 최고경영자가 이사회 의장직을 겸임하는 경우 사외이사의 비중이 인수합병 성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 이사회 의장이 독립적인 지위를 가지는 경우 사외이사의 비중이 인수합병 성과에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 연구결과의 타당성을 확보하기 위해 상호작용항을 통한 회귀분석 및 다양한 사건기간을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하여 동일한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 최고경영자가 이사회 의장직을 겸임하는 경우 리더십 강화 및 조직 내 지휘체계 확립으로 인해 기업 외부의 이해관계자로부터 정당성을 확보하게 된다. 이를 통해 이사회의 자원의존 기능이 강화되며 인수합병 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 해석된다. 반대로 이사회 의장이 독립적인 지위를 가지는 경우 최고경영자의 최고책임자로서의 외부 정당성이 약화된다. 따라서 이사회의 자원의존 기능이 감소되고 인수합병 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 기존의 선행연구에서는 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 분리의 긍정적인 효과에 대해서 주목하였다면, 본 연구에서는 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 겸임의 긍정적인 효과를 실증적으로 보여주었다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다고 생각한다. This study examined the effects of outside directors and CEO duality on acquisition strategies and performance of Korean firms in high-technology industry. Based on the resource dependence theory, we focused on the service and resource-dependence roles from board of directors in the process of decision-making of acquisition strategies. In addition, CEO opportunism behavior rises when CEO serves as chairperson of board and induces the negative effects on acquisition performance. Specifically, we investigated the interaction effects between outside directors ratio and CEO duality. For the period of 2004 to 2012, 246 acquisitions of Korean firms in high-technology industry were analyzed to test our intended hypotheses. Our results indicate that there exist positive relationship between outside director ratio and acquisition performance for Korean high-technology firms. Negative associations prevail between CEO duality and performance consequences of acquisitions. While outside director ratio has a positive effect on acquisition performance when there is a presence of CEO duality, negative effect prevail for outside director ratio on acquisition performance in the absence of CEO duality position to hold our interaction hypothesis. The favor of dual structure can be explained with implications referring to unity of command and strong leadership driven from CEO duality that enhances the resource dependence roles of board of directors in the context of high-technology industry acquisition behaviors rendered by Korean firms.

소형비행기 동정압 시스템 보정을 위한 비행시험방안 연구
