        진동이 성대세포주의 세포외기질 변화에 대한 연구

        Background and Objectives During speech, the vocal folds oscillate at frequencies ranging from 100-200 Hz with amplitudes of a few millimeters. Mechanical stimulation is an essential factor which affects metabolism of human vocal folds. The effect of mechanical vibration on the cellular response in the human vocal fold fibroblasts cells (hVFFs) was evaluated. Materials and Method We created a culture systemic device capable of generating vibratory stimulations at human phonation frequencies. To establish optimal cell culture condition, cellular proliferation and viability assay was examined. Quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction was used to assess extracellular matrix (ECM) related and growth factors expression on response to changes in vibratory frequency and amplitude. Western blot was used to investigate ECM and inflammation-related transcription factor activation and its related cellular signaling transduction pathway. Results The cell viability was stable with vibratory stimulation within 24 h. A statistically significant increase of ECM genes (collagen type I alpha 1 and collagen type I alpha 2) and growth factor [transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) and fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF-1)] observe under the experimental conditions. Vibratory stimulation induced transcriptional activation of NF-κB by phosphorylation of p65 subunit through cellular Mitogen-activated protein kinases activation by extracellular signal regulated kinase and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) phosphorylation on hVFFs. Conclusion This study confirmed enhancing synthesis of collagen, TGF-β1 and FGF was testified by vibratory stimulation on hVFFs. This mechanism is thought to be due to the activation of NF-κB and MAPKs. Taken together, these results demonstrate that vibratory bioreactor may be a suitable alternative to hVFFs for studying vocal folds cellular response to vibratory vocalization.

        전통적 문화요소에 바탕을 둔 미래의 도서지역 주거 모델 개발에 관한 기초 연구

        This paper is an architectural paper which has been studied about dowelling form and culture in southwestern island area of Korea from 18C up to now. The goal of this research is to present the basic data in new modeling development of dwelling house. This area had less cultural interchange than inland area because of geographical conditions. Therefore, so far, many traditional factors have been handed down and especially, a good many commoner's traditional houses exit. The traditional houses is composed of Anchae (a central house), Sarangchae (an attached house of Anchae). Sometimes, Sarangchae was ommitted according to the circumstance of the house. Generally, the form of arrangement of house is divided into two shapes; One is 'ㅡ' shape which has only Anchae and the other is 'ㄱ' shape which has Anchae and Sarangchae. Approximately, since 1970's, new type of house has been built in this area. Usually, Inside this house are living room, kitchen, toilet, utility and 3 rooms. Wall is made of brick and roof is made of concrete's slabe. We can not find the traditional culture in this type of houses. The house in the futrue, the factors of cuture and the convenience of the present age have to be coexisted.

        피트모스 첨가사료가 육계의 생산성에 미치는 영향

        최근까지 피트모스에 대한 연구는 식물 생장촉진제, 비료대체제 및 토양오염 복원제로서의 기능에 관한 분야가 대부분이었다. 본 연구에서는 사료첨가제로서 피트모스 추출물을 이용하여 육계의 생산성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험 1에서는 14일령의 Ross 150수를 각 10수씩 5개의 처리구(0.0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.8% 및 1.6% PM)로 3번 무작위로 반복 배치되었고, 28일령까지 2주 동안 5개의 피트모스 첨가사료를 급여하였다. 실험 2에서는 7일령의 Ross 198수를 각 22수씩 3개의 처리구(0.0%, 0.2% 및 0.4% PM)로 3번 무작위로 반복 배치되었고, 28일령까지 3주 동안 3개의 피트모스 첨가사료를 급여하였다. 그 결과, 피트모스 함량이 0.2% 또는 0.4%가 첨가된 사료를 2주 동안 급여하였을 때, 대조구에 비해 음수량, 체중, 증체량 및 사료효율이 유의하게 증가한 반면, 사료섭취량에서는 차이가 없었다. 그러나 피트모스 첨가 사료를 3주 이상 급여하였을 경우 그 효과는 감소하였다. 사료 피트모스 함량이 0.8% 이상 급여되면 사료섭취량, 체중 그리고 증체량은 유의하게 감소하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 피트모스의 적정 첨가 비율과 급여 기간은 각각 0.4% 및 2주이며, 사료첨가제로서의 피트모스의 가능성을 시사한다. Peat moss has been found to be useful as a plant growth substance, fertilizer, and soil solution. It is not known, however, whether dietary peat moss affects performance in broilers. In the present study, we investigated the effects of dietary peat moss as a feed ingredient in broilers. Experimental diets were prepared by mixing basal feed with PM at 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, and 1.6%. In experiment 1, 150 14-day-old Ross broiler chicks were housed for 2 weeks in 15 pens that were randomly assigned into five groups (0.0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.8% and 1.6% PM). Dietary peat moss at 0.2% and 0.4% significantly increased the water intake, body weight, weight gain and feed efficiency compared with the control (0.0% PM, P<0.05) but did not affect feed intake. Higher levels of PM (0.8 and 1.6%) significantly decreased feed intake, body weight and weight gain. In experiment 2, 198 7-day-old Ross chicks were housed for 3 weeks in nine pens that were randomly assigned into three groups (0.0%, 0.2% and 0.4% PM). When the broilers were fed with dietary peat moss for 3 weeks, the peat moss effects disappeared. The results of the current study show that low amounts of dietary peat moss may exert beneficial effects on performance in broilers.

        남서해 도서 민가의 '마리' 공간 연구

        This study mainly examined the unit space (room) called 'MARI' of the private houses that were built between the 19c and the early 20c in the insular areas of southwestern sea. Generally, this region has unique historicity (restructure of the insular environment in the 17c and the 18c) and geographic environment that are different from inland regions thus the environment is presumed as a related factor to developments and structures of the private houses. 'MARI' is a noticeable space that is installed in a main building without an exception even in small 3 bedroom private houses. Its nature has location and usage distinctions in an architectural plan with similar 'MARU' of inland Jeollanam-Do. There are large crocks filled with grains at MARI. Thus, MARI is a storage room. Mostly rice and various other kinds of grains are stored in the several crocks, large and small. Many household goods are kept here as well. Another peculiar function of MARI is that this space commonly enshrines ancestral tablets of three generations. Hence, MARI takes a role of a shrine of an aristocratic house from an inland region. Considering the size of the house and space, this seems to be a very unprecedented utilization of area. MARI is located at the top (at the head of the house) on the floor plan. In other words, it is located at the space in the highest rank. The importance of ancestor worship and grains is evinced architecturally. It is really interesting fact that MARI is also located within recently built modern houses (Cheongsan Island, Joyak Island, etc.). Therefore, it can be said that the unique MARI tradition of this region has an intact continuity even today. After all, MARI has a great significance as a unique unit space of insular areas of southwestern sea that is installed in the main buildings of all houses regardless of size and shape of the houses, and their insular locations.

      • F-88 Evaluation of relationship between insurance status and treatment outcomes among lung cancer patients in Korea

        Background: Unlike western countries, Korea has unique health insurance system, represented by Benefit strengthening policy and medical insurance system, which have dramatically reduced medical cost of cancer patients and thus minimize differences in access to medical resources. We intend to evaluate if there is any difference in receiving adequate treatment and treatment outcome among lung cancer patients according to their insurance status in Korea. Method: We enrolled patients who were newly diagnosed with NSCLC between June 2011 and December 2015 in Seoul National University Hospital. We retrospectively reviewed demographics, tumor stage, treatment selection and survival. Results: Of 2450 patients with NSLCL, 2398 were with medical insurance and 52 were with medical aid. Although there were no statistically significant differences in age, sex, smoking history or tumor stage, those with medical aid were more likely to have worse performance status at diagnosis (p=0.024) and less likely to detect cancer with routine screening (8.1%vs.30.0%,p=0.008) but with symptoms. Those with medical aid were less likely to receive initial adequate treatment (87.5%vs.93.4%,p=0.033). This difference was also true in those with early stage NSCLC for receiving resectional surgery (84.6%vs.93.4%,p=0.033), which was consistent with previous data among US patients. Patients with medical aid had inferior survival compared to those with medical insurance (3.19vs.2.01 years). Conclusion: Patients with medial aid were less likely to receive adequate treatment and had inferior overall survival.

      • 급격한 사육환경의 변화가 가금의 생산성과 스트레스에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 급격한 사육환경의 변화가 가금의 생산성과 스트레스 반응에 미치는 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 한달 이상 사육실에서 방사된 하이라인 갈색 산란계를 무작위로 두 집단으로 나누어 반을 계속해서 같은 방사환경에서, 다른 나머지 반을 관행 케이지에서 수용하여 사육하였다. 이러한 갑작스런 사육환경의 변화는 산란율 그리고 농후난백의 높이를 증가시켰고 (P<0.05), Haugh unit를 증가시키는 경향이 있었다 (P<0.061). 그러나 난각두께는 감소되었고 (P<0.05), 난각색은 감소되는 경향이 있었다. 환경변화 후 5일간산란계의 체중에는 변화가 없었으며 실험 종료시에 측정된 간의 색도에도 차이가 없었다. 관행 케이지로 이동된 다음날 혈장 corticosterone 농도는 급격하게 증가하였지만 (P<0.05), 5일째에는 대조구의 수준과 차이가 없었다. 이러한 결과는 급격한 사육환경의 변화는 스트레스 호르몬의 분비를 증가시킨다는 것을 사사한다. 그러나 제한된 실험조건 때문에 생산성에 관한 결과의 해석에 주의해야 할 필요가 있다. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of an unexpected change in housing environment on stress in poultry. Laying hens (Hy-line Brown), adapted to a free-range housing system for more than a month, were randomly divided into two groups to be subjected to an unexpected change of their housing environment: one half of them were individually housed into conventional battery cages and the other continually left in the same housing system throughout the entire period of the study. The sudden change resulted in an increase in egg production and albumen height (P<0.05), but decrease in eggshell thickness (P<0.05). The change had tendency to increase Haugh unit ($P{\leq}0.061$) and to decrease eggshell color ($P{\leq}0.074$), but did not affect body weight for 5 days thereafter. No significant changes were detected in liver color. Plasma concentrations of corticosterone was acutely increased one day after the change (P<0.05), then returned to similar control levels. The results of the present study indicate that unexpected changes in housing environment cause acute increase in stress hormone concentrations, but interpretation of the results should be cautious due to the experimental conditions.

        전남지방의 '$\sqcap$'형 안채 연구

        [ $\sqcap$ ]' shape of Jeonnam Area has not been well-known so far. This study is about when, how and on what type the '$\sqcap$' shape had settled among many 'ㅡ' shape houses. The Anchae of Jeonnam Area which appeared 17C. contrasts with 'ㅡ' shape. Especially, the head family's house might have been expected to develop with special difference. 'ㅡ' shape had been built much more than the '$\sqcap$' shape around 20C when modernization had been ripen. It was big event that '$\sqcap$' shape, the head family's house, had been pulled down and then 'ㅡ' shape had been newly built. (Ui Seong-ryeol house) The reason why 'ㅡ' shape had been built instead of '$\sqcap$' shape might be that people accepted the change of 'modernization', that is to say, people accepted convenience and opening. The plan of '$\sqcap$' shape consists of Daecheong and Anbang at the center of Momche, and Jageunbang and Jangji at both sides. In the '$\sqcap$' shape, the center of Momche is wide dand light unlike 'ㅡ' shape. Unjoru, Nogudang, Yundoseo house have long wing and have more encircling Anmadang than other houses, which are well known for a house for a man of noble birth.

        도서성(Insularity)과 전통성에 바탕을 둔 이상적인 도서지역 주거모델 개발에 관한 연구

        This paper is architectural paper which has been studied about residential culture of Southwestern Island from 18C to now. It's main object is suggest a new residential type. Contents of research is 1, to survey a history and a cultural environment of island. 2. to survey and rearrange residence(traditional, modem) which has been built from the past to the present, and establish a history of residence and a theory. 3. to search for architectural space, shape(form), and architectural community, etc. which can be continued. 4. to suggests ideal future residence type of islands. Effectiveness of Research is 1. This study suggests a new theory and a new method to the field of residential science, especially to the residence of island area. 2. In this study, traditional theory of residence be reflected in the modern architectural design.
