In this paper, an aircraft warning light's optical system was designed using an LED light-source module and a collimating Fresnel lens. As for the optical system, a collimator Fresnel lens was designed for each module to satisfy a vertical-elevation center luminous intensity of 20,000 cd and the divergence-angle luminous-intensity standard conditions of the Ministry of Land for Infrastructure and Transport for aircraft warning lights. In addition, the optical system was optimized by adjusting the position and tilt of the LED light-source module and Fresnel lens. By analyzing and comparing the light-distribution characteristics of the optical system, an aircraft-warning-light optical system with optimal performance was obtained. 본 논문에서는 LED 광원 모듈과 시준용 프레넬 렌즈를 이용하여 항공기 장애등 광학 시스템을 설계하였다. 설계된 광학계는 국토 교통부 항공기 경고등의 수직 양각 중심 광도 20,000 cd와 발산각 광도 규격 조건을 만족시키기 위해 프레넬 렌즈를 모듈별로 설계하였다. 또한 LED 광원 모듈과 프레넬 렌즈의 위치와 기울기를 조정하여 광학 시스템을 최적화하였으며, 이렇게 설계된 광학계의 배광 특성을 분석하고 비교하여 최적의 성능을 가진 항공기 경고등 광학계를 설계하였다.

Objective:The purpose of this study is to determine whether human dendritic cells(DCs) pulsed with glioma apoptotic bodies(GABs) can induce tumor-specific T lymphocytes having cytotoxicities to allogeneic glioma cells matched or mismatched at class I human leukocyte antigen(HLA) loci. Methods:DCs were generated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) of HLA-A2 positive healthy donors cultured in the presence of granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor and interleukin(IL)-4. GABs from HLAA2 positive T98G glioblastoma cells following actinomycin D treatment were pulsed to DCs. CD8+ T lymphocytes isolated from PBMCs of the same donors were cultured in media containing IL-2 and were stimulated by GAB-pulsed DCs three times at weekly interval. Then cytolytic activities of these cytotoxic CD8+ T cells against HLA-A2 positive T98G and U87 glioblastoma cells, and HLA-A2 negative A172 glioblastoma cells were determined by a standard 4hr [51Cr]-release assay. Results:The average percentages of T98G , U87 and A172 cell lysis were 43.7%, 45.6% and 5.1% compared with 3.6% of controls at an effector to target cell ratio of 40:1 respectively. The cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CTLs) primed with HLAA2 positive T98G GAB-pulsed DCs had cytotoxicity to HLA-A2 positive T98G and U87 glioma cells but not to HLAA2 negative A172 cells(p<0.01). Conclusion:This study showed that tumor-specific CTLs generated by stimulations with GAB-pulsed DCs had cytotoxicity to the glioma cells in a HLA-restricted manner. This result suggests the feasibility of the use of HLA-matched allogeneic glioma cells as a source of antigens for patients not eligible for surgery in the DC-based immunotherapy.

A fluid in an enclosure can be heated by electric heating chemical reaction, or fission heat. In order to remove the volumetric heat of the fluid, the walls surrounding the enclosure must be cooled. In this case, a natural convection occurs in the pool of the fluid, and it has a dominant role in heat transfer to the surrounding walls. It can augment the heat transfer rates tens to hundreds times larger than conductive heat transfer. The heat transfer by a natural convection in a regular shape such as a square cavity or semi-circular pool has been studied experimentally and numerically for many years. A pool of an inverted triangular shape with 10 degree inclined bottom walls has a good cooling performance because of enhanced boiling critical heat flux (CHF) compared to horizontal downward surface. The coolability of the pool is determined by comparing the thermal load from the pool and the maximum heat flux removable by cooling mechanism such as radiative or boiling heat transfer on the pool boundaries. In order to evaluate the pool coolability, it is important to correctly expect the thermal load by a natural convection heat transfer of the pool. In this study, turbulence models with modifications for buoyancy effect were validated for unsteady natural convections by volumetric heating. And natural convection in the triangular pool was evaluated by using the models.
