귀족 혁명가 앙토넬 혁명의 순간들을 질주하다

1747년 기사 당토넬로 태어난 피에르 앙투안 앙토넬은 혁명에 적극적으로 가담하여 아를 국민방위군 장교, 최초의 민선시장, 입법의회의원, 혁명재판소 배심원 등으로 활동했다. 테르미도르 반동 이후 평등주의자의 음모에 가담했으나 실패하여 투옥되었고, 이후 급진적인 야당지인 『자유인일보』의 언론인으로서 대의 민주주의를 고안했던 그는 제정 수립 이후에도 자코뱅의 신조를 버리지 않고 저항함으로써, 1817년에 죽을 때까지 귀족이지만 변하지 않는 예외적인 인물로 남았다. 기존의 혁명사 서술에서 잊혀진, 혹은 잘못 알려진 그를 콩도르세와 당통, 로베스피에르 등과 함께 같은 반열에 세운 세르나는 그의 전기를 통해 정통주의와 수정주의의 대립을 벗어나서 프랑스 대혁명을 보는 다른 관점을 제시한다. 귀족으로서 앙토넬은 구체제의 우울증을 앓았으며, 지역에서의 자발적인 지자체 혁명을 이끌었고, 자코뱅에 가담했지만 로베스피에르와 대립했고, 소유의 평등에 대항하여 1793년 헌법의 시민적 평등을 주장함으로써 바뵈프와 달랐으며, 대의 민주주의라는 정치체제를 구상하여 혁명을 평화적으로 완성시키려 하였다. Pierre-Antoine Antonelle, born knight d’Antonelle in 1747, took part in the Revolution, being successively officer of the National Guard, first elected mayor of Arles, deputy in the Legislative, juror of Revolutionary Court in Paris. Under the Directory, he was imprisoned after the failure of the conspiracy of Equals. Out of the prison, he became the editor of the organ of the left opposition and developed the concept of representative democracy. Under the Empire, he retired to a silent dissent, maintaining his jacobin cause as “exceptional invariable” until his death in 1817. Serna place this man, forgotten or ignored until then in revolutionary historiography, alongside with Condorcet, Danton, Robespierre and offers another way of telling Revolution beyond the opposition between ‘marxism’ and ‘revisionism’. Aristocrat, Antonelle suffered from melancholy under the Ancien Regime. He led the autonomous municipal revolution and he was an actively member of the Jacobin but opposed Robespierre. He was different from Babeuf by emphasizing the civil equality of the Constitution of 1793 against the equality of property. Finally, he developed the political system of representative democracy to end the Revolution by building the process of stabilizing it.

The Relationships between Trust, Civic Participation, and Social Value for Sustainable Growth

본 연구에서는 신뢰, 시민참여, 사회적 가치의 관계를 살펴보았다. 우리나라 국민들을 대상으로 한 세계가치설문 조사를 바탕으로 요인분석을 한 결과, 사회적 가치는 사회/환경적, 경제적 관점을 포함하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 신뢰와 시민참여는 사회적 가치와 긍정적인 관계를 유지하였다. 보다 구체적으로, 사회활동집단에 대한 신뢰는 사회/환경적 그리고 경제적 관점의 사회적 가치와 긍정적인 관계가 나타났으며, 시민참여는 사회공헌이라는 사회적 가치와 긍정적 관계가 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 지속 가능한 커뮤니티 구축을 위한 사회적 가치 창출의 필요성과 중요성을 강조하고 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다. Using the survey data collected from the South Korean people on value perception, we examined the relationships between trust, civic participation, and social value. Based on the World Values Survey data, we found that social value contained social/environmental and economic perspectives through a factor analysis. We confirmed the significant and positive association of trust and civic participation with social value. More specifically, trust in socially active group was significantly and positively related to social value associated with social/ environmental and economic perspectives. Additionally, civic participation was significantly and positively associated with society’s contribution (social perspectives). These results emphasize the necessity and importance of supporting social value for sustainable community formation.

흰쥐에 있어서 펙틴이 식이의 상부소화관내 이동 속도에 미치는 영향

식이 중의 펙틴이 식이의 상부소화관내 이동 속도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 흰쥐에게 무섬유식이 또는 10% 펙틴식이를 공급하면서 식이의 이동속도 표시물질인 51-Cr를 투여하였다. 51-Cr 투여후 20분부터 6시간까지 정해진 시간 간격을 두고 동물을 희생시켜, 51-Cr이 소화관에서 이동하는 속도를 측정하였다. 51-Cr를 섭취한 뒤 3시간까지 펙틴은 51-Cr이 위에서 소장으로 이동해 나가는 속도를 유의성 있게 증가시켰다. 51-Cr을 섭취한 후 3시간과 4시간 사이에 펙틴은 51-Cr이 소장을 통과하여 맹장으로 이동해 나가는 속도를 증가시켰다. 따라서 펙틴이 포도당 부하후 또는 식이 섭취후 혈당치와 인슐린치의 급격한 증가를 완화시키는 효과가 펙틴이 상부소화관내 이동속도를 지연시키기 때문이라는 가설은 정확하지 않은 것으로 보인다. The effect of dietary pectin on the upper gastrointestinal transit rate was studied. Rats fed fiber-free diet or 10% pectin diet were offered 51-CrCl₃, a transit marker. The movement of 51-Cr dose through the gastrointestinal tract was measured at intervals from 20 minutes to 6 hours after dosing. Pectin significantly increased gastric emptying rate upto 3 hours after dosing. Pectin also increased small intestinal transit rate from 3 hours to 4 hours after dosing. The results suggest that delayed gastric emptying is not likely the important aspect of the mechanism by which pectin could flatten the post-prandial response of serum glucose and insulin.

This paper describes how to disambiguate the aspectual meaning of Japanese expression ´-te iru´ in Japanese-Korean machine translation. Due to grammatical similarities of both languages, almost all Japanese-Korean MT systems have been developed under the direct MT strategy, in which the lexical disambiguation is essential to high-quality translation. Japanese has a progressive aspectual marker ´-te iru´ which is difficult to translate into Korean equivalents because in Korean there are two different progressive aspectual markers : ´-ko issta´ for ´action progressive´ and ´-e issta´ for ´state progressive´. Moreover, the aspectual system of both languages does not quite coincide with each other, so the Korean progressive aspect could not be determined by Japanese meaning of ´-te iru´ alone. The progressive aspectual meaning may be partially determined by the meaning of predicates and also the semantic meaning of predicates may be partially restricted by adverbials, so all Japanese predicates are classified into five classes : the 1st verb is used only for ´action progressive´, 2nd verb generally for ´action progressive´, but occasionally for ´state progressive´, the 3rd verb only for ´state progressive´, the 4th verb generally for ´state progressive´, but occasionally for ´action progressive´, and the 5th verb for the others. Some heuristic rules are defined for disambiguation of the 2nd and 4th verbs on the basis of abverbs and abverbial phrases. In an experimental evaluation using more than 15,000 sentances from ´Asahi newspapers´, the proposed method improved the translation quality by about 5%, which proves that it is effective in disambiguating ´-te iru´ for Japanese-Korean machine translation.

정보통신기술의 발달로 인터넷을 이용하는 패션/코디 쇼핑몰은 그 시장이 매년 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있다. 패션/코디 쇼핑몰의 개수가 증가함에 따라 소규모 쇼핑몰 운영자들은 자신의 사이트에 방문자를 늘이기 위하여 첫 페이지에 다양한 이벤트나 어울리는 상의-하의로 치장을 하게 된다. 운영자는 매일 혹은 며칠에 한번 씩 첫 페이지의 내용을 수작업으로 바꾸어서 방문자에게 항상 신선한 느낌으로 상품을 소개한다. 온라인 패션 쇼핑몰에서 판매하는 다양한 상품들에 대하여 상의와 하의의 어울리는 정도를 자동으로 계산하여 표기할 수 있다면, 첫 페이지의 장식을 도와줄 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 오프라인에서의 점원에 의한 추천을 대신하여 사용자들의 연계 구매에도 한층 편리할 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 코디 전문가가 상의-하의 의류에 대하여 휴리스틱에 의한 어울림 값을 속성별 매트릭스 형태로 등록하여, 실제 의류들에 대하여 상의-하의 의류를 자동 매칭해주는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. With the advancement of information and communication technology, the market of Internet-based fashion/coordination shopping malls have been considerably increasing year by year. As the number of these Internet shopping malls increases, the operators of the malls tend to decorate the first page of their websites with a variety of events and samples of the best-fit upper-lower clothing pairs. They try to provide visitors of their websites with products that can induce fresh impression by modifying the first page on a daily or a few days basis. If pairs of best-fit upper-lower clothes for various products available in online shopping malls can be calculated and marked, it would help not only to make the first page of the malls more appealing but also to enable users to purchase linked products in a more convenient way, replacing the recommendations usually made by offline clerks. In the paper, we present the results of designing and implementing an upper-lower clothes matching system in which expert coordinators register matching-value of upper and lower clothes in the form of attribute-value matrix.

Streptozotocin 유발 당뇨쥐에 있어서 콩나물 메탄올 추출물의 혈당강하효과

콩나물 메탄올 추출물의 yeast α-glucosidase 저해활성을 in vitro에서 측정한 결과 5 mg/mL 농도에서 24.5%로 나타났다. 콩나물 용매분획 중 ethyl acetate층에서 α-glucosidase 저해활성이 36.3%로 가장 높게 나타났다. STZ로 당뇨를 유발한 흰쥐에 있어서 콩나물 추출물의 탄수화물 소화효소 저해활성을 측정하였다. 공복상태의 동물에게 전분(1 g/kg)과 함께 콩나물 메탄올 추출물 (500 mg/kg)을 경구 투여한 경우, 전분(1 g/kg)만 투여 경우에 비해 투여 후 60, 90, 120, 180분에 혈당 증가가 유의적으로 낮았으며(p<0.05), 식후 혈당 증가곡선의 면적(AUC)도 유의적으로 작게 나타났다(p<0.05). 이상의 결과에서 콩나물 메탄올 추출물은 α-glucosidase 저해 활성에 의해 식후 혈당 조절 효과를 나타내어, 콩나물의 섭취는 당뇨병 치료 및 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것으로 사료된다. To control blood glucose level as close to normal is the major goal of treatment of diabetes mellitus. α-glucosidase is the enzyme to digest dietary carbohydrate and inhibition of α-glucosidase could suppress post- prandial hyperglycemia. The methanol extract of soybean sprout was tested for the inhibitory activities against α-glucosidase in vitro. Soybean sprout extract inhibited yeast α-glucosidase activity by 24.5% at the concentration of 5 mg/mL. The methanol extract of soybean sprout was subsequently subjected to sequential fractionation with hexane, ethyl acetate, butanol and water. Among the fractions tested ethyl acetate-soluble fraction showed relatively strong inhibition against α-glucosidase by 36.3% at the concentration of 5 mg/mL. Acarbose, standard α-glucosidase inhibitor, inhibited α-glucosidase activity by 40.1%. The ability of soybean sprout ex- tract to lower postprandial glucose was studied in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Starch solution (1 g/kg) with and without the methanol extract of soybean sprout (500 mg/kg) was administered to diabetic rats after an overnight-fast by gastric intubation. A single oral dose of soybean sprout extract inhibited the increase in blood glucose levels significantly at 60, 90, 120, 180 min (p<0.05) and decreased incremental response areas under the glycemic response curve significantly (p<0.05). These results suggest that soybean sprout might exert hypoglycemic effect by inhibiting α-glucosidase activity.

The history of East Asia became an issue in the process of scholars` pursuit of historical studies for ‘Citizens,’ as well as ‘historical education for citizens.’ Historical studies continued to evolve ever since, and what is becoming increasingly apparent is that studies of the history of Korea as well as general education of it both trapped in the confines of Nationalism would most likely cause unintended distortion of historical facts and the truth behind them. Only by trying to figure out the history of Korea in the context of East Asian history, and expanding our perspective for us to be able to view the history of Korea as a part of a bigger world, we would be able to pursue and find out what really happened throughout the history of this country. The identity of the people of East Asia today is determined (at least in appearance) by their status as part of individual nationalized countries and not their status as part of the East Asian community. The former is their identity today, and the latter might be the one that should be pursued in the future. In this age of global history, the history of Korea should be examined and studied in the context of the East Asian history as well as the history of the entire world. The Korean historical studies and historical education of it should contribute to the Korean people`s development of an identity of their own as East Asian citizens.
