This article deals with the design and prototyping of Shift-By-Wire system for an automatic transmission equipped vehicle. In order to manipulate the shifting action electronically, Shift-By-Wire system consists of an electronic shift lever, an electric shift actuator and position sensors. The shift lever is designed to transform the driver's shifting command into an electric signal; it includes the position sensor using non-contact type hall sensor and an additional shifting switch acting as Tip-tronic. For the design of an electric shifting actuator, we investigated the stroke angles and shifting efforts of the manual control lever in each shifting section. And the position sensor of the shifting actuator is designed by using a potentiometer with an optical encoder. Finally the prototype of Shift-By-Wire system was built in a conventional 2.4L class SUV vehicle, and we performed road tests in order to verify its performance.
전해질 유동 조건에 따른 아연공기전지 아연극 표면의 Zincate 이온 농도 예측을 위한 수치해석적 연구

수치해석을 이용하여 아연공기전지의 전기화학적 성능을 예측하였다. KOH 수계전해질 내부의 이동현상을 예측하기 위하여 Nernst-Planck식을 사용하였고, 전극 표면의 활성화손실을 모사하기 위해 아연극(음극)에는 Butler-Volmer식을, 공기극(양극)에는 Tafel식을 적용하였다. 정상상태해석을 통하여 아연/공기전지의 I-V곡선을 도출하였으며, 실험결과와의 I-V곡선 비교/분석을 통하여 수치 해석 모델의 타당성을 검증하였다. 전지반응 진행에 따른 전해질 내부의 이온 이동 및 분포 특성을 조사하기 위해 과도상태해석을 수행하였으며, 전극주변에서의 ${Zn(OH)_4}^{-2}$, $OH^-$, $K^+$ 이온들의 농도변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 다양한 전지전압조건 하에서 반응시간에 따라 아연극 표면에서의 ${ZnOH_4}^{2-}$의 농도 변화를 해석한 결과, 반응진행시 아연극 표면에서 ${ZnOH_4}^{2-}$의 농도가 최고성능을 나타내는 운전전압 0.63 V에서 약 1초 만에 포화농도에 도달하였으며, 일반적인 운전조건인 1.04 V에서는 약 13초 만에 포화농도에 접근하는 것으로 나타났다. In this work, the numerical analysis for the zincate behavior at a zinc electrode with an electrolyte flow was carried out for a ZAFC. The Nernst-Planck equation with a boundary condition of Butler-Volmer type was adopted to describe electrochemical effects of mass transfer, migration, kinetics of electrode. The Navier-Stokes equation, coupling to the Nernst-Planck equation, is also applied to describe the internal electrolyte flow fields. The validity of the numerical model is proved through the comparative analysis between numerical and experimental results. The concentration of zincate and the current density were also investigated at a zinc anode according to various electrolyte velocities. We have found the concentration of zincate decreased and the current density increased with an increase in the electrolyte velocity.

A powerful surge of interest has been generated by the revisions made to the National Integrated Curricula and the construction of new textbooks. In interdisciplinary instructions, these interests attempted to interpret integrated curriculum and practice operating in various situational contexts. This study explores the multi-layered perspectives in the situational context of integrated curriculum practices in the 2007 and 2009 national curricula. Qualitative research was the methodology used. Research data were collected from five first-grade elementary school teachers in the form of participatory class observations and in-depth interviews. Data analysis and interpretations show diverse phases of integration in integrated curriculum practices and a multi-layered relationship point of view interconnecting the national curriculum, designated textbooks, and teacher practices. The results reveal a multi-layered relationship, being a matter of perception, “figure” and “ground” in integrated curriculum. The results can be interpreted with the figure as a visible aspect and the ground as an invisible aspect, intertwined in the integrated curriculum practices. This study implies the necessity of distinguishable eyes in the integration of elementary school teachers. Furthermore, these perspectives also illustrate new insights for integrated curriculum practices in teacher education.
분자동역학을 이용한 고체표면과 Atomic Force Microscope(AFM) Tip 사이의 Water Meniscus 형성에 관한 모사

We performed a molecular dynamics simulation of the water meniscus that forms between an atomic force microscope (AFM) Tip and a solid surface. Due to the capillary force between the AFM Tip and substrate, the water meniscus is built up. The water meniscus breaks down the AFM Tip, so it is very important to know the mechanism of generating the water meniscus. We investigated a dynamics of generating the water meniscus using the molecular dynamics. We obtained snap-shots and the structure change of the nano-scale meniscus by a solid surface energy.

This paper describes a passenger car using CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) that has torsional coupling device as solid flywheel with torsional damper, focusing in particular on launching characteristics. To reduce drive-line torsional vibration, some torsional coupling devices were used for the passenger car with CVT having the wet type multi-plate clutch as a starting device. The starting characteristics of the passenger car that are considered here are acceleration performance and creep characteristic. By using the mathematical modeling of this system, the computer simulation program was developed. The program result was verified through the road test of prototype car.

Recently many engineering classes adopt Capstone design contents using Problem- Based Learning(PBL) methodology, which has been used in medical and literature education fields. Catholic University of Daegu also opened the related classes in engineering college since 2011. This article presents case studies of virtual engineering design class using PBL which is opened at the school of mechanical and automotive engineering in Catholic university of Daegu. The case studies include the class activities and design results of students.
