Disc displacement in temporomandibular joint surgery has been troublesome. Problems-migration, foreign body reation, bony erosion, secondary pain & swelling, fragmention etc.-have occured. The autogenous graft, rather than alloplastic materials, may be the material of choice when replacement of the temporomandibular joint disc is indicated. The technique and results of replacement of the articular disc by autogenous ear cartilage are presented. In the three patients-five joint-operated with a follow up from eleven to twelve months, all patient were improved in postoerative symptoms, mouth opening ranges and jaw functions. The autogenous ear cartilage appeared to be a suitable autogenous tissue graft, maintaining its viability and functioning as an interpositioning material between the condyle and fossa.

본 논문은 과학 기술 문헌을 대상으로 한 영한 기계번역 시스템 MATES-EK(MAchine Translation Environment System English-Korean)에서의 영어 구문 해석 시스템 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문의 영어 구문 해석 시스템은 형태소 해석의 출력인 선형 목구조를 입력으로 받아 구구조를 출려하는 PASS1 부분과, 이 구구조를 영한 변환의 입력인 의존구조로 만드는 PASS2 부분으로 구성된다. 본 시스템은 문법 개발 지원 환경하에서 개발되었고, 구문 해석 문법은 문법 기술 언어 GWL Ⅱ로 기술되었다.

Roll bonding between STS and Mg alloy by inserting aluminum alloy is one of the best ways to produce lightweight 3-ply laminated composite to circumvent the difficulty of direct bonding between STS and Mg alloys. However, Mg/Al interface has a drawback such as poor bonding strength, which has to be overcome to widen the application field of this material as a structural component. In order to enhance the bonding strength of Mg/Al interface, a great number of post roll-bonding treatments have been tried such as annealing or rolling processes. In this study, a series of secondary rolling process has been performed under various process conditions to evaluate the influence of thermo-mechanical treatment on interface microstructure and mechanical properties of STS-AI-Mg clad sheets.

State-of-charge (SOC) estimation becomes an increasingly important issue in all the applications that include a battery. Former operation strategies made use of voltage limits only to protect the battery against deep discharge and overcharge. Currently, battery operation is changing to what could rather be called battery management than simply protection. For this improved battery control, the SOC of Battery is a key factor. Many research works has been done in recent years to improve SOC estimation. Operational conditions differ for batteries in, for example, photovoltaic applications, (hybrid)-electric vehicles or telecommunications. Hence, a given method for SOC calculation will be more suitable for a certain application than for another. The authors introduce simple hybrid methods for SOC estimation. It is more suitable for HEV application.

DSC 및 컴파운드 온도 측정을 통해 원적외선에 의한 EPDM의 가교 반응을 연구하였으며, 특히 동일 조건에서의 열풍에 의한 가교 시험을 통해 원적외선 가교시의 효율성을 평가하였다. 원적외선 및 열풍에 의한 EPDM 컴파운드의 가교도를 분석한 결과, 동일 조건에서 원적외선가교 시료의 가교도가 열풍가교에 비해 높게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 3 mm 두께 시편의 경우 약 2배가량 높은 가교도를 나타내었다. EPDM 컴파운드의 열전도도의 증가는 원적외선에 의한 가교도를 크게 증가시켰으나, 열풍에 의한 가교도의 변화에는 거의 영향을 주지 못하였다. Far-infrared vulcanization of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer(EPDM) compounds has been studied in comparison with hot air vulcanization. Vulcanization characteristics of EPDM compounds were measured by degree of curing and temperature of specimens in vulcanization process. As a result, degree of curing by far-infrared of EPDM compounds was shown to be higher value than that by hot air at the same vulcanization temperature. Especially, degree of curing by far-infrared on 3 mm thickness of EPDM compounds was increased by two times compared to that by hot air. While the increase of thermal conductivity of EPDM compounds highly improved degree of curing by far-infrared, that hardly improved degree of curing by hot air.
