        복합운동 수행이 비만청소년의 혈중 C-reactive protein, Interleukin-6, 혈중 지질 및 인슐린 저항성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 비만청소년을 대상으로 저항성운동과 유산소운동을 병행한 복합운동을 수행하는 것이 혈중 C-reactive protein(CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), 혈중 지질 및 인슐린 저항성(HOMA-IR)에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 체지방률 30% 이상의 비만청소년(n=10)이었고 저항성운동(60% 1RM)과 유산소운동(60% HRR)으로 구성된 복합운동을 주 4회 8주 동안 수행하도록 하였다. 비만청소년의 혈중 CRP와 IL-6 및 인슐린 저항성 지표를 성별과 연령이 일치하는 정상청소년(n=10)의 변인들과 비교하였고, 복합운동 수행이 이들 변인에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 운동 전후의 수치들을 비교하였다. 연구 결과, ① 복합운동 수행은 비만에서 증가되었던 체중, BMI, 체지방률 및 체중에 대한 제지방량의 비율을 유의하게 감소시켰다. ② 혈중 지질 성분인 TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C 수치는 복합운동 수행 후 유의하게 변화되지 않았으나 대조군에 비해 유의하게 높았던 인슐린 농도와 HOMA-IR 지표는 8주 동안의 복합운동 수행 후 유의하게 감소하였다. ③ 혈중 CRP와 IL-6가 대조군에 비해 비만청소년에서 유의하게 증가되어 있었으나 복합운동 수행 후 유의하게 감소된 것을 확인하였다. 결론적으로, 비만청소년을 대상으로 저항성운동과 유산소운동을 병행한 복합운동을 수행하는 것은 비만으로 인한 전신적 염증반응을 유의하게 억제함을 혈중 CRP와 IL-6가 감소된 것으로 알 수 있었고, 이들과 밀접한 상관성이 있는 인슐린 저항성 또한 감소시킨다는 것을 확인하였다. The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of combined aerobic and resistance exercise (aerobic exercise at 60% HRR, resistance exercise at 60% 1RM) on plasma C reactive-protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), lipids, and insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) in obese adolescent. Exercise program was performed for 8 weeks. Body composition and blood biochemical variables were analyzed before and after exercise training. In the results, there were significant differences between obese adolescent group and age-matched control group. Body weight, %fat, BMI, plasma insulin, HOMA-IR, CRP, and IL-6 in obese adolescent were increased significantly than in control group. However, these variables including plasma CRP, IL-6, and HOMA-IR in obese adolescent were decreased significantly after exercise. In conclusion, combined aerobic and resistance exercise program in obese adolescent appears to be helpful for improving the obesity and lowering obese-induced systemic inflammation.

        최대운동수행으로 유도된 근통증이 점프 착지 동작에서의 하지 근육 활성도와 무릎 및 발목 각도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of maximal muscle contraction exercise induced muscle soreness on lower extremities muscle activities, angles of knee and ankle in drop landing. Six healthy recreational volleyball player participated in the study. Three trials of Intermittent maximal muscle contraction exercise was performed on a bicycle ergometer for 30 sec. The rest interval between maximal contraction exercise was 3 min. EMG signals of lower extremities were recorded during drop landing before and after maximal muscle contraction exercise and we also collected the data of angles of knee and ankle in drop landing. Statistical analysis of the findings of this study showed that maximal muscle contraction exercise induced muscle soreness caused significant increase in the muscle EMG of the lower extremities muscle when performing the drop landing. Also muscle soreness played roll in increasing the angle of knee and ankle in drop landing. In conclusion, this study showed that maximal exercise induced muscle soreness increased the lower extremity muscle recruitment and angles of knee and ankle in dominant leg to keep the body stabilizing and position. Muscle soreness may increase the risk for musculoskeletal injury during rapid perturbations (as occurs in most sport activities) and therefore, exercise programs for patients and athletes should be carefully monitored for signs of muscle soreness after exercise and training to avoid deficits that might compromise dynamic joint stability.

        In “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” Eliot has defined his position by describing the world from which he is isolated and alienated. In this poetry, Prufrock attempts to convey his feelings but he partially loses his grasp on those feelings, for they are inexpressible. These feelings, so intense and indefinable, lead to the overwhelming question which is equally difficult to express. Prufrock’s inner self is hidden from the others by his own fears and social conventions, because timidity conquers the suppressed self. This awful separation cannot be one from the first to the last. Deleuze suggests that his work grounds a new conception of the Other-the Other as expression of a possible world, as a structure that precedes any subsequent dialectical mediation, including the master-slave dialectic of social relations. I have found, therefore, this poetry holds the key to a new understanding of the Other. (Chung-Ang University)

        This study was designed to synthesize quantitatively the master`s theses and doctoral dissertations focusing on the effects of academic achievements in intellectual function variable group. This task was accomplished by utilizing the meta-analysis technique of research integration as defined by Glass(1982). Basically, meta-analysis is a statistical analysis of summary findings of many empirical studies. Its purpose is to draw reliable and general conclusions from a large and complex body of literature on a common topic. Thus, the primary purpose of this study was to conduct a quantitative synthesis of 42 master`s theses and doctoral dissertations focusing on the effects of academic achievements in intellectural function variable group. The intellectual function variable group categorized three independent variables in this study. These three independent variables are intelligence, creativity, and cogntive style. This study also assessed the relation between moderator variables and effect size. The morderator variables investigated included grade, curriculum area, experimental period, number of subject, source of studies, sex, geographic area, and school type. This study set the following questions to be answered. Problem 1 : How large are the effect sizes of the three independent variables selected in this study? Problem 2 : How large are the effect sizes of the interaction effect between three independent variables and eight moderator variables? The standard procedures analogous to those performed during primary research was used in this meta-analysis: locating studies (data collection), coding the characteristics and outcomes of the studies(evaluation of data points) and using statistical procedures of meta-analysis in order to describe the overall and subsample effects(date analysis and interpretation) . The result of this study may be summarized as follows : 1. The grand average degree of effects of the academic achievement variables proposed in this study turned out to be. 939. This mean that is the average effect size of the academic achievement variables of the controlled group is 50 percentile in the normal distribution, that of the experimental group becomes 82.64 percentile. As it were, the latter surpasses the former by 32.64 percentile. 2. Among the three independent variables of academic achievement proposed in this study, intelligence variables showed the highest effect size, its effect size being 1.223. The second highest one is creativity variable whose effect size is .890. On the other hand, cognitive style variable was proved to have the lowest effect size in this study. 3. The intelligence variable had the most effect on the academic achievements regardless of male or female, grades(ages), and subjects.

        내재적 동기와 성차가 비디오 게임 장르 이용에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 내재적 동기 이론과 플로우 이론의 통합을 통해 비디오 게임 이용자들이 가진 동기와 행위 간의 관계를 설명하는 이론적 모델을 제시함에 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 기술과 도전의 최적균형, 플로우를 통한 즐거움, 내재적 동기, 그리고 비디오 게임 장르 이용행위라는 변수들을 제시하고 이들 간의 인과적 관계성들을 조사하였다. 경로분석을 통해 변수들 간의 관계성을 검증한 결과, 내재적 동기는 최적균형과 즐거움의 경험에 의해 직접적, 간접적 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 이 내재적 동기는 신체게임과 공상게임 장르의 이용행위를 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 전통게임 장르의 경우 내재적 동기와 유의미한 관계성을 나타내지 못했다. 또한 본 연구는 남성과 여성 비디오 게임 이용자들 간에 내재적 동기의 강도는 다르나, 내재적 동기가 게임 장르 이용행위를 유도하는 근본적인 관계들은 남녀 간에 상이하지 않음을 발견하였다. By integrating of intrinsic motivation theory and flow theory, this study sought to investigate the causal linkage among optimal balance of video game player’s perceived skill and challenge, flow experience, intrinsic motivation and video game genre usage. A path analysis showed that the different types of video game usage were directly influenced by players’ intrinsic motivations, which were also reinforced by players’ flow experiences of enjoyment. However, the path model with a multiple group approach provided no strong evidence for gender differences in the relationships between the variables of interest.

        Nitrate 구강 투여가 안정시 대사량과 운동 후 초과산소섭취량에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of oral nitrate supplementation on resting metabolic rate (RMR) and excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). METHODS: Ten university male subjects participated in this study. Resting metabolic RMR and submaximal exercise test (70 %V·O2max) on a cycle ergometer were performed for 30 minutes before and after oral nitrate supplementation. Also, EPOC was measured following submaximal exercise test (70 %V·O2max) before and after oral nitrate supplementation. RESULTS: There was a little decreased in oxygen consumption during submaximal exercise after oral nitrate supplementation, but there was no significant different between before and after experimental conditions. Interestingly, RMR became lower after oral nitrate supplementation compared with before nitrate supplementation. On the other hand EPOC was found to be higher following the submaximal exercise after oral nitrate supplementation, but there was no significant difference. CONCLUSIONS: This study found that oral nitrate supplementation decreased RMR By better understanding metabolic and energy expenditure effects of oral nitrate supplementation, various interventions, such as, exercise intensity, mode, diet, should be considered.
