In addition to identifying genetic differences between target populations, it is also important to determine the impact of genetic differences with regard to the respective target populations. In recent years, there has been an increasing number of cases where this approach is needed, and thus various statistical methods must be considered. In this study, genetic data from populations of Southeast and Southwest Asia were collected, and several statistical approaches were evaluated on the Y-chromosome short tandem repeat data. In order to develop a more accurate and practical classification model, we applied gradient boosting and ensemble techniques. To infer between the Southeast and Southwest Asian populations, the overall performance of the classification models was better than that of the decision trees and regression models used in the past. In conclusion, this study suggests that additional statistical approaches, such as data mining techniques, could provide more useful interpretations for forensic analyses. These trials are expected to be the basis for further studies extending from target regions to the entire continent of Asia as well as the use of additional genes such as mitochondrial genes.
A Comparative Analysis of Suicide Rate Trends between Korea and Other OECD Countries

This study investigates the factors affecting suicide in the member of countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and examines the factors contributing to the difference in suicide rate trends between Korea and other OECD countries. The decision tree and linear regression analyses were applied for empirical research. There are two major findings from this study. First, the factors affecting suicide were variables related to life expectancy, health resources, birth and divorce, social welfare spending, demographic factors, and weekly hours worked. Second, there are five key factors influencing the difference in suicide rate trends between Korea and other OECD countries: psychiatric care beds, crude divorce rate, social expenditure for family, weekly hours worked for men (20-29 hours), and mobile subscribers.

The purpose of this study is to understand the usage behavior and satisfaction of the central park and symbolic central park (stage 1) in Sejong, a women-friendly city from the perspective of the guidelines for public facilities in the second stage of central park and urban planning. As a research method, the usage behavior and satisfaction level of the central park were identified and derived through a survey to determine whether the usage behavior was suitable for the current guidelines for women-friendly urban public facilities. As Sejong Special Self-Governing City, designated as a women-friendly city through the results, it is a central park with many family visits with young children, so it is believed that all urban residents can use the park through the creation and development of facilities from a women-friendly city perspective. The results of the study are as follows. First, most of the users used rest, recreation, and central green areas, and showed high satisfaction with the gardens, squares, and ecological forests that used them, creating an appropriate future for Sejong Special Self-Governing City. Second, while the overall satisfaction is very high at more than 90%, most of the program usage problems are found to be problematic. Currently, the central park’s usage time is more than 1 to 2 hours, and various program activities are needed. Third, overall, the frequency of use is the highest once or twice a month, and most of them are used on weekends, and most of them enjoy rest and recreation for the purpose of using Sejong Central Park, and most of them visit by families with young children. Fourth, the urban infrastructure type items in the Women-Friendly City Public Facilities Guidelines showed relatively low satisfaction. Among them, the ‘care and consideration facilities’ item had a high level of necessity and demand, and showed the lowest level of satisfaction, so improvement is needed considering its symbolism and role as a central park.
Study of Moving Distance of Ricocheted Debris for Various Medium with Air Drag Force Coefficient

When a building explodes, debris generated bounces after hitting the ground with high energy. It is called the ricochet phenomenon. Ricochet phenomena increase the risk of damage by increasing the moving distance of the debris. The ricochet of debris is impacted by the type of medium. In this paper, the behavior and travel distance of debris after ricocheting are studied according to the type of medium. For various initial conditions, the ricochet of the debris was studied through FEM, and the resulting values were fitted to the 3D curved surface, to predict the speed and angle after the ricochet. The trajectory of the sphere was calculated with the flight formula, considering drag force by using the MATLAB. The ricochet of debris is impacted by the contact area with the medium. As the contact area increases, the reflection angle increases due to the increase of the repulsive force. As the size of the debris increases, the contact area increases and the energy loss increases, but it moves further because of the increase of the weight and kinetic energy. The type of media around the building can be used as an appropriate means of controlling the travel distance of the debris.
재구성 정합 회로를 이용한 평판형 이중 모드 안테나 설계

본 논문에서는 RF 스위치 역할을 하는 핀-다이오드를 이용하여 정합 회로의 형상을 변경하는 새로운 형태의 재구성 안테나를 제안하였다. 개발된 안테나는 HSDPA 대역(2.1~2.2 ㎓), WiBro?WiFi 대역(2.3~2.5 ㎓)에서 Mode 1과 Mode 2의 두 가지 모드로 동작할 수 있도록 하였으며, polyarcylate 기판의 양면을 이용하여 제작 및 측정을 하였다. 측정 결과, Mode 1과 Mode 2의 동작 주파수에서 547 ㎒(S11<?3 ㏈, 2.035~2.582 ㎓), 600 ㎒(S11<?3 ㏈, 2.2~2.8 ㎓)의 대역폭을 보였으며, 각각 ?4.4 ㏈i, ?4.5 ㏈i의 x-y 평면 평균 수직 복사 성능을 보였다. In this paper, we propose a novel reconfigurable antenna that can change the electrical shape of the matching network using RF switches of PIN diodes. The designed antenna operates at two different modes that are Mode 1 (HSDPA band, 2.1~2.2 ㎓) and Mode 2(WiBro?WiFi band, 2.3~2.5 ㎓). The antenna is built on both sides of a polyarcylate substrate. The measured reflection coefficient shows a matching bandwidth of 547 ㎒(S11<?3 ㏈, 2.035~2.582 ㎓) for Mode 1 and 600 ㎒(S11<?3 ㏈, 2.2~2.8 ㎓) for Mode 2, and it shows average vertical gains of ?4.4 ㏈i and ?4.5 ㏈i in x-y plane, respectively.
