김기덕 영화에 나타나는 무속적 상징에 관한 연구

본 연구는 김기덕의 영화를 무속적 세계관의 관점에서 새롭게 조망해 보기 위한 논문이다. 연구를 통해 영화 매체가 지닌 원초적인 특성으로서, 그리고 김기덕 영화가 지니고 있는 내적 전형성 및 근원적 속성으로서의 제의성(祭儀性)을 드러내고자 했다. 분석을 위해서 연구자는 김기덕 영화 14편 전체를 분석 대상으로 선정하고, 무속적 상징 구조 분석틀을 이용하여 분석을 진행했다. 구체적으로 김기덕 영화에 등장하고 있는 인물들의 무속적 성격, 무속적 행위, 세계관의 특징, 관객과의 무속적 관계 등을 분석해 보았다. 분석 결과, 김기덕은 영화를 통해 지속적인 굿판을 벌여왔으며, 영화가 지니고 있는 환상성, 제의성 등의 원초적 속성을 직접적으로 재현하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 지극히 한국적인 문화의 원형적 상징들을 영화의 곳곳에서 발견할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 남성과 여성의 화합이라는 김기덕 영화의 핵심적 서사는 고난ㆍ희생ㆍ죽음 등과 같은 무속적 제의 과정을 통해서 달성되고 있는 것으로 해석할 수 있었다. This Studies interpret Kim Ki-duk's film in terms of shamanistic world views. In this studies, the ritual properties of Kim Ki-duk's film were trying to reveal. To do this, Kim Ki-duk's entire 14 works were analysed. Specifically, shamanistic characters, their actions, themes, ways of storytelling, mis-en-scenes, and visual settings were focused on. The results show, fantastic and ritual properties were represented directly and the very archetypes of Korean cultural shamanistic symbols were embedded in his films. Shamanistic symbols and narratives in Kim Ki-duk's films were related to the main themes of harmony between suppressing men and suffered women. This symbols and narratives could be interpreted through the sacrifices of characters, exorcistic behaviors, expressions of death etc. In the long run, as visionary or anti-realistic author, Kim Ki-duk has been performing shamanistic ceremonies(in Korean “Gut”) with his whole works. With these findings, processes from preparations to completions of Gut-Pan (Shamanistic ceremony) in Kim Ki-Duk's works were tried to reconstruct.

게임엔진에는 일반적으로 렌더링엔진(Rendering Engine), 애니메이션엔진(Animation Engine), 물리엔진(Physics Engine), 인공지능엔진(Artificial Intelligence Engine), 네트워크엔진(Network Engine), 3D 사운드엔진(Sound Engine)이 있다. 본 논문에서는 렌더링엔진, 애니메이션엔진, 사운드 엔진을 구현하였으며, 실내지형출력에서 쓰이는 BSP(Binary Space Partitioning)트리의 응용 및 개선방향을 제시한다.

차별과 역차별의 변주곡: 이명박 정부 출범 이후 영호남 신문에 나타난 지역주의 보도 행태에 관한 탐색적 연구

이 논문에서는 2008년 이명박 정권 출범 이후를 분석 기간으로 한정하여, 이 시기의 지역 언론 보도 분석을 통해 차별과 역차별의 담론들이 새롭게 구성되고 있음을 살펴보고 있다. 2008년 이후, 지역 언론의 보도에는 영남에 대비한 호남의 소외 및 영남의 역차별 등과 같은 차별과 역차별의 담론들이 상대적으로 많이 등장하고 있다. 하지만, 이와 같은 신문 보도의 담론 구성 방식은 중앙과 지역의 불균등한 지위에 따른 지역의 소외를 진지하게 다루는 것이 아니라, 지속적으로 다른 지역과의 대비를 통한 소외나 차별을 다룸으로써, 중앙과 지방과의 격차라는 구조적 문제를 지속적으로 덮어왔다고 말할 수 있다. 지역 문제의 핵심은 지방과 지방 사이가 아니라 수도권과 지방 사이의 문제이다. 2010년 세종시 논란의 와중에 지역 언론에 새롭게 등장한 담론은 바로 이와 같은 중요한 인식의 전환이었다. 지역 언론이 지역 언론의 존재 조건상의 핵심적인 가치인 지역주의를 완전히 폐기할 수는 없지만, 그 가치의 방향성을 변화시킬 수는 있다. 즉, 그것은 타 지역과의 비교나 소외된 자들 간의 경쟁을 가시화하는 방식의 담론 구성이 아니라, 중앙의 권력에 대비해 지역이 받아야만 할 당연한 것들을 당당하게 요구하는 방식의 담론 구성이어야 한다. 더 이상 편중, 홀대, 푸대접과 관련된 냉소적 반발보다는 지역을 위한 예산 확충을 요구하고, 수도권 중심의 정책을 치밀하게 비판하는 쟁점들을 다루어야 할 것이다. 더 이상 지역 언론을 통해 중앙 인사 구성에서의 지역 출신 인사의 여부가 얼마나 되는지를 논의하기보다는 지방 자치 정부와 중앙 정부와의 네트워크가 얼마나 효과적으로 작동하고 있는지를 살펴야 한다는 것이 이 논문의 주장이다. This paper analyzed the discourses of discrimination & reverse discrimination in local newspaper journalism in South Korea, 2008 after the Lee Myung-bak regime launched. Since 2008, local newspapers have reported the alienation of Ho-nam region and the reverse discrimination of Young-nam region. However, the approaches dealing with local issues were not the serious ways of revealing the relationship between central and local inequality, but the cynical ways of comparison with other regions or instigating competition among alienated regions. These reporting patterns cannot solve the structural problems derived from the gap between central and local hierarchic position, rather lead to hide those inequal structures itself. The point of problems in local issues is located in not between Ho-nam and Young-nam inequality, but between central and local inequality. Researcher found that local newspaper can transit their recognition about regionalism in the middle of debating about Se-jong city(administrative capital) amendment in 2010.

지상파 방송 프로그램 제작 스태프 고용 구조의 변화에 관한 연구: 인력 이동 및 비정규직 비율 변동을 중심으로

이 논문은 우리나라의 방송 환경 변화 과정에서 프로그램 제작에 실질적으로 참여하는 스태프 고용 구조의 변화를 살펴보고 있다. 연구자들은 특히 의무외주제작 정책의 도입 이후에 지상파 방송사와 외주제작사 간의 인력 이동과 제작 영역에서의 비정규직 비율 변동을 살펴보면서, 방송 제작 인력의 위계적 구조를 드러내 보고자 했다. 연구 결과 첫째, 지상파 방송사 종사자인 정규직은 일정한 수를 유지하는 반면, 외주제작사의 수가 증가하고 외주 인력들이 용역이나 바우처 계약의 형태로 방송사 내부로 이동하면서 제작 영역 내의 비정규직 증가가 일어나고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 2000년 초중반 대규모 드라마 외주제작사의 성장 과정에서 지상파 방송 제작 인력의 외주 제작사로의 이동은 주로 스타 PD의 스카우트 방식으로 이루어졌으나, 2000년대 후반에 들어 고용의 안정성을 더욱 선호하는 지상파 방송사 스태프들의 외주제작사로의 이동은 거의 일어나지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 다만 외주 제작사에서 지상파로의 이동은 발견되고 있었는데, 이러한 인력의 이동은 지상파 정규직 고용의 형태가 아니라, 파견, 용역, 계약, 바우처 등과 같은 비정규직 고용이었다. 말하자면, 외주 제작 영역에서 경력을 쌓은 인력을 지상파 방송사에서 활용은 하되, 공채로 채용한 정규직 인력과는 다른 방식으로 고용이 이루어졌다는 것이다. 이와 같은 고용 방식의 차별화는 결국 지상파 방송 조직 내에 비정규직 스태프의 증가와 정규 및 비정규직 제작 스태프 구성 비율의 변화로 이어졌다. 셋째, 프로그램 장르 및 제작 방식에 따라 제작 스태프 고용 구조의 변화가 발견 되었다. 대부분 자체 제작 프로그램이 외주 제작 프로그램보다 정규직 인력의 참여 정도가 더 높게 나타났다. 장르에 따라 가장 높은 비율의 정규직 인력이 투입되는 프로그램은 시사 교양 프로그램이었으며, 드라마는 정규직 인력의 참여가 가장 낮게 나타나고 있었다. 이는 자체 제작 드라마의 경우에도 마찬가지였다. 반면에 시사교양 프로그램은 외주 제작의 경우라도 정규직 인력의 참여가 상대적으로 많았다. 분석 대상 프로그램들이 주로 2000년 이후의 프로그램들이라 연도에 따른 스태프 구성의 변화는 크게 발견되지 않았다. In this paper, substantial changes in the employment structure of TV production staffs have been examined. Researchers focused on the transfer of staffs between Independent productions and major broadcasters to reveal the hierarchical structure of TV production staffs, especially after the introduction of outsourcing policy in the domain of TV production. We made conclusions based on previously reported references, statistical data, in-depth interviews with producers in the major broadcasters and the independent productions, and the ending credit analysis about programs in different genres from various broadcasting companies to investigate the program for making changes in staff. Our findings are as follows: Firstly, full-time laborers in the major broadcasters were maintaining, while the numbers of temporary laborers were gradually increasing. It was because of the manpower transfer from independent productions to the broadcasting companies as a form of service. Second, It was common in the early 2000s that so-called star producers are head-hunted from large-scale terrestrial broadcasters to independent productions. But in the late 2000s, because of the strong preference for stability in the employment, this type of transfer almost did not happen. However, the reverse transfer of staffs was easily found. Unfortunately, this type of transfer were not full-time but temporary employment such as in forms of dispatch, service, subcontract, vouchers, etc. Third, the constitution of the staffs differs from one genre to the other. For example, staffs in current affairs and refinement programs are mostly full-time laborer, but staffs in drama programs are mostly dispatched from independent production. As a consequence, the terrestrial broadcasters increasingly depend on the manpower of the independent productions. However, the imbalance of power were still maintained.

진화론의 관점에서 본 미디어 변이에 관한 연구

이 연구에서는 미디어 기술의 변이 원리를 보다 잘 설명할 수 있는 이론적 탐색을 시도하고 있다. 연구자는 미디어 기술의 혼성성(hybridity)으로 개념화 시킬 수 있는 오늘날 전자 미디어의 가장 뚜렷한 변화를 진화론적 관점에서 재검토해 보고자 했다. 연구자는 매클루언(Marshall Mcluhan) 이론의 많은 부분이 진화론의 최근 연구 성과들과 밀접하게 연관되어 있다고 판단했다. 이에 따라, 인간의 확장인 미디어, 메시지로서의 미디어, 대상과 배경(figure & ground) 및 테트라드(tetrad) 등과 같은 매클루언의 핵심적인 개념들을 리처드 도킨스(Richard Dawkins)의 밈(meme)이론, 린 마굴리스(Lynn Margulis)의 세포내 공생 진화론(endosymbiosis theory) 등과 같은 생물진화론의 논의들을 활용하여 재구성해 보았다. 이 논문에서는 매클루언 논의를 생물 진화론과의 연계성 안에서 파악함으로써, 미디어 변이 과정에 발견되는 생물 변이와의 유사성을 분석하고, 서로 다른 미디어 기술의 상호적 영향력 및 포섭 과정, 새로운 미디어에 의한 기존 미디어의 변화 및 연속적인 미디어의 분화, 미디어 기술이 수용자의 정신과 몸에 미치는 충격 및 효과 등을 포괄하는 미디어 진화의 근본 원리를 이론적으로 정리해 보고자 했다. This study attempted to connect various theoretical fields that explain the morphoses of the current electronic media technologies and environmental changes driven from these morphoses. One of the most important part of this study is to find the theoretical relationship between Marshall Mcluhan’s theory and biological evolutionary theory. this study want to theoretically make up the technological evolutionism with the several concepts in Mcluhan’s media ecology and biological evolutionary theory. The evolutionary process of the media is not the linear progress, but the hierarchic process with lots of branches. Basslla(1988) claimed that technologies came from a variety of existing technologies, and technological mutation and survival depend on the environmental selection pressure. In this study, the concepts of the “figure and ground” in Mcluhan’s theory are compared with the concept of the “genotype and phenotype” in biological evolution theory. And Endosymbiotic evolution in eukaryotic cells are compared with the symbiosis of media technologies. And Mcluhan’s “Tetrad” is discussed to understand the process of mediamorphosis. In conclusion, The evolution of media technology is achieved through two main processes. The first, audiences are captured by various media technologies in symbiotic evolutionary steps. the second, variations or mutations of these symbiotic memeplex inherit to next generation. In the course of the symbiotic evolution and genetic variation, the most important thing is that the adaptation and natural selection determines the survival and duplication of these symbiotic memeplex.
