지리교육은 지난 한 세기 동안 한국 사회의 근대 국민 교육에 지대한 기여를 하였으나 최근 위기에 직면해 있다. 본고에서는 당면한 지리교육의 위기에 대처하기 위하여 정보 양식이라는 측면에서 사회 변화의 교육적 함의를 고찰하였다. 최근 논의되는 지식의 성격 변화에 부응하여 청소년 문화를 배려한 정서 중심의 지리교육이라는 방향을 제시하였다. 그러나 현실적으로는 국민정서의 측면을 무시할 수 없기 때문에 국토학, 주택정의론, 지역학 등의 과목 주제를 중심으로 내용을 구성하면서 정체성 형성에 기여하기 위한 교육적 차원을 강화하는 방향을 제안하였다. The geography education in korea has contributed to citizenship education since the late 19th century. But today geography has seen crisis in the school curriculum. In order to overcome this crisis we investigate educational implication of social change. Based on M. Poster’s theory of mode of information, we examine changing nature of knowledge and its implication on school. These aspects reflect teenager culture and emotional aspect of geography education. However we needs support from the national ethos. We suggest a few directions of geography education, contribution of cultural landscape to korean identity, housing and land justice, future cities, geopolitics and culture area.
태국칡(Pueraria mirifica)으로부터 norsesquiterpene의 분리 및 동정

The roots of Pueraria mirifica were extracted with 70% aqueous ethyl alcohol and partitioned into ethyl acetate (EtOAc), n-butyl alcohol (BuOH), and H2O fractions, successively. From the EtOAc fraction, four norsesquiterpenes were isolated through the repeated silica gel, octadecyl silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatographies. On the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic data including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry, and infrared spectroscopy, the chemical structures were identified as megastigm-5-en-3,9-diol (1), linarionoside B (2), 3,5,6,9-tetrahydroxymegastigm-7-ene (3) and 3,4,9-trihydroxymegastigma-5,7-diene (4). Especially, the configuration of the anomer hydroxyl group was determined as a from the coupling constants of the anomer proton (J =8.0 Hz) in the 1H-NMR spectrum. These compounds were isolated for the first time from the roots of P. mirifica in this study.

근대 지리학 방법론 논쟁에서 가장 주요한 쟁점은 지역 지리학의 학문적 성격에 대한 논란이었다. 그러나 대부분의 논의는 지역 연구의 절차를 제시하기보다는 지역 지리학을 형이상학적으로 정당화하는 데 머물렀다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 견해를 비판적으로 검토하기 위하여 지역 지리학 방법론에 내재하는 전제들 가운데에서도 부분과 전체의 관계에 대한 존재론적 가정을 가장 중요한 준거로서 설정하였다. 대부분의 논의는 유기체론에 근거하여 지역을 복합적 존재로서 인식하고, 생명체와의 비유를 통해 지역의 속성을 파악해야 한다고 주장하였다. 그러나, 단위 지역이라는 전제의 한계와 더불어 단순히 요소들을 열거하는 데에 머물렀으며, 지역의 복합성을 포착하지 못하였다. 이러한 한계는 생활양식이라는 전제 위에서 출발한 데에서 오는 당연한 귀결이었다. Main debates in the modern geographical thoughts had been developed around the regional geography. Because regional geography had been regarded as a raison d`etre of geography, it remains solid status in geography curriculum. But unscientific nature of regional geography was the main problem of modern geography. modern geography has developed the logical legitimation of regional geography, instead of research procedures. We examine the logic of modern geographical thoughts from 3 worldview. Here we represented the part - the whole relationship as the primary category, and classify these into three type according to the implicit proposition about the relationship. One is the organic view, which assume that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, this view was the primary proposition held by the modern geographers. This view regarded the region as organic complex, and presume the unit region which is irreducible to the elements. The other is mechanic view, which presuppose that the whole is the sum of the parts. This view comprehend region by means of spatial order, in order to simplify the complex reality. Then we compare real condition with assumption. These two view held static assumption. Now, the third view regarded the part- the whole relationship as being dynamic. Most geographers held the organic view, although someone suggest the idea of harmony, the others suggests the idea of complex. But these view presumes the pre-industrial society in which the genre de vie was main principle of social order. Therefore It could not comprehend the regional concept in the context of the urbanization and industrialization.
협동학습을 활용한 고등학교 지리 수업의 개선 방안 연구

The purpose of this research is to fulfill learners` various learning needs and to find the ways to improve the effect of teaching-learning in geography through lessons planning to apply to contemporary educational situations. The main results of this research are as follows. 1) This research showes that the natural scientific principle learning is not effective in the cooperative learning of geography class. 2) In the group that the difference of students` level is various, STAD model could be more useful than Jigsaw I model. 3) STAD model is useful as the standard of classes and could confirm the necessity of getting a concept about terms used in classes. 4) Problem-solving ability and reciprocal cooperation were built and the communication skills was also improved while students went through and solved the individual and group tasks. 5) The cooperative learning of heterogeneous groups had little effect in high and low ability groups. The high ability groups think that they learn little from the low ability groups in the group discussion learning. The low ability groups have a difficulty in learning contents of discussion activities. As a result, this research argues that the cooperative learning in geography class with another effective class styles can improve class and raise its quality. In addition, this study suggests that by investigating a topic, problem and concept closely, the opportunities to broaden the experiences are needed to be offered. And in the heterogeneous group, the model must be developed to perform proficiency level class at the same time.(Kyungpook National Univ./Hyoryung High School)

In Deleuze's discourse on learning, the concept of place is created between elements entangled in assemblage and has an affective nature that varies. Based on such place learning, geography education can be converted from acquiring knowledge to generating thought. If place learning can be viewed as the process of creating concepts, the perspective on children is also changed. In the light of Deleuze's discourse on body, all bodies are accidentally entangled and mutated, so the modern subject is dismantled and the subject is converted to mutating and creating, that is, becoming. Children can be seen as becoming-child subjects who meet places with various emotions in different assemblage. In this perspective child are not passive beings trapped in the striation of knowledge, but have the ability to sense places in various assemblage, change and mutate such assemblage.
