      • 생쥐뇌 세포질 분획의 Acid 및 Alkaline Phosphatase의 특성 비교 연구

        Acid and alkaline phosphatases from mouse brain cytosol fraction were separated and partially purified with 91 and 15 folds, respectively, by DEAE-cellulose column chromatography and Sephadex G-150 gel chromatography. Acid phosphatase (ACPase, EC 3.1.3.2) showed substrate specificity only to p-nitrophenylphosphate among the several substrates tried, such as, adenosine-3'-monophosphate (3'-AMP), adenosine-5'-monophosphate (5'-AMP), adenosine-5'-triphosphate (5'-ATP), glucose-6-phosphate (G-6-P), inositol-1'-monophosphate (IP), inositol-1,4,5-triphosphate $(IP_3)$ and p-nitrophenylphosphate (PNPP). On the other hand, alkaline phosphatase (ALPase, EC 3.1.3.1) showed to active to PNPP and IP substrates among them. ACPase and ALPase showed the maximum enzyme activities at pH 5.2 with 50 mM acetate buffer and at pH 7.8 with 50 mM Hepes buffer in the presence of $Mg^{2+}$, respectively. In the effect of $Na^+$ and $K^+$ on both ACPase and ALPase, these ions had no effect at all on ACPase, but 50 mM $Na^+$ and 100 mM $K^+$ showed maximum activation on ALPase by 3.4 times. Divalent cations, $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ showed no effect at all on ACPase, but 0.2 mM $Mg^{2+}$ stimulated ALPase significantly about 5 times. On the other hand, $Ca^{2+}$ represented competitive inhibition to $Mg^{2+}$ effect on ALPase. Ouabain had no effect at all, but L-phenylalanine showed a minor stimulation on ALPase. 생쥐 뇌 세포질 분획을 DEAE-Cellulose Chromatography와 Sephadex G-150 gel Chromatography 등에 의해 acid 및 alkaline phosphatase로 분리, 부분정제하였을 때 각각 91배와 15배의 정제율을 나타내는 분획을 얻었다. 이들의 기질특이성을 보았을 때, 사용한 여러 기질 중에서 acid phosphatase(ACPase)는 p-nitrophenylphosphate에만 작용하였으며, alkaline phosphatase(ALPase) 경우는 p-nitrophenylphosphate 외에도 inositol phosphate를 가수분해하는 특성을 나타냈다. ACPase는 50 mM acetate buffer, pH 5.2에서 최고 활성도를, ALPase 경우는 $Mg^{2+}$ 존재하의 50 mM Hepes buffer, pH 7.8에서 최고의 활성도를 나타냈다. 여러 무기이온의 영향을 보았을 때, ACPase는 $Na^+$와 $K^+$ 및 $Mg^+$ 등에 의해 전혀 영향을 받지 않았으나, ALPase 경우는 $Na^+$ 50 mM과 $K^+$ 100 mM 에서 약 3.4배의 활성화를 나타냈고, 한편 0.2mM $Mg^{2+}$에 의해서는 약 5배의 활성도 증가를 보였으며, $Ca^{2+}$에 의해서는 저해현상과 동시에 $Mg^{2+}$에 대해 경쟁적 저해를 나타냈다. ALPase에 대한 ouabain 및 L-phenylalanine의 영향을 보았을 때, ouabain은 별 영향이 없었으나, L-phenylalanine의 경우는 약간의 활성화를 나타냈다.

        두 가지 유형의 복합운동 트레이닝이 농촌 노인의 일상생활체력에 미치는 영향

        이 연구의 목적은 두 가지 유형의 복합운동 트레이닝이 농촌 노인의 일상생활체력에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이었다. 농업에 종사하는 65세 이상의 남?여 노인 39명(저항성운동과 걷기 집단 13명, 에어로빅과 요가 집단 13명, 통제 집단 13명) 중 트레이닝 집단의 경우 12주간 주 3회, 일일 60분씩 해당된 운동을 실시하였다. 두 가지의 복합운동 트레이닝 프로그램은 농업인 체육활동 참여실태에서 조사된 선호종목과 실시 가능성을 종합적으로 고려하여 구성되었다. 이 연구에서 얻은 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신체구성과 관련하여 두 가지 복합운동 집단에서 체지방량과 체지방률의 유의한 변화가 없었으나, 통제집단의 체지방량은 유의하게 증가된것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일상생활체력과 관련하여 저항성운동과 걷기 집단의 경우 아령들기, 페그보드, 앉아윗몸앞으로굽히기, 발스테핑, 눈뜨고외발서기, tandem test, 그리고 10m 보행에서 트레이닝에 따라 유의한 향상이 나타났으며, 에어로빅과 요가 집단은 아령들기, 의자앉아일어서기, 페그보드, 앉아윗몸앞으로굽히기, 그리고 10m 보행에서 유의한 향상이 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 12주간의 저항성운동과 걷기의 병행 실시에 따라 상완 근지구력, 협응성, 유연성, 민첩성, 정적·동적 평형성, 그리고 보행능력이 향상되었으며, 에어로빅과 요가에 비하여 일상생활체력의 향상에 보다 효과적이었다고 결론지을 수 있다. 도시 노인에 비하여 체력과 건강수준이 떨어져 있고 도시에 비하여 체육활동 참여여건이 열악한 복지의 사각지대에 있는 농촌 노인의 건강 증진을 위하여 효과적인 운동 프로그램을 개발?제공하는 노력이 계속 경주되어야 할 것이다. This study was designed to investigate the effects of two kinds of combined exercise training for 12 weeks on daily living fitness in elderly farmers. Thirty-nine farmers, aged above 65 yrs, volunteered to participate in the study as subjects and were divided into one of three groups, i.e., the 1st combined exercise training group (resistance exercise and walking: n=13), the 2nd combined exercise training group (aerobic dance and yoga: n=13), and control group (n=13). Subjects in two combined training groups performed their assigned exercise one hr/day, three days/wk for 12 weeks. Data obtained at pre- and post-test were compared among three groups and between two tests utilizing two-way ANOVA with repeated measures. The results of the present study were as follows: 1) There was no significant change in fat mass and percent body fat in two combined exercise training groups, whereas fat mass increased significantly in control group. 2) Arm curl, manipulating pegs in a pegboard, sit-and-reach, foot stepping, one leg standing with eyes-open, tandem test, and 10m walking speed were improved significantly in the 1st combined exercise training group. Arm curl, chair stand, manipulating pegs in a pegboard, sit-and-reach, and 10m walking speed were improved significantly in the 2nd combined exercise training group. It was concluded that muscular endurance of upper arm, coordination, flexibility, agility, balance, and gait function were improved by combined exercise training of resistance exercise and walking and that the combined exercise training was more effective for enhancing daily living fitness in the elderly farmers than the combined exercise training of aerobics and yoga. A great deal of efforts should be made to develop an effective exercise program for elderly farmers, whose health and fitness level is lower than urban dwellers of same age.

        국내 엘리트 학생 운동선수의 한약복용 실태와 도핑에 대한 인식 조사

        The purpose of this study was to investigate how the oriental medicine was supplemented by male and female Korean elite student athletes and perception of doping. Data were obtained from 2,136 middle school, high school, and collegiate elite student athletes by the questionnaire and frequency analysis. Main results of the present study were as follows: 1) Many athletes have taken or are taking the oriental medicines for the purpose of improving health, recovering fatigue, and enhancing athletic performance, and so on. However, despite the fact that it should be prescribed in consideration of individual characteristics due to the characteristics of oriental medicine, the proportion of taking oriental medicine without prescription by oriental medical doctors was high, and relatively many athletes were taking animal and vegetable preparations privately manufactured. Most cases were taken without knowing the ingredients. In addition, there was less experience of doping education related to oriental medicine, and it was found that the understanding of the anti-doping ingredients in oriental medicine was relatively low. In conclusion, although many student athletes were taking oriental medicine, the knowledge and understanding of the risk of doping was low. Therefore, a thorough analysis of the anti-doping ingredients in the oriental medicine and systematic doping education are warranted.

        12주간의 비타민D 섭취와 순환운동이 제2형 당뇨병과 비타민D 결핍 노인 여성의 낙상관련 변인에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 12 weeks of vitamin D supplementation and circuit training on falling injury-related variables (daily living fitness and isokinetic muscle function) in T2D and vitamin D deficient elderly women. Fifty-two elderly women were randomly assigned to vitamin D supplementation with circuit training group (D+T: n=15), circuit training group(T:n=13), vitamin D supplementation group(D:n=11), and control group(CON: n=13). The subjects in D group had vitamin D for 1,200 IU per day, and the subjects in T group exercised 3-4 times per wk, 25-40 min per session for 12 weeks, and the subjects in D+T group were provided both treatments. Subjects in CON group were asked to maintain normal daily life pattern for same period of intervention. Main results of the present study were as follows: 1) Muscle strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, gait ability, and balance improved significantly in D+T and T groups. 2) Muscular endurance, dynamic balance, and isokinetic strength of knee flexor improved significantly in D group. It was concluded that circuit training would be beneficial for improving falling injury-related variables. Although effects of vitamin D supplementation for 12 weeks was not huge, the effects on several variables were significant. Further research investigating the effects of vitamin D supplementation with various amount and period would be warranted.

      • 수지첨부 손상의 임상적 고찰

        One hundred and twenty five cases of the fingertip injuries were operated at the Department of Plastic Surgery of Konkuk Medical Center of Chungju from Jan. 1994 to Nov. 1998. There were 129 patients with 138 fingertip injuries. Patients were most commonly occurred in their fourth decade which was 34(27%)cases and male to female ratio was 2.7:1. Third finger was the most frequently affected site which was shown in at 41 cases(29.7%), next 2nd finger and 4th came in order. The most common levels of digit injured were nail bed and nail matrix. The injuries were chiefly caused by a kinds of press, door, and cultivator belt. The crushing injury was the most common type of wound. Local anesthesia was mainly used to operate the fingertip injuries.

        10주간의 줄넘기 트레이닝이 일반 대학생의 신체구성, 체력, 혈중 지질 및 인슐린 민감도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 10주간의 줄넘기 트레이닝이 신체구성, 체력, 혈중 지질 및 인슐린 민감도에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이었다. 그 동안 줄넘기 연구에서 배제되어 왔던 일반 대학생을 대상으로 16명을 선정하여 8명씩 트레이닝집단과 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 트레이닝집단의 피검자들은 최대심박수의 60~75% 수준에서 50분간, 주 4회, 10주간 줄넘기 트레이닝을 실시하였다. 처치 전후에 신체구성, 체력, 혈중 지질 및 인슐린 민감도와 관련된 종속변인을 측정하여 집단 간, 그리고 검사 간에 비교하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 체중은 트레이닝집단에서만 유의하게 감소하였다. 2) 배근력, 순발력, 근지구력 및 심폐지구력이 트레이닝집단에서만 유의하게 향상되었다. 3) 혈중 지질과 인슐린 민감도와 관련된 변인은 두 집단 모두에서 유의하게 변화되지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 볼 때, 줄넘기 트레이닝은 일반 대학생의 체중 조절과 체력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 일반적인 유산소 트레이닝 결과 나타나는 혈중 지질과 인슐린 민감도의 개선이 본 연구에서는 나타나지 않았는데, 이러한 변화는 트레이닝의 유형, 처치 중 식사 통제, 그리고 트레이닝 기간 등의 영향을 받는 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 다양한 기간, 강도, 시간, 그리고 빈도에 따라 구성된 줄넘기 트레이닝의 효과를 규명하는 후속 연구가 필요하다고 판단된다. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of a 10-week rope skipping training on body composition, physical fitness, blood lipid profiles, and insulin sensitivity. Sixteen collegiate students were assigned to either training group(TR: n=8) or control group(CON: n=8). The subjects in TR group went through the rope skipping training performed at 60~75% of HRmax for 50 min/session, four times/week for 10 weeks. Dependent variables were measured and compared between two groups as well as between pre test and post test. Main results were as follows: 1) Body weight decreases significantly in only TR group due to the training. 2) There were significant improvement in back strength, muscular power, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance in only TR group. 3) There were not statistically significant changes in variables related to blood lipid profiles and insulin sensitivity in both groups. It was concluded that the rope skipping training would have positive effects on body weight control and the improvement of physical fitness. Improvement of blood lipid profiles and insulin sensitivity, found in many previous studies regarding to effects of aerobic training, may be affected by mode of training, control of diet during intervention, and/or training period.

        흡수성 SR-Poly(L/DL)-lactide(70/30) 고정장치를 이용한 하악골절의 고정

        Metal fixation device, titanium miniplate is commonly used in facial bone fixation. But metal fixation device requires secondary removal procedure because of such complications as bony atrophy, metallic corrosion, low carcinogenic risk, growth disturbance of craniofacial skeleton, and endocranial migration of device which may lead to pediatric craniofacial surgery. Bioabsorbable plates lose strength retention after a given period of time unlike metalic plates, are degraded and absorbed completely in human body. Because they yield no metalic complications nor risks, and require no secondary removal, their use has been recently increased in fixation of facial bone.Self-inforced(SR)-poly(L/DL) lactide(70/30%) plate is applied for the fixation of midfacial bone in adult. But its weak strength brings concern about the skeletal stability, and makes surgeons hesitate its application to mandibular fractures. SR-poly(L/DL) lactide are rarely used especially in mandibular fractures. The authors used Biosorb FX 2.0 plate in 58 patients of mandibular fractures by open reduction and internal fixation. The duration of intermaxillary fixation was 7 days in 12 patients of multiple fractures. Follow-up period was 4 to 16 months(mean; 12 months). Complications included 2 cases with malocclusion, 6 cases with sensory disturbance and no infection was reported. The malocclusion was solved by minimal occlusal grinding, and sensory disturbance was temporary. The authors applied bicortical fixation of two plate system(thickness 1.2mm) with long screws or large diameter screws to mandibular fractures and obtained sufficient skeletal stability. The risk of tissue reaction associated with possible postimplantative crystallization of SR-poly(L/DL) lactide(70/ 30%) could be reduced. They report their experiences with review of literature.
