Dynamic Electrical Impedance Tomography with Internal Electrodes

전기 임피던스 단층촬영법은 물체 표면의 전극을 통하여 전류를 주입하고 유기된 전압을 측정한 후, 물체 단면의 저항을 분포를 복원하는 기법이다. 본 논문에서는, 대상물체의 저항을 값의 분포가 급변하는 상황에 대한 동적 전기저항 단층활영법을 제안하였다. 특히, 복원 성능을 개선하기 위하여 물체 내부의 구조를 전극으로 사용하였으며, 비 선형 역문제를 상태 추정문제로 설정하여 확장 칼만필터를 이용하여 상태변수(저항율)를 추정하였다. 또한 역문제의 부정치성을 완화시키기 위하여 수정된 Tikhonov 조정기법을 비용함수에 도입하였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하기 위해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행했으며, 기존의 방법들에 비해 개선된 결과를 얻었다. Electrical impedance tomography(EIT) is a relatively new imaging modality in which the internal impedivity distribution is reconstructed based on the known sets of injected currents and measured voltages on the surface of the object. We describe a dynamic EIT imaging technique for the case where the resistivity distribution inside the object changes rapidly within the time taken to acquire a full set of independent measurement data. In doing so, the inverse problem is treated as the state estimation problem and the unknown state (resistivity) is estimated with the aid of extended Kalman filter in a minimum mean square error sense. In particular, additional electrodes are attached to the known internal structure of the object to enhance the reconstruction performance and modified Tikhonov regularization technique is employed to mitigate the ill-posedness of the inverse problem. Computer simulations are provided to illustrate the reconstruction performance of the proposed algorithm.

전기 임피던스 단층촬영법을 이용한 정적 영상 복원에서 대표적으로 사용되고 있는 복원 알고리즘은 modified Newton-Raphson(mNR) 알고리즘으로 수렴 속도 및 추정 정확도 측면에서 비교적 다른 알고리즘들에 비해 좋은 성능을 나타낸다. mNR 알고리즘에서는 측정 전압과 계산 전압과의 차이, 즉 잔류오차를 최소화하도록 목적함수를 설정하고 이를 반복 연산하여 내부의 저항률 분포를 추정한다. 이때 EIT 역문제의 비정치성을 완화시키기 위해 조정방법을 사용하며 조정인자에 따라 서로 다른 영상 복원 성능을 나타낸다. 기존 기법에서는 반복 연산마다 일정한 상수 값의 조정인자를 사용하기 때문에 대상 물체의 내부 상태가 변하거나 측정 잡음 등이 있는 경우 때때로 조정인자에 따라 영상 복원이 수렴되지 않는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영상 복원 수렴 및 성능을 개선하기 위하여 잔류오차에 기반하여 반복 연산마다 자동적으로 조정인자를 수정하는 기법을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행하여 제안된 기법의 영상 복원성능을 평가한 결과 비교적 양호한 성능을 나타내었다. In electrical impedance tomography (EIT), modified Newton Raphson (mNR) method is widely used inverse algorithm for static image reconstruction due to its convergence speed and estimation accuracy. The unknown conductivity distribution is estimated iteratively by minimizing a cost functional such that the residual error namely the difference in measured and calculated voltages is reduced. Although, mNR method has good estimation performance, EIT inverse problem still suffers from ill-conditioned and ill-posedness nature. To mitigate the ill-posedness, generally, regularization methods are adopted. The inverse solution is highly dependent on the choice of regularization parameter. In most cases, the regularization parameter has a constant value and is chosen based on experience or trail and error approach. In situations, when the internal distribution changes or with high measurement noise, the solution does not get converged with the use of constant regularization parameter. Therefore, in this paper, in order to improve the image reconstruction performance, we propose a new scheme to determine the regularization parameter. The regularization parameter is computed based on residual error and updated every iteration. The proposed scheme is tested with numerical simulations and laboratory phantom experiments. The results show an improved reconstruction performance when using the proposed regularization scheme as compared to constant regularization scheme.

In many student it has been demonstrated that donor-derived cells would eventually replace the hematopoietic and immune system of the recipient after allogeneie bone marrow transplantation (B.M.T). And there are siveral case reports desering resolution or development of autommune deseases after BMT. Psoriasis is considered to be an autoimmune disease of abnormal keratinocyte proliteration induced by T lymphocytes. Herein we describe a 17-year-old woman presenting with guttate psoriasis, who suffered from acute lymphocytic leukcmia and underwent allogencie BMT 6 months ago This is the First case of gultate psoriasis possibly associated with BMT in thee Korean literature.

The case of an unusual desmoplastic variant of trichilemmoma arising in the face of a 72-year-old man is reported. Desmoplastic trichilemmoma is characterized by the presence of a densely sclerotic stroma, surrounded by lobules of epithelial cells with features of outer root sheath differentiation, including glycogen-rich, clear cytoplasms and peripheral palisading. In the central part of the tumor, irregular cords and nests of epithelial cells entrapped in the desmoplastic stroma are found. The pathological appearance can mimic trichilemmal carcinoma, morpheic basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Recognition of this benign neoplasm as such will prevent misdiagnosis and unnecessary aggressive treatment. (Korean J Dermatol 2001;39(12):1407~1410)

Survival from malignant melanoma has improved, and as a consequence, the possibility of raised risk of second primary cancers needs to be taken into account in clinical management. We report two cases of second primary cancers in patients with cutaneous malignant melanoma. One is a 61-year-old man suffered from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with acral lentiginous melanoma, the other is a 65-year-old woman who suffered from malignant lymphoma with superficial spreading melanoma. Goals of this dissertation are comparison and analysis of homogeneity between Kim, Choon Soo's literature and Rilke's. Object of comparison and analysis is existentialistic and ontological viewpoint of Kim, Choon Soo and Rilke in common. Existentialistic and ontological viewpoint of Rilke's literature gains the sympathy from many Korean poets who undergo cruel horrors and dehumanization of the Korean War and gives enormous influence to Korean poems. Rilke's influence on Kim, Choon Soo's poems appears considerably in early poems of Kim, Choon Soo. Poetic dictions like flower, darkness, angel, rose in Kim, Choon Soo's poems were already used in Rilke's poems many times. In addition, oppositive composition and Dinggedicht type of Kim, Choon Soo's poems have similar composition of Rilke's poems. In this way, influences of Rilke's literature exist in contents, formal composition and latent consciousness of poem's base in Kim, Choon Soo's poems. Theme of early Kim, Choon Soo's poems is 'research of infinity' about being, so his 'research of infinity' starts from Rilke's pomes and continues to longing and pursue about absoluteness. As Kim, Choon Soo accepts, his poems which are known as 'poem of existence' or 'poem of the inner world' have similar image of Rilke's poems. Since 1962, Kim, Choon Soo's poems have had different aspect in comparison to Rilke's poems. Afterward, Kim, Choon Soo's poems are changed to poems of purposelessness like 'Cheoyong Danjang'. Kim, Choon Soo said that, his poems of purposelessness have no relationship with Rilke's poems. The most important thing is that Kim, Choon Soo had composed poem thanks to Rilke's baptism and has undergo existential and ontological viewpoint of Rilke's poetry world and finally made his own poetry world. Thus Rilke's influences have creative and evolutive effect on Kim, Choon Soo's poems.
